Cool, I helped dig up a mammoth tooth in college, we stumbled onto it on a geology field trip. I think it is still wrapped in plaster in some backroom, along side the Arc of the Covenant.

Sorry to break this to you, but your professor sold it for beer money.

Oh, another mammoth skeleton? Sure, just put it in the mammoth skeleton bone pile in the storeroom at LaBrea tarpits. When you find a flying mammoth skeleton, then we'll get excited.

"Aaah! You hit mammoth! malips are bleeding!"

Construction crews in a town near Los Angeles have uncovered the fossilized skeleton of a mammoth, with tusks, believed to between 400,000 and 1.4 million years old, a paleontologist says.

Silly Satan and his attempts to decieve us. The Earth isn't a day over 6,000 years old. I have proof, the Bible says it.

/sarcasm off

You wouldn't happened to have gone to Humboldt State would you? A geology professor and his students found mammoth teeth in the Mad River in the late eighties/early nineties there. I think they even found more of the skeleton farther upstream.

Forsythe P. Jones: Don't mess with Anna. ;)

Scariest part of the movie is the flashback where she takes off her top and the skin around her boltons deforms horribly, as if about to rupture right there. Mr. Chubby deflated on the spot.

/also had the 'breastfed a shark' nipple scars just like Demi in Striptease
//Pandora Peaks is a better actress than Demi Moore
///which probably explains why her character's dialogue got cut to one line
////I'll stop now

Mammoths finds actually aren't all that rare. It's the one with a clovis point embedded in one of its vertebrae that'll make you famous.

I would agree with Catboy, but it said "friends" of Anna Nicole Smith, and I seriously doubt that. Sycophants, maybe....

Wow, a 6000 year old skeleton, oh wait, I'm not a promise keeper, cool a 500,000 year old skeleton.

If you're a TF'er, please go to my profile, click on the story that says "Read on an empty stomach" and cut and paste my ANS story from that thread in here.

I don't want to type that damn thing out again.

...believed to between 400,000 and 1.4 million years old,...

Well, that certainly narrows it down, give or take a million.

The Bible doesn't SAY the Earth is only 6000 (or whatever) years old... it just lists a family tree with ages at death of everyone from the first human on down the line... people who add these numbers up say the Earth is 6000 years old and site that as proof.

/I detected and perpetuated the sarcasm.
