I've got a couch in the middle of the DFW area if someone needs. You'll have to put up with my dog though, she's friendly, and I smoke....cigarettes.

And please - Texans - we know you are stronger, bigger and more prepared than anyone, but we love you and want you to be safe. We've had one obituary on Fark this week and we don't want any more.

Get out. It's better that you should come back and biatch about having to leave for no reason, than for you to be dead.

Denton, Texas.

Not to far at all. Small, old, mobile home but it's free and you are welcome.

I have a sleeper couch and futon in New York city.

2005-09-22 10:16:54 AM
I was going to offer room in Lafayette, La...but looking at how this thing turned this morning and all the parishes beneath us have closed schools today and tomorrow.....I'm getting the hell out of here, too.

Good luck all you Farkers...if you're in this thing's path LEAVE NOW!

I've got an extra bedroom, couch, and floor space in Austin. We'll probably be dodging some of the storm here, but my house is on high-ish ground. My yahoo e-mail and my AIM name are in my profile. I would love to help some Farkers out.

2005-09-22 10:18:50 AM
Would love to put someone up, unfortunately I live in a Brooklyn railroad... Big ol' "you guys are great!" to those offering. "Best of luck and be safe", to all those down on the gulf coast.

2005-09-22 10:19:13 AM
I live in UK but I'd help otherwise. Sending cash...

I have a small apartment. You'd have to travel all the way to Massachusetts, pay for your own food and toiletries, sleep on the couch, and put up with me. I guess it would be good as a last, last, last resort. E-mail in my profile, serious inquiries only.

Denise's new pink sweater picture in the SbS rotating gif made me smile...which was needed.

I'm in upstate NY (Ithaca) but we have a quest room. Trying to decide how to make it available.

Ahh, the mindset of rugged independance and libertarianism strikes again.

/flamebait.

Seriously, my family's house is mostly empty, but I'm in Hamilton. If anybody's coming this far I could easily talk my dad into it - he's moving out to Tucson in a month anyways.

I live in the Tampa Bay, FL area. If someone is heading this way and needs shelter, my email is on my profile. Also, my house and yard is animal friendly. We have a huge fenced in back yard (several acres) if you need to bring your dogs / horses along!

Anyone coming to Seattle can stay with me. :) I have a cat though, and he's fiesty, but feel free.

I've got room up here in Ontario Canada but you'll have to:
- watch NHL hockey instead of football
- wear a toque in place of a cowboy hat
- not laugh at our money, accent or the queen

2005-09-22 10:22:22 AM
Probably too far out of the way for anybody to bother, but I'm willing to foot a short-term hotel bill in Massachusetts... long as you ain't one of them filthy illegals.

I didn't bother to read the rest of your mindless rambling, but I can tell from this first part of your post that I like the way you think!

You can always do what my parents did and take a weekend vacation to the hill country. Go rent out a cabin and enjoy the scenery.

2005-09-22 10:22:41 AM
Umm, I think Braeden was joking about people who would post that kind of comment seriously.

2005-09-22 10:22:46 AM
I can't really offer much but if anyone wants to camp up in PA, I have the land and firewood hookups and could probably get you some electric.

2005-09-22 10:22:57 AM
Also would give a room, but in South Africa.....will also send money. Good luck and God Bless all who have to go through this terrible time.
Hang on tight Dorothy, its gonna be one hell of a ride!

Jalapeno: I'm heading your way. I'll call when I get close.

I think you were teasing, but my email is in my profile and I'll glady reply with a phone number.

YOU...yeah, YOU, be careful. What would Texas be like with no Jalapenos?

If my house is still standing after the storm, and yours isn't, and you've found yourself relocated to Victoria, email me. I've got an extra bedroom/bathroom for temporary relocation. Must love animals, especially large birds.

I'd help if I could, but I'm in a one bedroom apartment outside of Philly.

Good luck to Texas Farkers. Stay safe and healthy.

Keeping all my fellow Texans in my thoughts while I'm out here in PHX, AZ. Would offer a spot but it might be taken by sister's in-laws *shudder*.

You guys be safe, heed those warnings, and drive careful.

Oh, and pets are okay, so long as we're talking three or fewer dogs (and, okay, geez, cats).

Austin, Texas, city of lights! Not too far down the road and after the storm passes, you're at least in a cool city!

2005-09-22 10:28:22 AM
Milton, KY. About 45 minutes from Louisville. Small house, cramped, but safe, and lots of farmland to explore and roam.

2005-09-22 10:29:17 AM
I have a room in South Denver. My email is in my profile.
