Useless trivia: The ex-surfer cop from Cali, in the series premiere of Witchblade was caught watching Thundercats when Sara (?) visited him in the wee morning hours.

And, no, I've never seen an episode of Thundercats.

I loved the Thundercats. I dressed up like Cheetarah last year for Halloween.

OK, I've said too much...

The scariest part about this article is the bit at the end about fanfic. *shudder*

Voltron, Transformers, GI Joe: YES

Thundercats? Boring and stupid. Even when I was five.

that show sucks, has always sucked, and never will stop with the sucking

If it was a noun, it would be "Suckoff."
If it was a verb, it would be "Suck."
If it was an adjective, it would be "Sucky."

FYI.

If anyone is interested (I'm not) they are posting pictures of Left Eye Lopes' car wreck and (ugh) body over on TotalFark. Sigh. Freedom of the press y'all.

Thundercats... Never liked that show. The hero had a major case of fag hair, and it just got worse from there.

Star Blazers... That's the beez kneez.

Hey... I liked the Thundercats. I still do, when I can catch them on the Cartoon Network.

And I'm glad Matt's not dead, he's updating his site pretty regularly again. X-E is what got me started on the internet... *snif* the memories.

What's up with the popups that Popup Stopper doesn't kill? Never happened to me before

Only watched Thundercats because Transformers were on afterwards. And there is a guy at work whose last name is Schnarr. . .close enough to snarff to make fun of him.

Only now can I find someone shouting "Hooooeeeee!" funny.

But I still never really dug that show... I'm still convinced that the good ol' Looney Tunes are the pinnacle of animation excellence.

"Actually it's a buck-and-a-quarter quarterstaff, but I'm not tellin' HIM that."

Looney Tunes! There should have been more Pete Puma and Bugs bunny episodes "How many lumps do you want?" "Oh three or four"

"One of the cool things about the Thundercats series was that it all took place on an alien planet, where the writers were free to introduce weird, foreign characters"

---- What a novel concept! What a master-stroke of ingenuity. I was getting so tired of all the shows being on earth, and them some guy tried a show on a foreign planet but only introduced normal, non-foreign, earth characters.

What's with the recent scourge of attacks on Thundercats? I remember it being one of the few shows I watched in my stand-in house when my family was moving in here. It was and still is, awesome.

You know, Im seriously beginning to question just who the hell is picking the submission articles. I am forever trying to get something submitted and yet I see this crap. The farking Thundercats? Oh dear lord. Makes me wonder just how impure the crack is that is being smoked...

Okay, I used to see that show, and even then I thought it was a little insipid. But I couldn't help myself. One word Cheetara. Hated the kids, Tigra (or Tygra, even that writer couldn't keep it straight) was foo-foo, Lion-O was a stiff goodie-goodie and Jaga was an awful "Ben Kenobi" clone. Panthor was a cool cat (pun intended, slightly), but Cheetara, ooh yeah. Her I wanted to pet. Oh, shiat, I'm drunk. Cheetara.

I used to watch "My Little Pony" when I was younger in the '80s,and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I have come to terms.

2002-04-29 08:51:18 AM
I always wondered why Lion-O took that big coward Snarf everywhere with him. If he needed a sidekick, take Cheetara. That way, when things get boring, just duck into a cave for some nookie-wookie.

Bah...this show was great.
MumRa was awesome. ^,^

I'm also not ashamed to say I enjoyed lots and lots of
cartoons when I was a kid...He-Man, She-Ra, Silverhawks(;p),
G.I. Joe, TMNT, Transformers, Go-Bots, Conan, D&D,
Exo-Squad, Robotech, Lone-Star and a bajillion others I
can't think of.

And yes, only slightly ashamed to admit I enjoyed watching
My Little Pony, Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake(tho,
that was ages < 5 so I'm slightly excused from that argu-
ment...).

Now I watch boatloads of anime(I have 3200+ episodes ^^;)

Greatest cartoon....ever.

What's with all this Thundercats hatred?

Thundercats was a great cartoon. It was made in Japan... The animation is much better than typical American cartoons have even today. The stories are silly at times, but they were still very well told, and the show actually had some plot continuity. How many American cartoons have been made where the characters don't evolve much if at all throughout the run of the show?

Thundercats had lots of action but they also had decent voice acting and writing to go along with it.

Compare it to Transformers! I was a big Transformers fan back int he day... still am... but I watched the movie which I'd never seen as a kid a couple years ago, and the animation even for the MOVIE was just BAD compared to Thundercats, and the voice acting and story was total crap.

I really don't understand how anyone can rip on Thundercats... it's a quality show with a creayy catchy theme song, and I think it, unlike Transformers could still be shown side by side with modern cartoons and compare favorably with them both in style and substance.

And who here didn't want their own Thundertank? :-) And Panthro kicked ass! He was a ninja! He had nunchucks before Michaelangelo was even created.

Speaking of which that's another cartoon which TC was of higher quality than... well except the first epsiode. The first episode of the TMNT cartoon was great. Why did they have to screw it up after that.

There's this rather scary fellow where I work who attempted to woo a friend of mine by offering her the gift of several episodes of Thundercats on VHS. Something's not right with that guy.

Of course, he could simply have been offering veiled hints at his prowess - there's no better cartoon phallic symbol than the Sword of Omens, growing several times it's normal length when Lion-O gets all worked up...

oh well...

I watched and played with My Little Pony and Carebears. My mom was a babysitter and I was pimpin with the chicks.
