she also invented pop-tarts and the junior bacon classic

poptarts, the jbc, and in vitro fertilization

What are three concepts I'd prefer not to associate?

Ditto. Just replace "three-year old" with "six-month old."

I thought they were going to divide the ashes among family instead... gather them all together, pass around an open urn, and say "here, have a Seegar."

Peaceboy wins the thread!

Wasn't he also working on an in-vitro stereo system before he died?

Never needed in vitro. Both of my beautiful sons are a product of Capt. Morgan's Rum and faulty birth control methods. Have friends that are having trouble conceiving and my heart goes out to them.

Remeber, in-vitro was rabidly opposed by the religious-right and right-to-lifers.

my twin was conceived in-vitro

No more deals, Dr. Jones!

/Must be said with a Hong Kong accent.

i bet there are current members of the religious-right who who conceived in-vitro, that oppose it now.

Submitter - it's "in vitro fertilization"

Another triumph of science over dumb prayer. Hopefully, in another 50 years, we'll have solved more of the medical issues plaguing us, but there will still be asshats saying "Act of Gawd" etc.

Who pulled the tube?

FYI: The parents of Terri Schiavo have authorized a conservative direct-mailing firm to sell a list of their financial supporters.

Oh the want of money and the things we do.

She wasn't "the" pioneer of IVF. The pioneers were Anglo-Australia researchers. Dr Jones was about a decade behind.

Just because something is first in the USA doesn't mean it's first in the world.
