Face facts, the news isn't about news anymore. It's about money, endorsements, and lots and lots of money. They choose the stories they do to get money, not to be responsible reporters.

I want to feel bad and I guess I do. I have a daughter and I can't imagine what the mom and dad were going through, but then I think, "Why in the world did she go drinking in a strange country and then go away with 3 strange men?" My 8 year old knows better.
She knows not to drink with strangers anyway.

Personally, the war doesn't affect me at all. Neither does this girl's death.

I've learned that no matter what you put on the TV screen, a lot of people are gonna biatch that it's newsworthy and wish something else was on the headlines. But biatching is a First Amendment right, so you can't argue with that either.

Just wondering, but what other important stories could be looked at instead of this?

Aruba relies heavily on tourism - a young dead girl is going to possible damage their economy, severely.

On the other side, who cares what color she is; she's dead. Stfu.

Yes media is shiat now, yes all complaints are valid. But you are not going to change it by biatching. Change it by not paying attention to the articles so you can biatch about them. Things magically go away when people dont pay attention to them.


Personally, i think these type of stories might be reported more often, if they not only report on cute/white/females going lost, but they should do it for everyone else.
