Stubblyhead thanks. just thought that (/font)was all that was needed 2 might be redundent. when i left it as it was it went +3 but no color change. any ideas out there for me?

bonehead: stubblyhead is right, you need to close both tags if you have two (makes sense if you think about it) and you can put multiple attributes in the same opening tag, usually. for excellent tutorials in HTML and other webby stuff go to

Certified Bonehead: Probably obvious, but you could also work it up in notepad, save as .html, and then view it locally on your browser. Just a thought.

Ha. Some things never change. I randomly typed in thread #456 to see what would pop up and it took me back to 6/5/2001. The first thing I see is the following complaint about the submissions that are re-submitted. What's old is new, what's new is old.

It's kinda hard, lots of news sites use the same articles. That and multiple submitters don't necessarily read the site. We try to keep on top of it! At any rate at least it was funny. And we also got a nice picture of a cowboy out of it

BigPeeler and whomever else, one place I tested out various HTML tricks is in my profile. Edit, Save, Yikes, Re-Edit. But that way you can just re-do it after you see what happens, and you don't leave any permanent traces anywhere of your learningness. Make sure you save a copy of your profile first, though, somewhere else, just in case you completely fark up the works.

Certified bonehead: i've found that the forum software here is really picky about whitespace in html.. like (font size = "+3") would be totally ok with browsers (and i prefer it personally for readability), but it gets ignored here. (font size="+3") will get it done.
