They curse our name, but they'd be willing to sacrifice a limb so that they can pump our gas.

They all hate us, but they all want in.

Yes. Mexico hates us because of our success. They risk life and limb everyday to try to infiltrate our borders with their masses, but the majority are shipped back to their cesspool of a country. They hate us because we are wealthy and free, and all that they want is the same thing. Their jealousy drives them to hatred. This is elementary psychology, man.

RC PhD,

Most Americans do agree with US government policy, that's why Bush is still president, and Congress is mostly republican.

The government isn't ignoring the will of its people, it's just that 51% of the people are complete morons.

Yeah, they couldn't hate us because we call their country a "cesspool".

Well our soccer moms can beat up your soccer moms!

Or at least run over them in their Suburbans!

I called their country a cesspool. What I meant to say was disease-ridden, filthy, disgusting, revolting cesspool. You mean to tell me that all of Mexico hates us because of my description of their country? I have heard no formal statement issued by the U.S. regarding Mexico as a cesspool. I have spent too much time there and I can assure you that my assessment of Mexico is quite accurate. If we opened our borders tomorrow and let them come and go as they please, there wouldn't be the first glimmer of hatred toward us and you know it. They want out of the cesspool more than we can imagine. They know its a cesspool.

2005-03-28 09:15:54 AM
Yes, Barjockey,
They hate us, for the same reson that a lot of countries hate us, because of our ignorant attitude. You're a perfect example. There doesn't have to be an official statement about American ignorance for the fact to be perfectly clear.

How am I ignorant? Because I spell reason differently than you? If they hate us so much because of our ideals, why are they constantly trying to get in our country? Answer my question! I am speaking strictly about Mexico. I have made no blanket statements about the rest of the world. I know other countries hate us for slightly different reasons. But Mexicans wouldn't be risking their lives to get into the U.S. and start a new life consisting of freedom in a country that they disagreed with the ideals of so vehemently as you describe. Hating something that you can't have is elementary psychology. It is evident in children and uneducated countries like Mexico.

You mean like the Black Ghetto's in most American cities? Sure, richest nation in the world, but probably the most unequal......

Just like the Roman Empire, decadent and blind to the suffering its own citizens face.

Hey, why don't you stop using Mexican labour? Because you can't, you are more dependant on them than they are on you.

In all seriousness, soccer (football) has been full of silly and insulting chants. For example: when Elton John became chairman of one club in England, opposing fans would chant "Don't bend down, Elton's around."

No matter. Duke still sucks.

Open the mind a bit there Francis.... of the people that voted for Kerry, what percentage was actually FOR Kerry and not against Bush ?

For the people that voted for Bush, how many more of them actually wanted Bush and not "just Kerry".

It was a mandate.

They come here for money and free health care and housing. Our "leaders" don't have the stones to cut it off, so they keep on coming (and their states, maybe even their homes benefit from cheap labor). I take money from people I hate all the time.

Not something to brag about. You should be.

That said, all's fair in soccer. Think typical Philadelphia Eagles douchebag fan, and multiply by 100, and that's the typical soccer fan. Supposedly, playing in that stadium is sort of like playing while smoking a cigarette. The Mexican team has a massive home field advantage. I believe the U.S. countered by scheduling stateside U.S.-Mexico games in Ohio. In the winter.

2005-03-28 09:35:45 AM
Jeez, you people get all political about a soccer game cheer?
It's as is if some of you were looking for a reason to be bigots. What, we're gonna cheer FOR the U.S. when we're playing against you guys? Plus you booted us off the World Cup. OF COURSE people are gonna get all humourous after that shiat. Some soccer fans have nothing else. I agree it was tasteless, but... at least we're tasteless with everyone else. I myself wouldn't have cheered "Osama" nor disrespected the anthem, though. Some culture needs to be taught in schools. I, at least, will try to teach my children to respect national enblems.

