It depends on the woman, really. Certain women just don't suit miniskirts. It also depends on the woman's sense of style and confidence - a hippy [as in, she has ample hips, not wearing patchouli] broad who flaunts it like she should is more attractive in a mini than the skeleton who has no clue. And style, I should repeat, style! There are certain combinations of clothing involving miniskirts that can kill wood faster than a chainsaw. Really, ladies, please don't wear pants underneath a skirt unless it's salwar kami's. Seriously.

And I have never seen a guy look good in a skirt. They just look weird. Scots and Irishmen in kilts can look great. Japanese men in kimonos look awesome. But most guys in skirts remind me of wimpy university women's studies weirdos.

Guess it depends on your definition of "trousers", whether or not that encompasses all clothing with legs. Some tight-fitting jeans and capri pants are just as sexy as skirts, in my opinion. And I've even seen some dress "trousers" (like with a business suit) that make a woman look incredible.
