karl rove is evil.

2005-07-18 06:48:50 PM
The NRA invited her to speak there?

Thats odd.

Oh a civil rights group.

Damn her.

Well I am going to keep no opinion on this until she is convicted for it.

2005-07-18 06:50:04 PM
Oh a civil rights group

Right. La Raza is a 'civil rights' group like the KKK is a 'cultural heritage' organization...

2005-07-18 06:50:08 PM
Well, it wasn't a racist organization, and she didn't advocate breaking US laws, but other than that your headline is right on the money.

2005-07-18 06:52:55 PM
La raza a civil rights group?

like..

oh nevermind, Weaver95 got to it already.

she's such a shifty koontz.

2005-07-18 06:53:18 PM
So its the Hispanic NAACP?

Ive never actually heard of them before. But my knowledge of Hispanics ends at Erik Estrada

2005-07-18 06:54:38 PM
I don't see anything in that link about breaking the law...

2005-07-18 06:55:16 PM
jqfarker: But my knowledge of Hispanics ends at Erik Estrada

Mine ends with Charlton Heston in Touch of Evil...

2005-07-18 06:55:54 PM
Well, it wasn't a racist organization...

This is a group who's slogan is 'for those outside The Race, nothing'.

Hmm, gee - if a group of white guys stood up and said 'anyone who ain't white gets nothing', what do you think we'd call them....?

Think hard now. I'll come back later and see if you've got an answer.

2005-07-18 06:56:00 PM
Begin the cockpunches.

Because an educated illegal immigrant is more of a drain on the overall economy than an illegal migrant worker?

2005-07-18 06:58:30 PM
illegal immigrant

educated or not is illegal.

I guess I'll just go around shooting anyone I don't like cos hey, we don't have to follow the law anymore.

2005-07-18 06:58:43 PM
This is a group who's slogan is 'for those outside The Race, nothing'.
I call B.S. The slogan on their website is "Making a Difference for Hispanic Americans".

2005-07-18 06:59:51 PM
Think hard now. I'll come back later and see if you've got an answer.

Well I would really like to oblige you, unfortunately as I just said, I have never heard of them until now, so I dont know what I can really say.

GO PATS!

Is that ok?

2005-07-18 07:02:19 PM
The slogan on their website is "Making a Difference for Hispanic Americans".

No, thier sloga is : Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.. Translated that means 'Everything for the Race - Nothing outside the Race'. 'La Raza' is spanish for 'The Race'. If a bunch of white guys got up and starting talking about 'the race' and pointing at themselves, what would we call them? Try hard, think it thru....

answer in a few moments....

I call B.S. The slogan on their website is "Making a Difference for Hispanic Americans".

It's all the same to Weaver95.

2005-07-18 07:04:07 PM
No, thier sloga is : Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada..

I don't believe you.

2005-07-18 07:04:41 PM
Alberto Gonzales is a member of La Raza. Go spin that, you two.

I call B.S. The slogan on their website is "Making a Difference for Hispanic Americans".

You would be very wise to call bullshiat.

2005-07-18 07:04:57 PM
"La Raza" isn't used colloquially to mean "the race." It's more of a term for your "people," or those close to you.

2005-07-18 07:05:01 PM
I don't believe you.

That's your problem, not mine. La Raza is basically the hispanic version of the KKK.

2005-07-18 07:05:08 PM
Weaver95 is correct.

2005-07-18 07:05:14 PM
tbyte: I don't believe you.

I can second this, at my undergraduate university that was definitely their slogan. I remember it cause they would chant it during election results whenever anyone from their organization won a seat on the student council.

2005-07-18 07:06:16 PM
It's more of a term for your "people," or those close to you.

And if a bunch of white guys got up and started talking about 'our people' and pushing for a seperate state JUST for 'our people' what might we call them, hmmm?

2005-07-18 07:06:29 PM
No, he isn't.

He is confusing Hispanic-related organizations. Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

2005-07-18 07:07:50 PM
karion
He is confusing Hispanic-related organizations. Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

I'M SHOCKED!

2005-07-18 07:08:04 PM
karion:

He is confusing Hispanic-related organizations. Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

Errr... I take my earlier post back, it might have been Mecha that was claiming that.

2005-07-18 07:08:17 PM
Weazer, are you the submitter? I don't understand the headline at all. I googled around and can't find anything supporting what you're saying.

2005-07-18 07:08:25 PM
God knows why you guys have trouble reaching out to minorities.

2005-07-18 07:08:51 PM
You mean all those organizations of spanish speaking people aren't the same? They all look alike to Weaver95

2005-07-18 07:09:13 PM
karion:

He is confusing Hispanic-related organizations. Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

I guess they all look alike to him.

2005-07-18 07:09:19 PM
Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

Mecha is a branch of La Raza, kinda like how the Ayran Nation is an offshoot of the KKK. Same root organization, but La Raza has a slightly better PR officer than the white power groups. That and too many people think only white people can be racist and let asinine groups like Mecha and La Raza get away with things that a white power group would be sued off the planet for....