But...Sheesh, dudes, calm down. Back in the 50s or 60s, my father says, soccer fans carried around a COFFIN with the name of the other team/country/city/player and ran around the stadium with it.
Also, people who can PAY to go to the Azteca stadium are, generally, not the people who go on to build and work for your country.

Also, the mexican soccer team plays some "local" games in L.A. Hell, I live in the second largest city in Mexico, and L.A. has more mexicans than my town, officially.

/ Look, the people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we drive your ambulances. We connect your calls, we guard you while you sleep. Do not... fcuk with us.

Joking about 9/11 is one thing. Cheering its perpetrators is simply idiotic, especially for such a petty reason.

2005-03-28 09:37:45 AM
Dear Fark Retards,

If the US had let Osama become president of Saudi Arabia instead of supporting a monarchy with our troops, there would be no 9/11 and a bunch of Mexicans chanting 'Osama' would just be weird.

2005-03-28 09:39:07 AM
yeah, the holocaust being compared to 9/11 is pretty farked up IMO. 9/11 was a terrorist strike aimed in retribution for America trying to colonize the middle east. Not saying it was right, it most certainly wasn't, but there was a political reason behind it.

the holocaust was when modernity lost all control and we started discriminately mass exterminating races based on hate and fear.

don't compare them.

Wow - watch out you don't give yourself a brain cramp trying to twist your perceptions around like that.

Whether someone voting for Kerry or against Bush is irrelevant. 49+% said "NO" to Bush.

That is not, never has been, and never will be a mandate.

Dude, you know my brother? The one who lives in your hometown? He spends nearly half of his time down in his home in Merida, Mexico. It's a gorgeous town, far nicer than a lot of towns I've seen in North Carolina. (Not Wilmington, though...it's pretty damn nice. You got me there.)

Seriously, Mexico gets bum-rapped. At least somewhat.

Ever heard of the two largest football teams in Scotland? Celtic and Rangers?

Their sectarian chants go back to battles against catholics and protestants from 200 years ago.

To quote the great Liverpool F.C. manager Bill Shankly "Someone said 'football is more important than life and death to you' and I said 'Listen, it's more important than that'."

This sentiment is echoed by a lot of supporters throuout the world.

Don't be a pussy. I don't agree with the chant, but it is part of football to insult the other team. Your response should be either: 1.) an equally insulting chant back. 2.) The "English solution", beat the shiate out of them afterwards.

It was a mandate, because one of my brother's friend's coworkers once sampled an incredibly tiny portion of the electorate, who were standing in line for overpriced beer at the state fair-Enuff Znuff was there, which was 100% rad-and concluded from what he learned that Bush's 51% was totally mandate material. So there.

First of all - you have presented 1/6 of the equation. Your coworker "asked 30 people who [they voted for] and why [they voted for them." Who was this sample? Where were these people asked the questions? Do you and your coworker work for a polling company or were you just putting people on the spot in a supermarket? How many even voted for Kerry out of the 30. If 3/30 of your sample voted for Kerry, 2/3 is pretty good. Maybe others didn't want to talk to you or give your friend a reason.

Second, no one I've ever chatted with can give me one reason they voted for George Bush except to bash John Kerry. GWB had no record to run on.

Third, regardless of all of that, your conclusion is non sequitor. Nothing you've said has anything to do with a mandate.

We need to slam the door on the aid money we send to Mexico, put up that big concrete wall, put a bounty on illegals and fine the crap out of anyone who employs them.
If your not a legal citzen you should not get any sort of handout - period.
Millions of dollars leave the country to be sent back to Mexico and at the same time these same people are sucking off our social system for free medical and food.
A $1000 bounty per person to turn them in and a $100,000 fine per person to the company who employs them. Ban wire transfers to Mexico.
We CAN do this, we have made larger changes in the past.
Bush just doesn't give a flying fark about this country or its people. There IS no logical justification for turning a blind eye to this and a huge majority of the US want a solution now... look at the polls.
