I wonder if President Bush will be going to Cambodia also, you know like John Kerry did?

2005-06-22 10:29:09 AM
By next year, Bush and his junta will be on the run from American and International justice officials who finally figure it out. (Illegal warmongering, complicit in 9/11 massacre, massive theft of treasury, etc.)

Maybe Vietnam will give him safe haven and non-extradition.

I believe they will welcome us as liberators.

2005-06-22 10:30:35 AM
What's the problem? Engagement is a far better way to smooth things out in the world. Vietnam is still sorta crazy, but we'll do more good for the both of us through direct dialog. Sheesh, Bu$h could turn Coke to Pepsi and you'd biatch.

MisterE:
He should take John Kerry with him.
That way Kerry could get another purple heart for the jet lag.

Clavis:

Yet another strange behavior pattern of the Common Neocon (republicanus nincompoopus) is his insistence that politics is actually a sporting event. Instead of recognizing that 51% of the 50% of the people who voted, voted for Bush, means that the country is deeply divided, and requires a uniter (not a divider), the Common Neocon exaults in his vicarious triumph. "In your face!", he shouts, as though his team just won the Superbowl. "Bush won the election! Game over! Losers quit whining!" The fact that the country still needs to function and overcome many obstacles seems to have escaped the Common Neocon. The appeal of schaudenfreude and the insecurity that comes with an inconsistent and self-serving ideology trump any civic ideals. Human dignity and mutual respect fall victim to schoolyard competitiveness and childish spite.

Sadly, this species is flourishing throughout the United States, particularly the South, where an environment of warm, damp, dark places provides fertile ground for the growth of this chattering pest.

James Wolcott is that you?

"Leftie"? Wow, that hurts.

Fine, never mind Kerry. Ask John McCain and Max Cleland how much respect the Bush campaign machine has for veterans, dingleberry.

I imagine W lying on the Lincoln-bedroom bed in a post-JeffGannon-coital haze, staring at the ceiling fan while Jim Morrison ironically singing along with Jim Morrison:

"The west is the best
The west is the best
Get over there, and we'll do the rest

The short bus is callin' us
The short bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his cowboy boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother Jeb, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...I want to...fark you

C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the short bus
Doin' a crack rock
On a short bus
Doin' a crack rock
C'mon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

support our troops - bring 'em home.

And then investigate why they were sent there in the first place.

/actually, I support the troops to come back, but it would be inhumane to leave iraq in it's present state, therefore, troops must remain there.
//and keep dying...

Perhaps if he flies over North Korea on the way over, he'll be able to look down and see what some for-real WMDs look like.

Perhaps McCain can give him a personal tour.
Show him the hell hole he had to live in while Dubya, Cheney, Rush... were state side.

i woudn't actually say i was IN the air national guard. i just hung out with those guys until things got scary.

Not relevant. Rush has been feeding you the wrong talking points.

Not relevant? If it wasn't relevant, you wouldn't be trying to label me as a ditto head.

It's not my fault you had a sad candidate last year. Buck up buddy, you'll get another shot in a few short years. I suggest you help prepare a message other than "you listen to Rush" in order to win more votes next time.

Wow, it's a good thing we haven't lost sight of the importance of mutually respectful dialogue. After all, polarizing rhetoric and caricaturing the other side as foolish, wrongheaded and malicious would only hurt America as a whole.

James Wolcott is that you?

You can call me "James Wolcott" if you like. Actually, I'm someone who thinks rationally, and who dislikes political manipulation based on fear, hatred and ignorance... and who lives inside a shoebox and eats cobwebs and dust bunnies.
