Alexandra: Kerry would have run this country into the ground just as well as Bush.

I have more faith in the president than that. Bush is doing a much better job running the country into the ground than Kerry could have.

You guys do know that Bush did better in college than Kerry, right?

WTF could that possibly have to do with anything? I didn't like Kerry either. Besides, not to be an intellectual snob but wasn't his major like business administration or something? That didn't keep him from running two businessess that were handed to him into the ground but all of that is beside the point.

Dear Mr Pwesident:

A Qualified Intermediary (QI) holds funds on behalf of an exchanger for the full 180 days while he seeks replacement property. The relinquished property is transferred to the QI on July 15, 2005. A replacement property is not exchanged and the funds are paid over to the exchanger in January 2006, creating a long term, capital gain tax liability for the exchanger. Is the tax reported on the 2006 return, or on the 2005 return?

Um... So? What you are saying is he made better grades, right? I know plenty of educated people who made decent grades that are idiots. In fact, I think may have just met another...
Besides, where in the hell did Kerry come into this?

/wonders why people think this is always between democrats and republicans...

spamdog: How about the skulls of the thousands of needlessly killed US soldiers?

I guess that sounds a bit...bloodthirsty, really.

Rest assured, when the ziggaraut is built, and it WILL be built, your skull will take its place among the others.

Please do not bother our President with this drivel... He's got to get on with his life, you know?

Dear Pwesident Bush, here r all teh people that died this month so far:

Hmm only around 50 deaths in 24 days of august in the world, and all of them soldiers? I dont know the world monthly birth rates, be we better start killing some more people real quick before there is a huge population spikes.

Oh, you mean only around 50 soldiers died (too lazy to count) in 24 days of war. Well, that doesnt sound too high a casualty list either.

I don't know if i have had enough coffee to read a flame war yet, but, hey, at least there are some pictures.

Exactly. It's like they're in a frat or something. I'm a registered republican and I think Bush is an ass and this war is farked up. Why am I thinking outside party lines? Because I have a brain and won't succumb to herd mentality that's why.

Bush did better in college that Kerry? wow, that's amazing becau......oh, wait. that doesn't matter.

i had a 2.7 in college basically because i was bored, unchallenged and didn't give a crap.

now lots of people who had really good grades at really good school's work for me, i've even had to let a few of them go.

so can we agree that what you did in college doesn't really matter? although it is interesting to note, that, by today's standards, there is no way bush could get into an ivy league school with his high school grades.

MrBelvedere: You guys do know that Bush did better in college than Kerry, right?

Look at the two of them now and tell me which one looks smarter, sounds smarter, acts smarter (bad choice). Kerry lost the electon, but made Bush look like a puppet in the debates. A great deal of the time he sounds like a broken record saying the same thing over and over. He might be smart but what counts is the preception of intellegence. The two times he has held a press conference they have been train wrecks, liberal media asside. Bush sounds like he doesn't know what he is saying, just restating something Karl told him before hand.

He is reading Elmore Leonard rather than Ernest Hemingway, or Norman Mailer. It is like this vacation thing that was going on these last few days. He might be doing work but the preception is that he is on vacation. If you want people to think you are smart then you have to act like it.

\We need a Ph.D. in the White House.

I see you had to fly halfway 'cross the country to make a comment about Sheehan. Wouldn't it have been easier to have just walked down the road and met her in person. And you still have not answered her question.

UFIA Master said,

"start them as pussies now, they end up being tree hugging liberals later. Just what we need."

Because we all know that trees are bad!

I was wondering, is it possible for you to admit that there might be some - any - validity in anyone's opinion other than the ones you take as your own from AM talk radio?

2005-08-24 09:45:42 AM
And by the way mizike, thanks for reminding him about soldiers that have died this month. I'm sure he hasn't heard at all. Nope, not one single military or administrative person has told him about them at all. Hell, he doesn't even know we've lost anyone yet! SHHHH!

Mugato

I'm a recovering Republican. :)

Funny thing--I used to vote Democrat because my parents did (worst reason ever) and later on because I was in a union...and I never knew what Dems were supposed to be about until around 2002 or so (I'm not a feminist/tree-hugger/whatever). I did vote for Gore in 2000. If I knew then what I know now I would have voted Taxpayers' Party (now Constitution Party) in 2000.

Then I voted Constitution Party in '04. So I never voted for Bush. :D

Mugato - there should be more people like you in this country. people who believe in the basic philosophies of a specific party, but at the same time will questions thing when they get out of whack. and also people who have not, in their heads, swown allegiance to a party not matter what happens.

we need more american like you, who use their brains instead of letting shawn hannity do their thinking for them.

Every political thread I see it's the same thing.

On one side you have the left being politely farked up the arse with a studded dildo doggy style. On the other side you have the right enjoying the same ministrations, also doggy style.

Each one is facing each other, but never turning around to see who is farking them in the arse.

This shouldn't be a left vs right anymore... it's about your Country and what our 'elected' officials are doing to rape it into the ground at their benefit and your expense.

Viva la revolucion indeed.

I know some utterly retarded individuals who graduated college. How, I will never know. Maybe an athletic scholarship, giving the Dean a blow-job, something. They can't spell or even write a coherent sentence worth a damn. College means nothing.

I never claimed to be uber-patriotic, and while I do appreciate the efforts of the armed forces, they signed up for this job. Its not like they were hired at mcdoanlds and then shipped out, the risk of being killed is kind of inherint in entering the armed forces.

Furthermore, mindless flag waving shouldnt prevent us from making analytical deductions and comparisons of the situation. More people died in 5 minutes of normandy than a month of this war. And the only point of entering the European front of WW2 was to make sure the soviet union didnt get control of all of Europe - just like this, it was gasp politics.

None so blind as those who will not see, huh? I almost believed that tripe myself--that Saddam had a hand in 9/11. Almost.

My husband thinks we invaded Iraq because Saddam wouldn't play ball or something. But we do agree that the war is completely wrong.

My husband's brother has a stepson in Iraq. He should be coming home soon, and we hope he's in one piece!

Hmmm... How many soldiers' funerals or memorial services has Bush been to?
None.
Is Donald Rumsfield still rubber stamping his signature onto the condolence letters to next of kin of soldiers?
Yes.

Every other administration has recognized that service needs to be repayed with service. Reagan attended funerals. Carter attended funerals. Bush the first, and Clinton both attended funerals.
Bush the second however, cut veteran's benefits.

Dear Mr Bush - whether you support the war or not, your actions have divided our country in two and you don't seem to be interested in fixing the problem. Surely, as President, you want to see both sides come together and live in peace, rather than argue louder and louder? Do you think that those that don't agree with you will change their minds eventually? Because I tried that with my Mom when she said i couldn't have a pet lion, but she hasn't changed her mind yet - in fact, she seems to be more against it each time I ask her. What do you think will happen, Mr President? I'm sick of all the arguing and the shouting.

Sincerely,

Cletus J. Wildebeest Jr, aged 4 and a half
