Funny thing I remember from living in Austin... had tickets to many of the AA games in Round Rock the first 3 years they had a team. Their mascot was a "dog" in a train engineer suit. With a stubby brown tail sticking out of the back of his striped overalls. At least, the tail was there the first week or two of that first season. More than a little alarmed, my first reaction was along the lines of "Is that a turd popping out of your ass, or are you just happy to be here?" Apparently management came to the same conclusion I did and the tail was soon no longer part of Spike's get-up.
