Was the Hospital near the Farmers Market by any chance?

... Farmer's market!! [not the boobies to mention that].

/and a dash of country kitchen buffet.

Look on the bright side, the guy doesn't have to go very far for help, being run down at the hospital and all.

That's more convenient than the curbside delivery service at the Outback Steakhouse restaurants.

2005-05-06 01:35:49 AM
I hope somebody comes along and makes a Farmer's Market reference.

I dunno, I'm kind of in awe.

Its ok though, I don't really like the guy.

I guess it just wasn't this guy's day. I wonder what he was in the hospital for orginally.

ShadowDemon: from the tag I'd say his immunity to being injured by cars potion wore off so they fixed him up with another one

This woman will never, ever again be able to lay a guilt trip on her son.

Mom: "I was in labor for 48 hours!"
Son: "Yeah? Well, I was in traction for six weeks!"

Further proof that old folks should be given a driver's test every year past the age of 65. In fact that is probably a good idea for EVERYBODY!

Ehh, Submitter is "unlikely" to know how to use the "OBVIOUS" tag.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Farmers Market

Damn kids, always switching the gas pedal with the brake pedal on innocent old ladies.

What I dont get is we dont allow people to drink and drive because it impairs your ability to react. Age does the same thing. but because we have to be "politcally correct" we allow these elderly people to run people over.

they are fast outpacing teenagers in the accident deptment. Once you reach a certin age, say 70, you should be required to take a DRIVEN examine to prove you can still function safly behind the wheel.

2005-05-06 10:33:07 AM
Wouldn't that be a DRIVING exam?

/just sayin

How's the car? If it survived hitting the pillar, it was definitely a Buick.

/loves his '87 Regal Land Barge... But not the gas mileage.

wow.. talk about not having to fork up money for Mother's Day for a LOOOONG time.. or until she dies. whichever comes first.

/farmer's market?
//I'm guessing Oldsmobile, too!

Unlikely????????

Come here to Vero Beach, Florida, one of the faster growing retirement cities in the State.

We have this big medical area formed around the hospital, with a main road into it. Driving there is an experience is trying to not either get run over by old guys who drive blissfully down the center turning lane for around a mile, old guys doing 25 in a 35 zone, old guys and gals turning their Lincoln Continentals into medical centers and taking up the entire entrance doing so -- making anyone else trying to leave rather nervous and old farts neglecting to notice the many stop signs placed around the buildings.

However, the 911 rescue systems of the city no longer get bored. With all of the retirement communities about, they're on the go nearly 24/7.

BTW, you can't forget the old guy/gal who gets on the main highway and putts along at 35 in a 50 mph zone while people trying to get around them almost get into wrecks doing so.

Driving in Vero Beach, once sorta humdrum, is now rather entertaining. (Glad I play computer games. They've sharpened my reflexes.)

It can get REALLY scary when the oldsters plow through town in the ever popular, Mack Truck sized motor home.

Still, one of the most popular activities for the retired here is to temp Darwin by waiting to pull out on the crowed highway, full of fast cars, selecting someone, looking directly at them as they blast closer and, at the last possible second, pull out and slow down. (Much brake locking usually ensues.)

Cadoldsmopontibuick. Really rusty G or J-body with wire wheelcovers, shot shocks and bumpers hanging at odd angles.

Even better, NH doesn't require car insurance. RUN when you see these cars!

They're called "snowbirds". FL in the winter and anywhere north of that in the summer. Now is a good time to avoid I95 anywhere on the Atlantic coast.

/two NH articles in two days
//New Hampshire tag?
