with her? Who is her?

2005-04-27 07:38:44 PM
We really shouldn't generalize about a person's habits just because....
*checks freezer*
Ah shiat
*runs like hell*

2005-04-27 07:40:27 PM
Well, just to clear the air let me state that we're not ALL killers like this guy.

What?

2005-04-27 07:41:41 PM
Bought $150 worth of Spam? Cut his lawn with a scythe? Sounds perfectly normal to me.

2005-04-27 07:42:32 PM
If I saw that guy in the supermarket I would say to myself: "Self, that looks like the kind of guy who would keep his dead mom locked in his freezer. As a matter of fact, he probably played make believe with her well into junior-high, and got walked to high-school every day."

2005-04-27 07:42:35 PM
He was only a few human skin lampshades behind Ed Geen. Scary.

2005-04-27 07:42:36 PM
There but for the grace of owning a gun, go I.

2005-04-27 07:44:29 PM
Once, Mitchell said, he gave Schuth a ride to a grocery store on French Island, where Schuth bought $150 worth of Spam.

Wow. I mean...just...wow.

If there was ever a warning trait, that would be it.

2005-04-27 07:45:48 PM
If you buy $150 worth of spam you're going to damn well need a shiatload of toilet paper.

Doesn't it scare anyone that he had a degree in education?

Hi kids, I'm Mr. Schuth and today we're going to be talking about sex ed.

2005-04-27 07:46:55 PM

Eewww. Makes me think of Hannibal Lecter if he hadn't gone to college.

2005-04-27 07:47:58 PM
"her" is his mother. submitter probably should have cleaned up the Engrish of the authors instead of submitting it verbatim.

2005-04-27 07:50:27 PM
Damn, Deveyn - I shoulda checked my facts. Our friend did attend college. Oh well. He sure is a-dorable.

2005-04-27 07:59:29 PM
wait though. what kind of make believe? If it involved dresses and high heeled shoes then that's farked up.

but if it involved 10-sided dice and sourcebooks, then that's the coolest. mom. EVAR!

2005-04-27 08:02:25 PM
Well, I'll be the first to say I can see how he got messed up given the situation he had to deal with while a youngster. Sounds like a case of Aspergers Syndrome to me.

2005-04-27 08:17:08 PM
If there ever was a case for the insanity plea, here it is.

Evil-Imposter:

Well, just to clear the air let me state that we're not ALL killers like this guy.

Really. I would never spend the money on the electricity to keep my mother frozen. It was a lot cheaper just to get a bag of lime and bury her under the house.

I've said too much.

2005-04-27 09:03:38 PM
What a poor, sad, little man. Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be paranoid schizophrenics.

2005-04-27 09:27:21 PM
Maybe he should have taken a clue from that town in Colorado and have them do a "Frozen Dead Lady Days" celebration!

2005-04-27 10:25:39 PM
Maybe he bought the TP to make a mummy.

/sigh

This is such a sad story. I hope this guy gets sent to a hospital where he can live out the rest of his days in peace. Even given how bizarre some of the facts are, I found it intensely depressing.

That is, I did until I read the posts above. Cheers guys for putting a smile back on my face.

2005-04-28 01:34:04 AM
And just think, there is one like him in most every town. Where is the slightly off-balanced guy in your town?? :)

2005-04-28 01:35:00 AM
He also was a noted writer of "Conservative Poetry" on his blog.

2005-04-28 01:36:57 AM
Science fiction must be stopped, but make-believe is our system of gevernment.

2005-04-28 01:37:02 AM
Ang6666: Where is the slightly off-balanced guy in your town?? :)

Nobody like that here!

Wait a minute ...

2005-04-28 01:37:28 AM
and the point of this thread is...................?

2005-04-28 01:38:02 AM
The article says he shot at his neighbor, the fark headline says he shot his neighbor. Which is it? Cause if it's the former I can still sympathise with this guy. Oh, and under Floridas new law he could say he felt his life was threatened when the neighbors came to confront him in his yard and get off free.

/He's insane enough that he could have felt his life was threatened.

2005-04-28 01:43:50 AM
You know, I felt compelled to RTFA, just to see if this was someone I know. This is probably not a good sign.

Do I smell a "Weekend at Bernie's III"?

2005-04-28 01:57:32 AM
Ew I bet he had some weird sexual attraction for his own mother. Who knows what strange things go on in people's homes.

2005-04-28 01:59:47 AM
Stupid question, but what is "playing make-believe"?

/non-native English speaker

2005-04-28 02:00:36 AM
Ummm yeeaah... feeling a little creeped out.

2005-04-28 02:00:46 AM
I write science fiction. Do you want to be my friend?

2005-04-28 02:01:12 AM
I cannot wait until the followup when we find out that the corpse was "violated."

2005-04-28 02:01:17 AM
Kind of sad.

Out of curiousity, how does one freeze a person into a 200-300 lb block of ice anyway? =/

2005-04-28 02:01:37 AM
P.S. My mom liked my first novel.

2005-04-28 02:02:20 AM
None of the humans in my first novel were mothers, but there was one alien...

2005-04-28 02:03:17 AM
There is some sex in the book.

2005-04-28 02:03:50 AM
In my town on the central coast of California, there was a woman who left her dead mother in bed for 6 years until she mummified because she didn't know what to do about the situation. It was on a respectable tree-lined street, and what was weird is that the cops were checking up on where all the social security checks were going (not cashed, even) and they peered in a window and saw "someone sleeping."

The story came and went so fast, I can't even find a link.

Oh, and then there's this other local tidbit from my high school alma mater that came and went before you could bat an eye:

San Luis Obispo Satanist Little Elyse Marie Pahler, 15, was "sacrificed to Satan" by three San Luis Obispo teen-agers. The three boys Roger Casey, 17, Jacob Delashmutt, 16, and Joseph Fiorella, 15, took Elyse to a secluded eucalyptus grove about a quarter-mile from her home, fed her drugs, raped her, tied a belt around her neck "to make it easier to stab her", and offered her up as the "ultimate sin against God".

Elyse knew her killers from the school bus. Delashmutt, Fiorella and Elyse attended Arroyo Grande High School in San Luis Obispo, 195 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Delashmutt was expelled from the school in September of 1995; Fiorella left in February 1996 to be home-schooled. Casey attended a nearby school. The three stabbed the girl to death at at an alleged "Satanic altar". The boys "selected and stalked" Elyse believing that a virgin sacrifice would earn them a "ticket to Hell".

Elyse disappeared July 22, 1995 and had been reported missing until Casey came forward and led authorities to her body on March 14, 1996. The girl left her house voluntarily the night she died, although it wasn't clear where she was headed or at what point she encountered her killers. If the teenagers are tried as adults and the jury finds special circumstances, they face up to life in prison without the possibility of parole. If tried as juveniles, they face up to about 7 years in juvenile detention.

The grinning mugs at "Action 6" sure didn't spend much time on this one. We've got a tourism industry to think of.

OK, sorry, starting to creep myself out now. Getting back to some productive work and out of creepy killer/Family Guy mode. Not everyone finds that funny, you know?
