Just search isohunt.com - at least 3 out there. Now when the weezer album is leaked, someone wake me up.

Surprised Cowboys took the 4th rated OLB over DJ. Interesting read is the article of how many drafts the Cowboys over looked UTexas players and where they are now.

Sorry man. I loved the Tigers last year but you guys just didn't play your way in. Not really the players' fault, more the admin. Why did you play against non-1A opponents?

Because Bowling Green backed for one thing, but we had a harder schudle then OK. And look at the SEC,by far the toughest conference in football. USC and OK play in weak conferences. The AP doesn't give the SEC the respect we deserve b/c we are in the south.

Packers, one of the worst defenses in the league last year, so they draft a QB that will never be a starter, or should I say, a winning starter. Huge mistake. HUGE MISTAKE.

/packer fan goes into hiding for the next 10 years, here comes the 80's all over again.

I know, but i believe it. So who do you think they will pick up next, I would say Cody of USC or Blackstock of UVA would be good picks.

I predict Washington has another losing season. Doesn't matter who they draft, what aging free-agent they sign, or what great coach they bring out of retirement.

I haven't been really interested in the lives of Rookies until today.

I want to interview Cedric Benson and figure out what the fark he was talking about. The guy talked like he wasn't gonna get a multi-million dollar contract!

Senator Fark: League rules prevent shut down CBs.

The rules have made it tougher on CBs, no doubt. Have you considered, however, that just although a true shutdown CB is going to be less common, that a CB who is able to defend with speed and guile is going to be more important then ever before in NFL history?

Smed:

Have you considered that the Redskins desperately need depth at the line? Or, perhaps that some new TEs would be nice? Or that the Auburn guy, if any good, will play here for no more than three years, biatch alot, and then go somewhere else? Or, perhaps Brunell is washed up, and Ramsey is a natural pocket passer who gets little protection, and a new rook QB getting pummeled is not going to solve the problem?!

/I said, salty Redskins fan
//However, your point is not invalid. It's just not what is going to fix the 'skins problems.

Hey, i'm from Washington State. We had a front page article in the school newspaper about your so-called "Tough" Auburn Tigers refusing to set up a two-game series with my Washington State Cougars. I'm sorry that you think The Citadel is a better challenge. As long as you guys keep scheduling Div-IAA teams, you'll never be worthy of a National Championship bid again.

There is no excuse for Auburn to refuse to play us. NONE
/sick of people calling the Pac-10 weak when we offer to play any conference, any time, any where...

i'm interested to see where Kyle Orton goes, and if he can hold up.

The AP doesn't give the SEC the respect we deserve b/c we are in the south.

You're kidding right? Anytime I listen to sports radio they talk about how amazing the SEC is

The fact is, the reason Auburn didn't make the championship game is because they started the year ranked so low. The voters are stupid and stubborn, and don't like to have teams leap each other w/o the higher ranked team losing. If Auburn had started the year ranked ahead of Oklahoma or USC, no doubt in my mind they would have been in the championship game.

2005-04-23 06:03:52 PM
Cincinnati got a kid in the first round who is guaranteed to develop into a quality defensive player, and perhaps a regular Pro Bowler.

It's a good day to be a Bengals fan--they are headed back to the playoffs again. Last time I was able to say that, the Internet consisted of Telnet, FTP, e-mail, BBS, and the occasional IRC.

They probably dropped out of that series because they refuse to play OOC away games now because of $$$. They dropped out of a future home and home series with Virginia Tech also.

Hooray! Falcons got another receiver... maybe Vick won't have to run every other play now.

I can't believe everyone thinks Mike Williams is so good.

Hasn't played in over a year
Had Matt Linehart throwing to him at USC
Wasn't even the best WR at USC (Kerry Colbert was)
Is toooooo slow to be a bigtime WR in the NFL
Glad the Bears passed on his sorry ass

. The voters are stupid and stubborn, and don't like to have teams leap each other w/o the higher ranked team losing.

Tell that to Cal fans. MAck Brown sure gave a lot of rimjobs to be number 2 in a few polls. I'll agree with voters being retarded when it comes to preseason rankings (remember Penn State not too long ago?) and that they should not rank teams until week 3, i think voter accountability is more important.

USC would still have beaten Auburn (in my opinion), but probably not as badly as they did Oklahoma.

/playoff?

falcons own. if either white or jenkins develops, they're in phenomenal shape for the future.

It just goes to show that Auburn is a pussy school. Sure they can claim its for the money, but remember the last time they scheduled a mid-ranked team from a "bad" conference? They got railed.

Who was it???

You guys know WHY I say Williams was the best player in the draft?
Watch him... don't just look at the numbers (which ARE amazing), just watch him play the game. The only thing he can't do is run a 4.4...

Williams was picked because the Lions drop balls (BMW does not), the Lions have injury problems at the position (BMW will not), and the Lions have a pretty poor red zone offense (and BMW is going to be the best red zone receiver to come into the league in years, IMHO).

Because Bowling Green backed for one thing, but we had a harder schudle then OK. And look at the SEC,by far the toughest conference in football. USC and OK play in weak conferences. The AP doesn't give the SEC the respect we deserve b/c we are in the south.
First, the SEC was pathetic last year. Usually they're a great conference, but last year, the conference as a whole was BAD. Second, the AP ALWAYS overrates a group of SEC teams (Auburn was not one of them... I will say).