2005-07-18 07:09:34 PM
Yeah, I'll wait patiently for their unqualified retractions and apologies for spewing falsehoods without doing even a sliver of research.

I expected more out of you, Weaver. The other one doesn't surprise me.

2005-07-18 07:09:54 PM
Weaver95:

"And if a bunch of white guys got up and started talking about 'our people' and pushing for a seperate state JUST for 'our people' what might we call them, hmmm?"

Christian fundamentalists?

2005-07-18 07:10:15 PM
You know something, you're both right.

Who is MEcha?

2005-07-18 07:10:42 PM
Where to begin? La Raza is akin to the KKK? You are nuts. It is probably the most prominant and active civil rights organization out there for the Latino community. And as far as advocating breaking the law? Try again idiot. She was supporting a piece of legislation. Legislation makes law. It's different.

2005-07-18 07:11:10 PM
You are full of shiat and you know it. Serious loss of credibility points. You are completely full of shiat.

I'll make sure to note your objection to the group when Alberto Gonzales is nominated to the Supreme Court.

2005-07-18 07:11:14 PM
Curses. Foiled by MorrisBird again!

2005-07-18 07:11:15 PM
You mean all those organizations of spanish speaking people aren't the same?

a racist organization is a racist organization. Mecha, La Raza, Ayran Nation, KKK....all the same type of mindset.

Read their literature for yourself some time if you don't believe me. They slide some interesting things into the spanish only websites too. Worth taking the time to translate it.

2005-07-18 07:11:59 PM
"La Raza" (The Race) is a broad term which refers to those whose ancestry is indigenous to the area of Mexico (or "Aztlan"). MEChA members refer to themselves as "La Raza" or "Raza," but the term itself is used to indicate camaraderie among those in different organizations with the same objectives. There are a number of organizations who consider themselves to be La Raza.

So maybe you holier than thou types in this thread should give the guy a break and realize you're the ones that are wrong.

2005-07-18 07:13:18 PM
You are full of shiat and you know it. Serious loss of credibility points. You are completely full of shiat.

Sorry to burst your bubble and point out your double standard - but these guys are racist bastards. What would YOU call a bunch of guys who talked about racial superiority all time? I'd call 'em racists.

2005-07-18 07:14:20 PM
Weaver95: a racist organization is a racist organization.

Then I would expect you guys to vehemently oppose Gonzales should he be nominated for the SC if what karion is true.

2005-07-18 07:14:51 PM
You are INSANE! NCLR. Tell me where they promote anything racist.

2005-07-18 07:15:10 PM
Check your source, AttackBeta, or at least read the rest of the site. This guy's a long-time nutjob, and those attacks on Villagarosa were dismissed as BS four years ago when he ran the first time. Shenannigans, friend.

2005-07-18 07:16:08 PM
Then I would expect you guys to vehemently oppose Gonzales should he be nominated for the SC if what karion is true.

Depends now don't it?

Is he part of the highly respected action organization, or is he part of the mechaistas who refer to themselves as la raza and blur the lines to the detriment of everyone?

2005-07-18 07:16:41 PM
Mecha is a branch of La Raza,

not that i can find.

i've found no on-line links between the two groups and several sites sympathetic to Mecha which deride La Raza as government/corporate controlled stooges whose true agendae are not those of a free Azatlan and free Chicano people.

link? cite?

2005-07-18 07:17:26 PM
Then I would expect you guys to vehemently oppose Gonzales should he be nominated for the SC if what karion is true.

I've never liked the guy since he never repudiated his membership with La Raza. At least other former public members of the KKK later said they regretted being part of the organization.

2005-07-18 07:17:41 PM
I am unsurprised to discover that your reading comprehension skills have failed you.

Absolutely nothing in that link affiliates the two groups. Nothing.

Completely disingenuous -- you can't even understand your own *(whackadoo) source. Unreal.

Weaver, you make wholly unsubstantiated claims and cannot even admit when you're wrong. Here, you claimed the organization at issue had a slogan that they absolutely do NOT. You then posited that they were somehow the same or otherwise affiliated. Not true.

Unreal.

2005-07-18 07:18:17 PM
The serve -- Weaver95: This is a group who's slogan is 'for those outside The Race, nothing'.

The return -- karion: He is confusing Hispanic-related organizations. Mecha is the organization with that particular slogan.

The backpeddling -- Weaver95: a racist organization is a racist organization. Mecha, La Raza, Ayran Nation, KKK....all the same type of mindset.

Is this another thread where Weaver makes a fool of himself and then runs? I think so!

2005-07-18 07:18:21 PM
I've never liked the guy since he never repudiated his membership with La Raza. At least other former public members of the KKK later said they regretted being part of the organization.

You should seriously stop making this comparison. It is just making you look stupid.

2005-07-18 07:18:21 PM
jimmyhaha I did a quick google on it. There was more

Wiki

Notice the la raza thing.

It's old news for some of us. I've read up on them a bit and I don't like what I see.
