Thompson doesn't seem to care. He cites a cheat code that can remove the blur which covers nudity. "The nudity placed there by the publisher/maker, Electronic Arts, is accessed by the use of a simple code that removes what is called "the blur" which obscures the genital areas. About two weeks from now, when The Sims 2 gets downrated to 'AO', is when everyone who argued that the 'slippery slope' was just paranoia will eat their hats.

I'm not terribly optimistic about this. Mention 'pedophile' and you get a good news story. News stories will include less and less real information (unlike this one) and thus will rile people up - who, just like with everything else, will rant and rave without knowing what's going on.

1) Jeebus, where has Hillary been all this time ? In GTA: Vice City, one of the character's name was Candy Suxx, and one mission was to turn on a spotlight to project boobies onto the side of a building !!!

I am a parent of 2 small children and i am sick to DEATH of hearing polititians tell me that video games with boobies in them are going to ruin my kids. My kids saw boobies every couple of hours up close and personal. Last I checked they are normal.

I am also Sick of hearing about how I am aparently to stupid to protect my own children, so the government had better do it for me. I am perfectly capable of taking care of my kids.

Here is an idea. Have the government mandate classes for all the namby pamby toutchy feely parents so the can learn how to say NO!!! I don't give a crap if my son (almost 7) throws himself on the floor at Target, he damn well isn't getting any video game I haven't played through first!
