Hmmmm. I'll be passing thru around the 10th, C'mon over to Germany, Drew. The beers better. Edelstoff's recipe according to local legend, was a gift directly from god. You can't argue with someone about beer that god gave you the recipe for. I've tried.

I'm sorry, TAFL, Babar is dead. His son Labar is the sole heir of the Elephant fortune and he's currently spending it all on Thai hookers and blow.

Email Webvoodoo... He lives there.

I used to live in Paris. My wife and I really miss it.

There is a great sushi restaurant called Lo Sushi. It is on Rue de Berri, just off the Champs Elysees. I think it is Rue de Berri 8, but if it isn't #8, it is right next door. There is also a nice Irish pub right next to Lo Sushi.

Have a good time.

2005-06-29 11:42:17 AM

2005-06-29 11:46:35 AM
Why don't you come to Canada? If you really must be around snooty French people with faded delusions of past grandeur, just pop over to Quebec.

2005-06-29 11:50:57 AM
Je suis jaloux

You're going to miss Bastille Day on the 14th. I've heard the fireworks in Paris on Bastille Day are phenomenal. Like DC on the 4th.

2005-06-29 12:24:53 PM
Awww nooo.

I'm on holiday in the States from the 8th

I'm working on the 6th and 7th (nights) but could be around for a quick beer in the early evening before I start work and drive to Brussels (say 5-7pm).

2005-06-29 12:29:41 PM
On a related note, I was convinced that I when I organised the Paris Fark Party when I got back from holiday then I would be absolutely guaranteed a greenlight.

Then someone beats me to it. Curses.

Also plaggy_monkey lives in Paris.

2005-06-29 02:58:23 PM
geez, they will greenlight ANYTHING wont they?

\wouldn't touch France with a 10' cattle-prod

2005-06-29 03:24:41 PM

i had a blast at the House of Rock llast year when I was there. We even got people dancing on tables, which I dont think they (the management) were to happy with, but they never told us to stop.

eddie929,

What's this Drew? No "France Surrenders" reference?

I'm sure it wasn't Drew that actually typed that message, it was some new lackey that doesn't know all the ins and outs of Fark yet. Drew is much too busy to be typing messages at fark.

2005-06-30 05:13:16 AM

2005-06-30 05:24:17 AM
Does France HAVE beer? I thought the winemakers had that outlawed years ago.

2005-06-30 05:27:20 AM
I'll be surprised if there are any French farkers after the avalanche of abuse France gets here on a daily basis.

2005-06-30 05:27:34 AM
Paris? Damn. I'll be there in a couple weeks. Why don't you hop a flight up to Amsterdam instead and meet me for some, er, coffee.

2005-06-30 05:34:14 AM
Went skiing/snowboarding for a week in France in April. Got to the cabin and the previous guests had left behind about 30 Kronenbourgs, sitting nicely chilled on the balcony. Awesome.

"la meme, s'il vous plait"

2005-06-30 05:47:40 AM
Hit up one of the various "Frog &" brewpubs in the city. The beer is, well...better than Kronenbourg, but that's not saying much...it's a good expat hangout.

Or Le Sous-Bock maybe.

2005-06-30 05:47:50 AM
I bow.

Thanks for a great website.

Enjoy Paris.

/will put on Gershwin's American in Paris for you

2005-06-30 06:07:14 AM
I don't know how you can stand it, Fragzav. The ignorance and malice displayed by a minority of idiots here is depressing.
