Of Course! South of the big dipper! It's such an obscure area, no wonder no one has noticed it before!

2005-08-29 06:09:54 PM
i sometimes wonder what if one, just one of these so called "no way, far out, can't happen" sightings is real.
all it will take is one for the floodgates to open.

2005-08-29 06:36:54 PM
No wait, don't tell me...I think I read this in a book or saw it in a movie somewhere. Just can't remember where. Something about a new onramp or something.

Heh.

Is there any free love on the UFO freeway?

2005-08-29 11:35:54 PM
No JerseyTim, only in the UFIA freeway.

2005-08-29 11:55:30 PM
Don't Panic?

He believes these ships are standing guard, literally protecting us from hostile aliens.

They just like to watch us and laugh as we make mistakes.

... I say we send Will Smith up there.

I see a Cosmic Opossum corpse, spinning slowly about its long axis as it drifts through space...

"Myself and thousands of friends have been watching it since 1968," says Anderson. "Motherships come from other worlds to drop off their planetary ships to come to Earth."

and his THOUSANDS of friends? wow, i thought conspiracy theorists usually operated solo?
but yeah, what if, one of these times, one of these claims IS for real?

2005-08-30 12:03:16 AM
Perhaps someone should tell him that you can see some sattelites with the naked eye.

2005-08-30 12:04:58 AM
Ummm.... we already knew about this:

just remember everyone, when you see the big yellow ships, kiss your arse goodbye!

"Anderson has created two Power Point presentations to help interested citizens locate the UFO portal in the night sky. He says he'll email you all the information if you write to him..."

Yeah right. I want this guy for a pen pal!

2005-08-30 12:07:35 AM
"Printer friendly version" yeah, right! that's what they WANT you to think!

Maybe we should head to our local planning department in Alpha Centauri and check out those hyperspatial express route plans...you know, just in case. I've got my towel ready.

Hello. I'm Leonard Nimoy. The following tale of alien encounters is true. And by true, I mean false. It's all lies. But they're entertaining lies. And in the end, isn't that the real truth? The answer is: No.

2005-08-30 12:10:45 AM
Damn teasers...they're quite childish, really.

2005-08-30 12:11:07 AM
The Earth moves all the time. So how is this possible? /its not.

2005-08-30 12:11:16 AM
Annoyance: Not a single comment about vogons?

um I'm pretty sure "big yellow ships" pretty much covers that :).

I never understood something about UFO people. Let's say they're right. Let's say these UFOs really do exist and are not some natural phenomena or optical illusion. The question is: How in the farking hell do these people develop their ASTOUNDINGLY detailed backstories for these UFOs? This guy, for example, claims:

"This is a security force created by some super being organization or civilization."

How the fark do you come to this conclusion by observing red dots in the night sky, given the assumption that there ARE red dots in the night sky that only he and his friends can see.

The problem is, first the freeway, next they are going to need one of those hyperspace bypasses.

2005-08-30 12:16:25 AM
We are not alone......

2005-08-30 12:16:38 AM
On another note, why are conspiracy theorists who spend all their free time on their hobby about as educated in the scientific aspects of their chosen conspiracy area as a 10 year old child? Whether it be the moon hoax guys, the 9/11 structural collapse guys, or any other theorists. Given all the time they devote to their psychosis, don't they ever get the urge to pick up a damn science textbook instead of relying on their uneducated assumptions?

2005-08-30 12:17:00 AM
'Unlikely' is hardly sufficient to describe this.

2005-08-30 12:19:49 AM
I see alot of red dots in the sky, of course I eat alot of acid.

2005-08-30 12:21:51 AM
Poetry ensues.

2005-08-30 12:22:12 AM
Pretty soon we'll be getting emails from the aliens saying that they came here to find help in repatriating $20 million into our bank accounts from a bank customer of theirs who died.

2005-08-30 12:22:45 AM
email sent!

/waits for UFO goodness

and you'd protect your 'munchies' too...

2005-08-30 12:28:08 AM
umm, Vogons?

2005-08-30 12:32:50 AM
This guy and the Prophet Yahweh are revealing the truth, you just have to send 10$ to sign up and find out how..

Anyone remember that guy Riley Martin who would show up on the Howard Stern show?

I pity the fool who believes any of this bullshiat. Not that I don't believe in the possibility of UFO's, hell my Mom, Brother, and Uncle swear to have seen a UFO plain as day, but there are people who are just trying to line their pockets. It's pretty easy to determine these things when you're a homeless pychopath with zero education.

I sometimes wonder what it would take to make most of America realize that G.W. did not legitimately win either election.

"On another note, why are conspiracy theorists who spend all their free time on their hobby about as educated in the scientific aspects of their chosen conspiracy area as a 10 year old child? I suppose the biggest fallacy you could be guilty of would be to lump everyone under the same umbrella. There are tens of religions, and there are many different scientific fields; if anyone were to lump them all together they would sound as stupid as you.

2005-08-30 12:35:08 AM
um, 42 comments, anyone?

If you do not understand the fundamental truths of a particular subject, don't waste your life forming conspiracy theories around it and/or persuading others that you're right and it's the rest of the world that is wrong.
