Rodney King doesn't care about black people

---

I don't either.

The fact of the matter is, he threatened his daughter
with a toy!

Before you know it, he'd be throwing marshmellows and
she'd be playing dead.

This isn't like video games, where people pretend to
kill each other 24 hours a day, with virtual fake guns,
and virtual fake marshmellows, his gun was really fake,
not virtual.

/where's Jesse Jackson when you really need him?

Nah, the LAPD and NYPD were raping, beating, and killing unarmed, often innocent people. oh wait. they're still doing that.

HonornotInner: the most famous drug addict in the world

who got rich because the cops kicked his ass

while he was on drugs

the cops were aquitted

LA rioted

He was pulled over for wreckless driving, and suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was told to get on the ground, which he did, at first. He then charged at the officers, and they had to get their nightsticks to beat him.

The part where King charges the police is also on the full footage, but for some reason, CNN never showed that part of the footage.

All Rodney Kings should be aborted.....it'll reduce crime.

Albinoman: King's behavior suggested he was on PCP. He was combative towards the police, he charged them despite their overwhelming odds, and when they used a taser on him (twice) he didn't go down. At that point, the police had to treat him like a rockhead, and that means to pile on and beat the shiat out of him. It takes a lot of pain to take down a rockhead, and that's precisely what they gave him. Seriously, check with people that have experience dealing with druggies and ask them what a rockhead is capable of doing.

The only thing that the cops did wrong was use racial slurs. I'm not a big fan of the police, but I do understand that their goal is to go home in at least the same condition they were in when they arrived at work, and they'll do whatever is necessary to make sure that happens.

Well put, and worth repeating.

All of the crap and rioting from '92 was a complete farce. This becomes more evident as time goes by. The rampant anti-intellectual bent of many inner city blacks has become an albatross of their own making.

And not that you asked, but I'm afraid this country is poised to P.C. itself into the crapper. I hope I'm wrong.

2005-09-30 10:59:31 PM
well, you are right the LAPD was horrible at that time. But it surprises me to hear you say they are still that way what with the black police chief who was gonna shake things up.

THIS IS BECAUSE HE'S A NEGRO.

Not all of the country, but some of it. A larger part is poised to fall into the crapper because it can't be bothered to do anything that would prevent its fall. The rest is just watching this happen, shaking its head, and thriving. Fortunately, you can choose which group you're part of.

I may often be called a lefty, hippy, etc...

But political correctnes needs to die a horrible, horrible death. I refuse to call anyone an African American unless they have a, you know, dual citizen ship. I won't really group people into categories of 'black' and 'white', but if I'm describing someone, I'm gonna describe the color of your skin as part of the description. There is no color called "African American", damnit...

"He's my dad, but he was mad and he threatened to kill me!"

"What did he say to you?"

"He said he would shoot me!"

"Rodney King is your dad? And he said that?"

"Yes"

"Where were you at the time?"

"I was on the couch, we were playing the video game,
and that's when he got angry, and said he'd kill me!"

"You said he had a gun, where is it?"

"In the game..."

This guy didn't cause any riots, it was a bunch of crazy ghetto kids looking for an excuse to cause violence, they burned down their own neighborhoods for the love of god.

2005-09-30 11:16:08 PM
what? no "that's racist" kid videos?

There's a reason the jury found the cops innocent. It's because they were.

Most people I knew in LA at the time didnt think those cops were innocent. Even the cops I worked with didnt think they were innocent. A few days after the beating, I spoke with Capt. Tim McBride the CO for those officers and he was still in shock. He told me they missed a "golden opportunity" to handcuff King and "blew it." There was a brief moment when King didnt move while he was prone. The officers could have swarmed him then. Instead, there was more beating. Plus, it didnt help that several officers were on the other side of a patrol car chatting to themselves. They were completely unaware of what was happening and thought it was handled. Too bad they didnt bother to look at what was happening 30 feet away.

Albinoman
ARC7, you cant actually look at those tapes tell me they werent taking the "subduing" a little far. Theres no reason that four grown men couldnt pin one unarmed guy down and cuff him, no matter what kind of fit he was throwing.

King exhibited behavior of a suspect high on PCP. Experienced officers know that four grown men may not be able to handle a PCP suspect. Plus, only three officers would be available since the Sgt. was holding the Taser gun. Remember, Ke started the high speed chase, knocked over 2 officers (LA School Police, I think) and withstood 2 jolts from the Taser. Tactically, the officers started out fine; but they spiraled out of control.

The only thing that the cops did wrong was use racial slurs.

Beating an unarmed man after missing the golden opportunity to handcuff him isnt wrong? Was Brisenos boot to the head a right thing to do?

