2002-04-09 04:31:45 PM
If God didn't want us to drink bottled water he wouldn't have invented 7 - 11.

Be sure to check out the Netscape story on Ricci on TotalFark.... 98 LBS! Geez... why?

2002-04-09 04:35:51 PM
Bottled water tastes MUCH better than the tap, that's for sure.

2002-04-09 04:36:25 PM
Hmm...spring water? A guy in Seattle a few years ago was making a killing selling spring water. Turns out, he got caught filling the jugs from a hose connected to city water.
Stupid clown shoulda locked the door.

2002-04-09 04:36:36 PM
You people act like water should be free or something.

2002-04-09 04:37:05 PM
Dammit, RobbieFal beat me to the Dr. Strangelove lines.

2002-04-09 04:37:08 PM
Tap water is better, except in LA.

2002-04-09 04:37:08 PM
Didn't they run this story the same day they ran the "erotic Afghani water" piece? Would you like your story choices with or without carbonation?

2002-04-09 04:37:15 PM
mmmmm fecal matter

2002-04-09 04:37:45 PM
Anyone who says bottled water is a rip off has never traveled in a 3rd world country. When you do, you will realize that bottled water is the greatest invention ever. I have gotten sick drinking local water in other countries, but never gotten sick from bottled water. So I doubt the feces claim in this article. After all, it is Cosmiverse.

2002-04-09 04:38:16 PM
They tested European brands of water not the ones sold here in the states. OF COURSE European's put feces in their water. They are dirty, nasty, sacks of human garbage.

2002-04-09 04:38:17 PM
POE RobbieFal!

2002-04-09 04:38:19 PM
They'd have to shiat in it to make bottled water worse than tap water in LA. Anything less than that is an improvement.

2002-04-09 04:38:54 PM
Remember, this is in Europe, and there are certain cultural differences with regards to standards of hygene. In France, the women don't shave their legs or under their arms, most don't use deodorant, and taking a big swig of bottled raw sewage is just not considered unsanitary.

2002-04-09 04:39:12 PM
word up stunt cock. taste is worth the buck fifty.

Rat
2002-04-09 04:40:33 PM
growing up, I worked at a grocery store...once every three or four months the manager (I'll call him Edwin) would have us move the 'spring water' machine to clean behind it...

but first, we had to unplug its hose from the city water tap

I'm in the wrong business, folks

2002-04-09 04:40:37 PM
The bottled water choice dilemma can be solved with the choice of B-E-E-R!

2002-04-09 04:40:51 PM
Wedge: Well tole.

2002-04-09 04:40:55 PM
excellent point CaptStubing - bottled water is bottled gold in Bombay, India - unfortunately you can't bathe in it, so the next best thing is to constantly exhale while under the shower head...

2002-04-09 04:41:30 PM
I too believe in preserving our precious bodily fluids.

BTW, did you know that a very young James Earl Jones is in Dr. Strangelove. He is on the plane crew and has a few lines.

2002-04-09 04:42:12 PM
Perhaps there's a moneymaking opportunity here; I could be selling my bottled feces to europeans over the internet.

Where'd I put that old bottlecapper from my homebrewing days?

2002-04-09 04:42:30 PM
It's all a matter of style. People who drink tap water tend to be sippers. People who pay good money for water are suckers.

2002-04-09 04:43:12 PM
I think people would just pay for the filtration Rat, unless they're advertising that stuff as "from a spring", in which case, that's total fraud.

2002-04-09 04:44:35 PM

2002-04-09 04:44:52 PM
What crap "journalism" that was. Findings declared as fact in the beginning, with testing procedures drawn into serious question at the end.

2002-04-09 04:47:11 PM
I think you mean "crap" journalism

2002-04-09 04:47:19 PM
Although I strongly agree that bottled water is a rip-off, I'm not to sure I can grant much credibility to an article that uses "virus" and "bacteria" interchangably.

RobbieFal- love the Dr. Strangelove quote!

St.Alfonzo- what's unsanitary about not shaving?

2002-04-09 04:47:26 PM
Q: what do you think all that white color is in tap water ice cubes??

A: chemically cleaned frozen poo and pee!

2002-04-09 04:48:13 PM
At least air is free...

2002-04-09 04:48:42 PM
The biggest scam is Dasani. A Coke product. It's just 'filtered' - gotta hand it to Coke...why have to go find a virgin spring in some farking mountain?

2002-04-09 04:49:35 PM
I know the difference between bacteria and viri, does this make me over qualified to write articles for cosmiverse?
