2 more systems on the way - one off the Leeward Islands, one in the Yucatan channel - both will head toward Florida, with the one in the Yucatan channel appearing to be going straight for the Tampa Bay area - that will be Tropical Storm Vince at some point tomorrow.

Gee, it sure sucks to be up here in Canada. Hot summers, beautiful springs and falls, winters spent havin fun, riding skidoos, skiing, playing pond hockey, watching kids build snow forts...

Wish I was down south, where the weather is nice.

Tornadoes, hurricanes, heat stroke, smog, oh yeah.

Wish I was up north, where the weather is nice.

Hey - did lex show back up yet?

OK this is the deal according to Tom Terry.

Stan hit Mexico - then split into two. One storm is now in the Pacific - the other is in the gulf.

This would be Vince - or is expected to be Vince. So yes Kiddies, we get another Gulf storm this farking year.

Also - there is a blob of something annoying coming in from Cape Verde. Lex said there would be more Cape Verde storms coming in, and I thought he was full of shiat.

Its a tie between that one out in the Atlantic becoming Vince, and the one in the gulf. At any rate - after Vince - we get Wilma

Someone MAKE IT STOP

THERE you are - what the fark Lex - what the fark? The one in the Gulf is coming for me in Orlando - What the fark?

Tammy is peeing on me right now - and THAT should not be happening either.

WHAT THE fark!

Where is Just Ignorant? He is in Tampa.

Of course I am here. Thanks for noticing the Cape Verde activity, but...

Cape Verde blob is under a lot of shear and will not develop into a depression within the next 72 hours.

Blob near Yucatan/Cuba is showing signs of circulation and should be Vince, soon if not already, and will head toward west FLA coast.

Blob near leeward islands may become Wilma if shear dies down as expected over the next 12-24 hours, will head toward FLA/GA/Carolina coastline before being rocketed up towards the north Atlantic.

The GFS modeling shows something even more interesting - the remnants of Tammy and the remnants of Stan kind of morph into one cyclone, which then threatens the Eastern Gulf of Mexico.

Nice headline, submitter, though it's been said.
Reminds me of many breakfasts at The Hairlip Cafe aka Waffle House.

You mean Tammy crosses over and does not just whiz into nothing?

By the way - Tom Terry is getting that kinda 'don't ask me - I have no farking idea what is going on. You're on your own' look today.

So Vince is going to nail Tampa I take it. This is what Tom Terry showed in his forecast, although he did not speculate about intensity. He said that a 'Low' will nail Tampa, which is all good, but now they are saying there is circulation and that the thing is becoming organized.

If that thing nails Tampa - it will nail me, and we will all flood here to fark and back. There are people starting to flood now as it has NOT stopped raining for like 3 weeks with all this stupid Tropical storm pee, and pee in general, when pee was supposed to have dried up a few weeks ago,

This is so farking wrong, man. What the hell is going on that we are still getting storms forming? I mean, we just had a stupid cold front come through and dry everyone up, and we thought that was it. The farking stationary high that sits over this part of Florida I am going to guess is gone for the season but the storms aren't?

Due to how much early October 2005 is resembling early September for most years, many people (not me, though) are forecasting very active tropical weather well into December. I think that after the next 2 weeks, we'll see the season die down completely, but not before probably hitting a greek name or two.

2005-10-05 10:26:50 PM
If Hurricane Omega hits then my recommendation would be to buy guns, big dogs and canned food. But I think TS Alpha will be showing up shortly.

My guess is that we'll see one more major player hitting the Carolinas at Cat 3 or so stregnth, a couple of fish killers, and Delta will show up in late November doing nothing, bringing a merciful end to this season.

Yucatan blob (aka Stan, the Sequel) didn't seem to be organizing according to NWS. But once it gets out over warm water it can get its act together.

Stan (the Original) has potential to become Stan: The Arrival of Pilar out in the Pacific, as well. Apparently that's the first time a hurricane has managed to spawn one additional storm and then (potentially) reorganize.

Cape Verde blob has potential if the shear dies down.

Not sure about the Leeward blob. Some of the storm followers are saying it has potential but the NWS isn't saying too much.

EnigmaBurn007: calm down there faethe...orlando's been screwed long before tammy showed up with her endless pot of coffee.

But what the fark? I mean, this is bullshiat. You know what? I am feeling guilty we didn;t get slammed this year because we could have handled it a LOT better than those people on the other side of the Gulf did. It seems like everywhere that CAN get a Hurricane on the gulf and Atlantic coast, is getting one. That is so wrong.

Early September? Oh nice. That's when we get the ass crackers or got the ass crackers last year. What the hell is all this stuff? WHY is this happening?

OK - this, I am assuming, is what happened early in the last century when most of the penninusla of Florida was uninhabitable - right? Do you know like right now, they are redesigning the evac routes in and out of Florida - because the shiat that happened in Texas frightened the shiat out of everyone here? And we play nice with these things. fark. I didn't even bother to make shutters this year, because the stationary high was in place again.

After "Ivan and Ivan Jr/version2" situation last year, how come the remnants of Stan don't get to keep that name?

How come you think tropical weather formation will cease in mid-October?

Tom Terry said for sure we are getting a Low off that mess - the circulation thing is news to me - it did just look like a big ball of nothing earlier. How warm is the water out there? Its humid as fark over here right now - but you know that's Tammy and the endless pee thing going on.

2005-10-05 10:30:35 PM
mysha: After "Ivan and Ivan Jr/version2" situation last year, how come the remnants of Stan don't get to keep that name?

Because it split in two - so now its two storms.

Yeah - that's never happened before.

2005-10-05 10:31:40 PM
mysha, apparently, Ivan v2 was the original Ivan, trekking across the southeast, then down the Atlantic coast, across the Florida Keys and then into Texas.

Stan, on the other hand, has its main energy circular getting ready to cross into the Pacifc (where it'd become Pilar) and Yucantan blob is just a piddling remnaint of the real Stan. This is why Stan, the Sequel, may become Vince or Wilma.
