When it came to unattractive or "brutto" sunbathers, most of those surveyed in the country that champions physical beauty said they didn't object to seeing them naked either.

I wonder how this survey would turn out if they only asked Fark boobie link aficionados. If they don't like pointy knees, how would they feel about "unsightly bottoms"?

Nudism is like being a gynecologist. Sure, you get to see lots of 'tang, but more often than not, it's of the sort you'd rather not see if you could help it.

That said, for the vast majority, nudism isn't really about oogling others, or putting yourself out there to be oogled. I'd go to a nude beach in a heartbeat if there were one nearby, and I've considered going to one of the local nudist clubs/resorts if it weren't for the cost and my wife not being the least bit interested.

I have no issue with nudity as well, but as Nuttier said, the family nudist resorts. I don't know. If a streaker ran by while my boys were with me, that would be one thing, and all three of us would be laughing. But to have them surrounded by nude people, some of them could be perverts. Too risky in my book.

Sorry. I dont like nudity, minus internet porn. I can barely stand it when I am without socks. I dont find the human body all that attractive. Plus wearing clothes is more hygienic. Not a prude, just dont want to hang around naked or with naked people. God invented the Banana Republic for a reason

In other news, articles like this make me happy. I really wish the rest of the world could share this European mentality when it comes to nudity. I can't imagine how something as natural and beautiful as the human body can be considered shameful and disgusting....and that showing it could be considered against the law.

My husband and I got in a fight yesterday...he was upset because the tanktop I was wearing fell too far down and he could see my nipples. He told me that he, unlike me, recognizes that in America nudity is considered inappropriate and that he doesn't want me showing parts of my breasts because he doesn't want me to a.) offend someone (which I consider unlikely) or b.) turn someone on (which, while very possible, isn't a good enough reason for me to feel like I need to maintain an absurd level of modesty.)

Every time I've been out skinny dipping with groups, if something comes up you just learn to turn away, hang out in the water, or sit with your knees up by your chest for a while while the embarassing moment passes.

It would be impolite to point and laugh, so if you don't make a big deal about it, most other people won't either.

It's a natural thing that happens. Rolling over would work fine too. If everyone got over their stigmatism it woudln't be a big ordeal.

you got me all wrong. most american women have really bad body images when its not at all warranted. i'm just saying that if they got a look at some of real messes out there, they'd feel better about their own bodies.

And what is so wrong about getting aroused in the first place? It's perfectly natural and perfectly healthy. I get aroused by lots of things throughout the day and I don't feel the need to be ashamed of it. I dunno, I never get upset or disgusted by other people exercising their sexuality, so long as they aren't being overt or offensive.
