The label was on textbooks in Georgia...

But still... sigh. Maybe it'd be a little nicer if the textbooks themselves said "The most popular theory regarding the development of life on Earth is blah blah blah" and then presented the case for evolution, but... I don't know. Stupid pandering.

Now now elchip, let's not go off topic. This thread isn't about evolution. It's about burning in hell for all eternity for killing God's holy sperm.

Birth control for men would solve SO many problems...

I can't think of one it would solve.

You're right, of course, but what silly thing was Kansas doing lately that got them in the news? I could have sworn they were involved in some sort of church/state silliness in the recent past...

Give it to us in a patch. Or put it in our beer.

/try refreshing new Prophylactic beer! Now with spermicide and 7% alcohol!

Scientists in Florida are working on a male "morning after" birth control pill.

Didn't they mandate that evolution be taught alongside creationism, or in place of creationism, or eliminate evolution from text, or something?

Everytime I see the word "Kansas" in a headline a small *shudder* passes through my body.

Genius! Call Merck or Pfizer now!

I'm all for a male birth control pill, but I don't think I would trust my husband to take it. Hell, he can't even remember to take out the trash once a week.

I can't remember, and I'm too apathetic to look it up. One of the liters will fill us in, I'm sure. I just used the 'label' joke because it made a good headline, and seemed appropriate.

EDIT: Kansas puts evolution on trial. (pops) That's the story I'm thinking of.

Would you guys out there take it or would you be nervous that it would permanently fark up your boys?

I just don't want my period getting all screwed up.

I'd take it. When I was in high school the girls on birth control were always so popular. I can only assume the same thing would apply to me now.

If by 'fark up' you mean 'permanent foolproof chemical vasectomy', I would be on my way to fill a prescription.

Eureaka! After 10 years in the lab I have perfected male birth control! Watson come quick and try some Star Jones in capsule form!

That's the reason I say not in a pill. To have to remember to take a pill everyday at the same time... yeah right.

missmez:

I'd take it. My brother has a kid because his (now ex) gf forgot to take her pill one day.

I hate to double-post but I have another idea.

Go with the patch idea but allow different tattoo like images on the patch (particularly sports team logos). Then guys will go for it.

Now, now. Let's not make fun of them too much. They made decide to repeal the law of gravity next if we keep it up.

There's got to be a marriage joke out there somewhere.....but that's just about sex.

2005-06-22 04:35:57 PM
I'm totally getting into this when it comes out. You can never have too much protection against gold diggin' hos.

2005-06-22 04:36:14 PM
Birth cannot be controlled,
but rather guided in the proper direction.

2005-06-22 04:36:36 PM
Male birth control pill, huh?? Does it work by changing your blood type enough to beat a paternity test??

2005-06-22 04:36:58 PM
My wife eating tons of cheesecake and twinkees works pretty well too....

2005-06-22 04:37:17 PM
Thanks, Buddha04..
Now my balls have retreated fully into my torso. Jerk.
I'd go back to that Cariaga thread, but it wouldn't help.

What? A pill that prevents you from giving birth to men? But I LIKE men! Oh wait... oh I see......nevermind.

2005-06-22 04:39:18 PM
About damned time. I will be sure to get on this as soon as it comes out.

2005-06-22 04:40:28 PM
I thought birth control for men was called sober women?

2005-06-22 04:40:41 PM
Stop being a wimp and just get the damn vasectomy. Very few of us should even be procreating in the first place.

That direction being into the trash can of a highschool bathroom.

In a second.

Bah, I would mispell "deity". I do wish the came out with a "vasectomy-in-a-pill", damn breeders.

missmez:

I'd gladly take it. That's partially because I'm actually a nice guy, and it's not fair that a girl should be taking birth control, filling her body with teh crazy chemikals, while I just smile, and get some sex.

Besides, I suspect that it would be possible to come up with male birth control that had fewer side effects than female birth control. I'm no doctor, but if I'm right, then more the reason.

Of course, most guys are asses.

2005-06-22 04:41:49 PM
I would never trust my fiance to remember to take a pill every day. I'll stick to taking the pill myself thanks. :)

I'm pretty sure the only failsafe birth control for men is called "pulling out."

TommyymmoT: Scientists in Florida are working on a male "morning after" birth control pill.

Best post I've seen all day!! Reminds me of the blond joke --

Q: What did the blond say to the doctor when he told she was pregnant?

A: "Oh my god! Is it mine?!"

2005-06-22 04:43:03 PM
They also hope to find something that is close to 100 percent effective and has no risky side effects.

And here I am hoping to find something that's 40% effective and has many risky side effects. How foolish of me!

Now now, RallionNovia, sucking up to the ladies here isn't going to do you any good, male birth control in hand or not...

2005-06-22 04:43:43 PM
FINALLY!
