Very nice how they organized it by character, but it's not quite complete. Oh well, very nice if you want to make your own non-sucky Office Space sound board.

That movie is soo funny. Hard to imagine that it came from the same man who made Beavis and Butthead.... Not that I didnt enjoy those dumbasses too, but they are completly different.

"Yea it was a fine name till that no talent ass clown came along and started winning Grammys!"

Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man, two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I had a million dollars I could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well the kind of chicks that'd double up on me do.
Peter Gibbons: Good point.
Lawrence: What about you, what would you do?
Peter Gibbons: Besides two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Well yeah.
Peter Gibbons: Nothing.
Lawrence: Nothing, huh?
Peter Gibbons: I'd relax, sit on my ass all day, I would do nothing.
Lawrence: Well you don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Just take a look at my cousin, he's broke, don't do shiat.

Just a couple of Lumburgh soundbites is all I need. The guy reminds me of my boss, and I take pleasure in laughing my ass off at both of them.

Bob: Looks like you've been missing quite a bit of work lately.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I wouldn't say I've been MISSING it, Bob.

This is a hilarious film and it is a shame that it is butchered like many films when it is shown on cable.

I was lucky enough to catch the uncensored version on Showtime once, I laughed for three hours straight afterwards.

2002-04-13 03:26:07 AM
Seriously...anyone who was afraid to see this movie because it came from the mind of the beavis and butthead guy....see it. Many of my favorite movie quotes come from this movie, I would almost even say enough to rival big lebowski. Bottom line: not a bad flick at all.

Shouldn't this have been posted during the week?

Greenbeetle: Ahh, best film to ever come out of Austin.

I'd agree, but I became a fan of Richard Linklater's "SubUrbia", too, and would put that in 2nd place. When the hell's that coming out on DVD? I may be the only one asking that question.

In fact, the Samir dude is in both flicks, he plays the convenience store owner in SubUrbia. And damn, his wife in that was kinda hot.

Hytes, rent Office Space and thank us later.

Hey Buufoo, what is the URL that you used to test your bandwidth?

2002-04-13 06:58:43 AM
Buufoo:

Aprox 500Kbps before, 2593Kbps with the registry tweak with insight broadband (cable) from the site, . It seems I'm now in your debt.

Lia:

The file named, "sguide_default_2k.zip" (the last file on the same page) will restore your default settings.

Excellent movie, btw.

I work at Initech. No really, I do. I'm there right now. My boss suckered me into coming in for a Saturday shift. Remind me to kick him in the nuts next time I see him.

Office Space is one of the most overrated movies I have ever seen. (Space Balls and anything by Kevin Smith are also among the most overrated. I am a traitor to my generation.) I love Gary Cole, but he couldn't save this one.

2002-04-13 10:50:08 AM
Office Space is one of the most underrated movies I have ever seen. Inside this little comedy is something that speaks deeply to anyone who's ever worked in an office. I imagine it was green-lighted because of the success of "Dilbert" and a bunch of movie execs who didn't know what they were gonna get. It's something that makes people laugh, not because somebody jizzed in a cup of beer (although I don't mind that kind of funny) but because it SPEAKS to people. It gets so many of the little details right. You just know that Mike Judge (dir.; Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill) had to have spent time in a place like this.

People spend half their lives getting yanked around in offices like this, with moron bosses with Boxsters who have deep disrespect for their employees. If not, they're getting yanked around by morons who want them to wear "flair" at any of the hundreds of identical T.J. McPickleshiatters. In any case, people get their humanity ripped right out of them, until they feel damn lucky if they get a settlement for spending the rest of their lives immobilzed with a head halo in a wheelchair.

2002-04-13 01:26:50 PM
I don't like Mike Judge much.

I didn't like office space at all the first time I saw it.

Now it's practically my religion. It holds a lot of truth, and a realistic look at life. Someday, I'll grow the balls to quit my job, and go do something I actually enjoy.

well i dig that farkin' site, but could they make the tiny, light grey text any harder to read? please?

Does anyone know where I can download the Initech logo?

A great bg image for my laptop ...
