2005-10-07 09:50:06 AM
Let me guess, alcohol was involved.

2005-10-07 03:55:04 PM

2005-10-07 03:55:26 PM

2005-10-07 03:55:32 PM
It flew into his eye, actually.

2005-10-07 03:55:39 PM
Let me guess, alcohol was involved.

In the fishing or writing the headline above?

2005-10-07 03:55:47 PM
"It's my lucky weight now. I will carry it around with me," said Mr Williams, of Acrefair.

Actually, wouldn't any other weight be his lucky weight? Y'know.. one that DIDN'T hook him in the face?

/just sayin'

2005-10-07 03:55:56 PM
"Lucky weight now". Uh-huh. Not really dumbass.

2005-10-07 03:56:23 PM
Oh sure, it's always a party 'til someone gets a lead weight in their eye. OWIE!

2005-10-07 03:56:35 PM
"I was so lucky - if it had been a few millimetres in the other direction then I would have lost my eye," he said.

"Lucky" is not getting hit in the face at all,

2005-10-07 03:56:41 PM
That's pretty amazing stuff. I bet he regrets causing the bad karma of fishing to descend into his skull.

/serves him right
//Yes I'm kinda serious

2005-10-07 03:56:41 PM
I hooked my brother's eye brow when we were kids. He was standing behind me when i went to cast. A fraction of an inch lower and it would have been his eye.

2005-10-07 03:57:01 PM
FAKE!

Everyone knows there are no dentists in Britain, so why would that skull have fillings...

2005-10-07 03:57:07 PM
Its headlines like these where I don't feel bad about never getting a greenlight.

wait, I mean I never manged to get hook my headline fark website top of page to.

2005-10-07 03:57:14 PM
"It's my lucky weight now. I will carry it around with me so I can constantly give myself lead poisoning," said Mr Williams, of Acrefair.

Fix that quote for him.

2005-10-07 03:57:36 PM
It really doesn't seem like it should be that hard to form one cohesive sentence, especially if you're attempting to get a greenlight.

2005-10-07 03:57:44 PM
It flew into his eye, actually.

/rtfa
//it was damn close to his eye.

2005-10-07 03:57:48 PM
I did that once, but it wasn't into my face it was my uncle's. And it wasn't really his face but down the back of his pants. Wait, we're still talking about lead weights here right?

2005-10-07 03:57:53 PM
"It's my lucky weight now. I will carry it around with me," said Mr Williams, of Acrefair.

-What takes more stupidity, imbedding a weight in your face or subsequently deciding that the weight must be lucky???
Darwin sees a future of lead poisoning.

2005-10-07 03:58:00 PM
Wow, modern dental work visible in a British x-ray? Who knew...?

/low hanging fruit, I'm tired

2005-10-07 03:58:00 PM

I bet he regrets causing the bad karma of fishing to descend into his skull.

Bad Karma of Fishing? WTF?

2005-10-07 03:58:58 PM
I work for Mr. Williams.

So I am really getting a kick out of most of these replies.

Some of you guys are very good at making it sound like you know what you are talking about.

But trust me.... You don't.

I think you just want to make yourself sound smart, when in reality you dont know what you are talking about.

This is how bad info gets passed around.

If you dont know about the topic....Dont make yourself sound like you do.

Cuz some Farkers belive anything they hear.

That is how you know he is not a native...

2005-10-07 03:59:39 PM
Fishing is a scary sport. I for one don't enjoy standing anywhere near someone flailing around a lead weight and a hook at the end of a near invisible line.

2005-10-07 03:59:42 PM
You just know this happened as the result of some kinky weird cosplay thing. This stuff doesnt "just happen".

/Look at his teeth!

2005-10-07 03:59:43 PM
I think he was so lucky - if it had been a few millimetres in the other direction then I bet he would have lost his eye.

2005-10-07 03:59:50 PM

2005-10-07 04:00:34 PM
"But my mates ran over to me and they could see the tip of the weight sticking out of my eye socket". </i.

It went through his eyehole and shattered his cheekbone, yet the eye itself was undamaged? WTF?

I'd call that lucky.

I got hook a lead weight into a kids ear at Santa Clara Pueblo many moons ago. Problem was I thought it was caught on some brush or something, and kept whipping the fishing rod to get unhook it until he screamed. It was his fault.

2005-10-07 04:00:55 PM
Mr Williams, who works at Wrexham chemical plant Flexys underwent an emergency operation at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, where surgeons took the weight out.

Where is this, Middle Earth?

2005-10-07 04:01:09 PM
