Dear link submittor:

I take it don't agree with Al Gore? Then you are in the minority, HA HA HAA!! (remember the popular vote?)

2002-04-23 07:57:58 AM
I don't understand why everyone's getting on Gore so much. He has perfectly legitimate views. The Bush Legacy has been enviromentally retarded since Sr. got in office. For example, "That is more modest than the goals sought under the Kyoto agreement, which was adopted by 178 nations last year." 178 countries is pretty much everyone but us.

Oh, and they are probably terrorist huggers as well, can't forget that one.

2002-04-23 08:32:50 AM
Gore criticized Bush for rejecting the international Kyoto agreement on the reduction of greenhouse gases Oh, you mean the same Kyoto agreement that everyone else in the world has rejected?

and for giving too much influence to the interests of the oil and energy business. How dare Bush give influence to an industry that heats our homes, cooks our food, and fuels our cars, trucks, farm tractors, motorcycles, airplanes, and the WHOLE COUNTRY!

Gore is a do nothing LOSER!!

Actually Gore didn't have a majority of popular votes he simply had more (a
scant.51%) than Bush.

>sarcasm< As a nation we clearly made up our mind who we wanted for
President. >/sarcasm<

It is time for Big al bore to go away.

I've never seen a person who can't get over it and go away. It seems to be a problem with everyone in the past administration.

Too bad we can put their advisory label on their mouths to shut them up.

2002-04-23 08:42:52 AM
I never understood how people equate republicans with nazism or hitler. I mean, when you get past the obvious shock value of it, you really have no substance to base your conclusions on. Republicans run on a platform of limiting central government. This is obviously not anything like Nazi Germany. So will you please stop your silly little correlations between the Nazis and whatever and whomever you dont like? Thanks.

2002-04-23 08:48:45 AM
limiting central government.

Bullshiat.

2002-04-23 08:49:39 AM
On the other hand equating democrats with terrorist hugging communists makes perfect sense.

2002-04-23 08:50:07 AM
We need left wing extremist Algore back in office so he can resume communist relations with China! Afterall, who wouldn't want the man who invented the internet running our country? BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA /sarcasm

2002-04-23 08:54:47 AM
Freeper scum.

2002-04-23 09:06:35 AM
Hmmm...so we're assaulting the environment by reducing emissions. How does that work again?

Let's see, according to "environmentalists", we're not supposed to like oil, nor are we supposed to like nuclear energy (a la Bonnie Raitt, only the most educated engineer...no, wait, she's a singer...out there). We're not supposed to like coal, either. Gee, besides natural gas, what have we got left? I suppose we're supposed to heat and cool ourselves by pedaling a bike attached to a generator? Get real.

Solar and wind energy, the only 2 "renewable" sources, besides fusion (which hasn't been done yet), are completely unreliable and inefficient. Until the U.S. public decides that SUVs (that no one really needs) and trucks should go the way of the dodo, we're going to pollute the environment like crazy, so look to yourselves before blaming others.

Also, let me remind some people that conveniently like to forget that the McCain bill that would have raised the average fuel efficiencies for all vehicles was rejected by 19 Democrats, so apparently destroying the environment is not only a job for the Republicans and their "special interest" cronies, but for the Democrats and their cronies, as well.

2002-04-23 09:11:54 AM
Destroying the environment is not only a job for the Republicans and their "special interest" cronies, but for the Democrats and their cronies, as well.

True. But there are just far more Reps doing a far better job at it.

Remember kids, global environmental disaster is always just around the corner!

Well-known singer and environmental activist Bonnie Raitt, who was present at the news conference, asked Americans to put an end to "mobile Chernobyl" and support a petition drive against allowing the federal government to store the nation's nuclear waste near Yucca Mountain in Nevada.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Did you know tha the majority of American colonists did not want a revolutionary war in the 1700s? Sometimes the majority just ain't right.

My $.02... flame away.

I'll remember that in 2004.

I voted for Gore, and I will again if he runs again.

2002-04-23 10:19:09 AM
Yay. This time I remembered my password.

"For example, "That is more modest than the goals sought under the Kyoto agreement, which was adopted by 178 nations last year." 178 countries is pretty much everyone but us."

I think you'd better check on that. At last count I think only two countries actually signed it. Greece and someone else. Japan even turned it down. All of Japan. Even Kyoto. Ha.

2002-04-23 10:31:27 AM
Al Gore, who with Clinton legislated to allow clearcut logging in Alaska.

Al Gore, whose family owns half a million dollars of stock in Occidental Petroleum.

Al Gore, who claimed that it was his idea to use the national oil reserves to cut oil prices and allow increased consumption.

Al Gore, whose family owns a zinc and germanium mine whose processing plant is so polluting that it has been made a federal Superfund cleanup site.

Al Gore, the environmentalist. Yeah, right.

2002-04-23 10:31:33 AM
"I voted for Gore, and I will again if he runs again."

How insightful.
BlockedIP: We don't care. Offer something of substance next time, even if it's just a bunch of swear words strung together.

Pretnar, you ignorant farkwit, go look at the list of signatories of the Kyoto protocol and stop talking out of your ass. Note that dozens have formally ratified it as well.

Also note that although China didn't sign, which the US used as one of the excuses for not signing, China has gone on to cut its CO2 emissions anyway.

2002-04-23 10:39:20 AM
Here's the "unfetchable" link to the list of signatories which FARK threw away:

"Pretnar, you ignorant farkwit, go look at the list of signatories of the Kyoto protocol and stop talking out of your ass."

Whoa! Holy farking shiat dude. Yeah, it does turn out I'm an ignorant farkwit, but you don't have to be such a goddamn cocksucker about it. Jesus Christ, settle down.
Man, where did I get that two countries crap from? For the record, I did say "I think" preceding that statement.

"Also note that although China didn't sign, which the US used as one of the excuses for not signing, China has gone on to cut its CO2 emissions anyway."

Couldn't we also use the fact that not even half the countries have ratified it yet? Including most of Europe?

I never understood how people equate republicans with nazism or hitler.

I never understood how people equate liberals with Communism and the USSR, either.