2005-04-23 06:14:55 PM
Now soccer, rugby, hockey, THOSE are great sports.
I really want to know... how the HELL does soccer always come up with sports like rugby or hockey (or lacrosse or other fast, high impact sports)? Soccer is slow and full of babies... seriously.

Arguably, the strongest conference last year (according to Bowl play) was the Big Ten. How nuts is that.

The Big Ten! They beat LSU, OK State, Alabama, a ton of schools from the "power" conferences lost to Big Ten Schools in Bowl Games (save Vince Young University..... and i call it VYU because the rest of the team didn't show up at all, and probably won't again next year)

2005-04-23 06:18:01 PM
Speaking of which, has Rodgers ever faced an actual quality defense in college?
You should probably ask teams like Auburn, Cal, Michigan, and Oklahoma about how good USC's defense has been in the last couple years.
Yeah, the conference gives up numbers... maybe it's because many teams in the conference run REAL offenses.

2005-04-23 06:19:02 PM
HEY, I never really noticed that Edwards was drafted by the Browns.
That team is the new Bengals... the killer of overhyped players/careers.

I am a direhard Michigan alum/fan, and I'll be the first to say that Braylon can't tie Mike Williams' shoelaces. I've seen every single game they've both played, and I wouldn't even call it close.

Let's get this argument going: Who will prove to be the biggest bust of that first round? There's more potential busts in there than I have ever seen in a first round, but I won't hesitate in saying it's going to be Adam "Pacman" Jones. Great Punt Returner, but the kid can't even play his own position well. #6 was a joke for that guy.

your cougars were 5-6 (and thats probably a good year at wsu usually) last year, playing the citadel was not only a better chance financially but beating a 5-6 school is just like beating 1aa school

I just hope the niners win a few games next year, is that too much to ask for?

He had Leinart and Carson Palmer throwing to him. But have you EVER watched him catch the ball? I'm guessing you've never seen one highlight of this guy. Throw the ball in his AREA and he will catch it... no other receiver in this draft can bring in a ball like BMW can.

Yes... I'm sure BMW will have a worse career than such stars as David Terrell... hopefully you don't kill Benson's career like you've killed everone else's recently.

Actually, playing a 1A team with 0 wins would've been better for Auburn last year.

hayssco, you clearly know absolutely nothing about the system upon which the BCS is based. See Puffy999's post above.

And stop posting if you don't know what you're talking about.

The Browns will improve from here one out.

Crennel and Savage are making lots of changes, and they are good changes.. Getting rid of the players that were busts and improving the team with players that fit their system.

WSUCanuck:

...(save Vince Young University..... and i call it VYU because the rest of the team didn't show up at all, and probably won't again next year)

Vince Young was good, but his whopping 150 yard per game passing average alone doesn't get you to 11-1.

2005-04-23 06:33:51 PM
You know, while I'm thinking about it, hayssco, Wazzu had 30 wins in the three years previous to last season. Which you'll probably blame on the weak Pac-10 (fair enough), but it doesn't make your comment about their 5-6 season any less stupid.

You're obviously the classic college football fan who knows a lot about your team and conference, and nothing about anything else nationally, and yet you still think you're some kind of expert. Usually you only find those types in the Pac-10.

i'm glad the niners picked smith over rodgers. i watched rodgers a bit and he just didn't seem as great as everyone made him out to be, where as smith looked better than what everyone was saying. i guess i am a bit biased as i am from utah.

2005-04-23 06:38:45 PM
Shaun Cody from USC goes to the Lions.
Don't know about this one... he's talented as hell, but he'd be a pretty small DT or a pretty slow DE.

2005-04-23 06:42:22 PM
Mike Williams will be a Keyshawn Johnson and not a Terrel Owens.
Actually, he won't be either. He's going to be his own player. I don't know if he'll have the overall on-field impact of TO, but BMW will have a positive impact in the locker room. He's going to have a hell of a career, unlike MeShawn.

Put TO and MeShawn in a room, and the roof will fly off because of the massive egos contained within. BMW doesn't exactly have that.

2005-04-23 06:42:39 PM
I think the Niners should have taken the most talented player in the draft (whoever they thought that was), and taken a QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. The bottom line this year is simply that the "top level" QB's have almost no seperation, talent-wise, from the next level. You could take Alex Smith or Dan Orlovski and probably see almost no major difference down the line.

Using the #1 pick on a player only marginally better than everyone else at his position is a mistake. Another good rule is if the guy, in most other years, would probably fall 2-3 rounds below where you want to draft him -- you probably don't want him early.

2005-04-23 06:42:53 PM
Since Mike Williams has already been picked, let's get the speculation going about when Clarett will be drafted. I was thinking fourth round, but since he had such a poor showing at the combine, I'm thinking late fifth or early sixth. I'm going to say that Oakland is going to be most likely to pick him, being that they already took Moss, and would actually consider Ricky Williams. One more headcase can't hurt that much.

2005-04-23 06:43:10 PM
...with the 31st pick in the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
