No. When I'm drunk, I like most people's daughters.

2005-09-24 06:16:36 PM
I like the daughters too, but this ones a little young for me.

I see a shiny metal pole in her future.

Way to establish those behavioral patterns, Dad... try walking her by a tobacco shop, then a fast food restaurant... maybe a shooting range, too.

At first i said to myself "worthless without pics". Then i clicked the article.

:(

Well if mom and dad would stop dressing her like a whore, there wouldn't be a problem.

I thought the dollar bills stuffed in her G-string were a little distasteful.

I didn't know Huggies even made G-strings.

blah, blah, blah, it's amazing how my kid is so incredible, blah, blah, no other child has been like mine, blah blah,

Genetic brainwashing so you don't kill your own spawn.

They are the ones that think their kid running up and down the aisles of a restaurant is cute ... how can anyone not like my kid? ..... Isn't it funny how he's pulling all the cereal boxes off the shelves, ha, ha, ha, ..

Wow, what a prohibitionist.

Flamebait article.

It's funny how the mods/admins can serve up flamer articles, then turn around and ban someone for flaming or straying a bit off-topic in said thread.

Almost as if there's a time and place for it to happen, and times when you don't want some dumbass trying to make people fly off the handle...

"I expect my daughter's popularity will rise to new heights this fall. She has a whole new batch of skills that are sure to worm their way into any drinker's heart.

Oh, man... this article is classic. It's hilarious! I don't see what's wrong... surely you can't believe this is not a humour piece!

Maybe this asshat should learn to be a better parent and not expose his daughter to locales where drunk people hang out in droves.

Hey, it's a admin/mod is an onery job. If they occasionally want to amuse themselves at our expense, that's not too much to offer for all their work.

I feel the same about kittens when I'm drunk. Kittens can be OK after a few drinks, but sober, I'd just assume they were run over by a bus.

At two years old, if you already know that drunks like your kid, you REALLY need to reevaluate your life choices. Perhaps find new friends. Find new places to go to. You know, have some new ideas, new ways of doing things. If you don't, you're kid is going to end up a crack whore dating "Bubba" who is so poor, he goes mudding in a 83 Carrolla.

The Dude: "Jesus."

Jesus Quintana: "You said it, man. Nobody farks with the Jesus."

Walter Sobchak: "Two-year-olds, Dude."

Sure looks like they do. I thought it was obvious. I'm stunned that anyone could believe this was real.

The big upside to turning Alex into the drunk's favorite kid has paid off in dividends. We have lots of free time thanks to the number of single and soused people who meet our child at a party and offer to baby-sit.

Hmmm. Nothing like letting a drunk babysit a 2 year old.

2005-09-24 07:59:36 PM
I'm afraid I have to write-off this article. From my experience, parenthood, at least while the kids are still young, utterly precludes drunkenness, or going out with other people who get drunk. It's simply too damn much effort, and you child's needs must be addressed regardless of whether you're drunk or not.

Besides, kids that age suck all the life out of you, such that after the first beer you fall asleep.

David Moye is a La Mesa-based writer. He craved a dirty vodka martini while writing this story.

Might have something to do with drunk people being more likely to make fools of themselves over cute things than sober ones.

"The big upside to turning Alex into the drunk's favorite kid has paid off in dividends. We have lots of free time thanks to the number of single and soused people who meet our child at a party and offer to baby-sit."

(It's always a good idea to let drunken strangers baby-sit the kids--worked great for Lindburgh).
