I used to drive my wife to work then go to work myself. We decided last week that it would be easier if I took the bus from home so if I was late coming home she wouldn't be stuck waiting for me. Looks like it was a good idea now that gas prices are over $3/gallon around here.

2005-09-04 08:39:22 AM
94.9 pence a litre. Although only two days ago it was 91.9 pence.

2005-09-04 08:40:32 AM
$2.99, Des Moines, IA.

I hope this is just the usual "It's Labor Day weekend, lets fark the customers" thing. Because I'm not too keen on having to gas up with prices like this seeing how I got it earlier this week for $2.59.

$3.49 per gallon yesterday. The prices are going up each day, sometimes twice a day. My brother lives 8 miles away and he said he witnessed three price increases at a single gas station in single day.

By the way I live within a mile and a half of "PWN" (see below) who has a special $2.61 price for the military.

staplermofo: It's free here if you have a garden hose and some mouthwash.

I saw someone doing that exact thing on the way back from the store Friday night and it looked like he was doing it too a lot of cars.

Probably doing them a favor though, these were cars parked at bars.

darkhorse23

On friday I saw the Hess station at 3.19. The Amoco/BP right next to was at 3.29.

The line for the hess station was like 3 or 4 cars deep at every pump. There wasn't a single person at Amoco.

If people are worried about an extra dollar for every 10 cents of gas, they might want to move to a town other than hoboken :)

On the plus side my girlfriend from the city now has a reason to come see me. It really has hit the point where it is cheaper to drive into jersey and fill up even with a 6 dollar toll at the tunnel.
