I'm trying to keep up with all the suggestions and ideas, and obviously not doing so well at it. Here's a bit of a rundown, so you all know what has been done, and how it worker out.

Contacted Ukiah PD (with the help of a TFer). his records are out of date adress wise, but he has no wants or warrants.

Contacted Phoenix's Tattoo parlour, as well as Trust. Neither know him.

Contacted Accent tattoo, no answer.

Called 924 Gilman, left a message.

Posted an ad in the lost and found at Craigslist:

Called the California Conservation Corps. He used to work there, and one of his co-workers saw him a couple of months ago in Ukiah. He's out spreading the word.

I can understand concerns about the purity of my motives. What I don't know how to do is prove my bona fides.

The best I could do, I suppose, is just tell anybody who knows him, but doubts me to tell him to call me. If I knew that such a message had been passed along, and still got no call, I'd have to let it drop, because then it becomes painfully obvious that he wants nothing to do with me.

I've also called likely numbers I found on Zabasearch, and left messages.

Credit card trail? does he have one or a checking account?

Oh, and if I were a debt collector, I doubt I would have spent all day today here and other places looking for him so intently.

NightmareTony I pulled his credit report, and it's all old info. He hasn't opened up any new accounts in just about forever.

He has no credit cards that I'm aware of, and I don't know about the checking account.

I realize that it may be hard to get them to give out info, but Mendocino hospital is right there on the map. Have you tried giving them a call to see if maybe he's been in there recently? It's sort of a shot in the dark but you may get lucky and get someone on the phone who can help you.

Also, you said he gets his tax stuff sent to you. Does he also get bank statements sent to you at all? If so they usually list ATM transactions and locations. That could give you an idea of whether he's still in Ukiah or not.