Here is my poem for those too young to remember this event in American History

Rodney King is a negro that likes to smoke crack
In '92 some cracker pigs wacked him in the back
The pigs were charged but a jury let them free
LA caught on fire...OH GOLLY GEE

Bill Hicks arrived in London that very same day
While street hoods made trucker Denny really fukin' pay
He took a brick to the noggin, it hurt really bad
But it was justifiable, them blacks were mad

Times have changed, though I still hate cops
And Rodney King is still a thug, I give him no props

White pigs and black thugs, Hmong hunters and white trash
Can't we just get along, my penis has a rash
My poem is losing focus, I need to go to bed
But first I'll eat Taco Bell so I am well fed

(File Photo from 1994)

The best photo they could come up with for the article is 11 years old? It's not like he hasn't been arrested since then.

I approve. Needs a little work on the meter, but very good.

What a waste of time that all was. The fact that he probably deserved the beating doesnt matter one bit.

Officer: Yeah, that tape pf us and King...it's all in how you look at it.

Judge: Really...would you care to explain?

Officer: Yeha, it's all in how you look at it...for instance, if you play the tape backwards, you can see us help King up and send him on his way...

Everyone knows you can't have your ex and your new girl in the same room...much less LIVING under the same roof...The toy gun was gonna show itself eventually. The only thing I don't get is him pulling it on his daughter. Must be a little whipped in the lovin' department if ya ask me.

deviantpdx Using my Google skills, I determined he received $3.5 million for getting Rodney Kinged. Though I'm willing to bet he MC Hammered his money away.

Rodney got enough millions to supply him with all the booze, hookers and drugs for a long life which he won't have.

And on another note, I'm tired of people trying to excuse the riots as a "way for blacks to demonstrate their frustration with the system."

What, are you telling me that the racists are right, and black people really are nothing but ignorant savages? That's precisely what your excuse says.

Is that correct? I still have an article I clipped from those days, where Jesse Jackson defends the riots by saying that blacks are very emotional people and this is what happens when they don't get their way. Is Jesse right?

Let's get the facts straight here - the riots were NOT about expressing frustration. The riots were about a bunch of low-life thugs using a controversial situation as their excuse to break laws. They didn't give a damn about King, all they cared about was looting and destroying.

I don't think it's so much that they're Attractive and

Jackson said, it's all the fault of the Attractive and
Successful American Americans.

"Let's get the facts straight here - the riots were NOT about expressing frustration. The riots were about a bunch of low-life thugs using a controversial situation as their excuse to break laws. They didn't give a damn about King, all they cared about was looting and destroying."

How about the race riots in Chicago and Tulsa, and Omaha in the early 1900s? Blacks used violence then to fight back, would you say it was a bad thing? If you say its "a bunch of thugs breaking laws", then tell me how should a second class citizen fight back against lynching and injustice? L.A. minorities finally have the authority by the balls...and they get set free. 300 years of fustration boiled over. Do not give me that "BUT SLAVERY ENDED IN THE MID 1800s", because while the act of enslaving was made illegal, minorities were still second class citizens well into the 20th century.

If you say its "a bunch of thugs breaking laws", then tell me how should a second class citizen fight back against lynching and injustice?

How about not burning up your own damn neighborhood, for a start?

If they were burning up some upperclass white place, maybe, just maybe, I could buy a small piece of your argument. Those places came out unscathed. Instead, they burned up businesses in their neighborhood....including ones that were (gasp) minority owned. Then, after trashing the joints, "neighborhood activists" biatched that no one was opening up businesses to replace the ones that were torched & looted. Come on.....even if they wanted to, who the hell was going to insure them?

It makes as much sense as saying, "Tommy hurt my feelings, so I destroyed all my toys.....and now Mommy & Daddy HAVE to buy me better ones! And a pony!"

If your kids gave you that line of shiat, would you head off to Toys R Us?

2005-10-01 03:21:08 AM
"The L.A. riots helped this country understand what was going on in the inner cities for minorities."

What we got was minorities burning down other minority businesses, coming in from OTHER CITIES AS FAR AWAY AS 100 MILES to loot, gangsters settling "scores" and shooting each other, hitting an innocent truck driver in the head with a brick and celebrating it...

I don't know about you, but ever been hit with a nightstick? For all the blows King got, the cops were NOT trying to severely injure him. Those sticks can break bones. Cause SEVERE lacerations and internal bleeding. How many of you could be tasered TWICE and get up and RUN afterwards? How would YOU deal with someone who did?
Rodney continues to abuse the system, getting 3 million dollars for it. Sick.

LittleRedVette: Thank you for putting it in better words than I could have. My belief is that when you're upset that the police treat you like ignorant savages, going out and acting like the aforementioned ignorant savages and destroying your own local economy does not go far in changing minds.
