But what about the United Federation of Planets??

2002-03-19 07:02:35 PM
hey

2002-03-19 07:08:42 PM
Someone has even more time on their hands than I do.

2002-03-19 07:09:31 PM
Well, that certainly wasn't dorky at all. I'm going to go fill out my brackets for the Galactic Cup of Limmie now.

I got this crazy page emailed to me somehow earlier today. One look and I deleted it heh

2002-03-19 07:12:15 PM
Actually, this URL is at the end of the most recent Star Wars trailer. I actually noticed it the first time I watched the thing, should've submitted it to the Fark gods that be.

2002-03-19 07:13:44 PM
um..what the hell is this?

2002-03-19 07:14:20 PM
GEEK CHECK!!!

"Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be Star Wars geeks..."

2002-03-19 07:17:44 PM
Who's the little Star Wars geek with too much time on his hands?
*pinches cheek*
Why you are, you are, yes you are.

2002-03-19 07:20:18 PM
That did not amuse me at all.
I want a refund.

The Force is with you Brak!!!

"Corellia Closes Borders", *gasp!*

Don't count me wrong, I like star wars a LOT, but the last thing I want to read is cheesy SW fan fiction news updates that don't coordinate with the plot in general. I mean how can a region of space close off borders without guarding above or below them? Hello, anyone ever here of the all mighty Z-axis? Okay...ranting done, now to go and sit like a good fan, waiting for the SWG beta to open and apply.

If you find this video, get it!!! A 70's parody of the Star Wars original movie.

Has anyone seen this:

http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/atom_1403

Is the star wars gansta rap. farking funny.

I, too, was going to make a cute comment about a Star Wars geek with too much time on his hands, but when I noticed that I couldn't really click the nuna...
Turns out the site is owned by Lucasfilm and the geeks are being highly paid for that time.

PS. Did anyone else take the poll?

I wish the chicks would get out of the way, so I could see the new Starfighter intercepter. I guess things are the same, no matter what galaxy you're from. Pick up a Bike mag, or a Car mag, or a Republic Guardian mag, and there's always some scantilly clad chick standing in front of the vehicle, blocking your view. Sheesh.

2002-03-19 07:28:48 PM
Interesting parallel to modern Internet ads. I'm just glad there wasn't some asinine Flash pop-up ad asking me to purchase an Imperial chocolate bar or a Landspeeder or something.

Hardware Wars was great!

"What's wrong Augie Ben Dogie? Did you feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices cried out in anguish and were suddenly silenced?"

"No, just a little headache."

2002-03-19 07:31:38 PM
Dude, they have a six digit planet code for weather information, but the galaxy has over a million worlds in it. That's FUBAR...

(or I could just assume some of them aren't inhabited, but where's the fun in that?)

2002-03-19 07:33:27 PM
Wow...

it's just like real news....

'cept it's for geeks!

2002-03-19 07:33:43 PM
this is extra-special sad.

2002-03-19 07:34:01 PM
It's too big to be a Spaceship!

OBB
2002-03-19 07:42:28 PM
I don't know about you guys, but I thought it was pretty funny...

STOP LAUGHING AT ME!!! *OBB runs away crying*

Hmm...a nerdy fansite run by a major company...nothing is more than when they have to hype themselves after years of loyal fans...

*** My Boobiesing***

man that was pathetic, i have no idea why anyone would want to devote that much time to something so trivial. go paint a picture or something

2002-03-19 08:04:14 PM
Hard to tell whether this is sad or scary. Oh what the hell...its both.

"Geeks...can't live with 'em...tastes like chicken."

2002-03-19 08:04:38 PM
My first reaction was "what a sweet job that would be!" but then I realized that I would probably have to get 8-inch thick glasses and snort a lot when I laugh, so I have officially changed my mind. That is all.

2002-03-19 08:05:48 PM
I like starwars, but this is pathetic

2002-03-19 08:06:54 PM
Okay, who's obsessed.

Hey!!! 'Tastes like chicken' is my pinch phrase!!!

2002-03-19 09:01:44 PM
this is the site at the end of the new SW trailer from lucas. must be run/owned by him?

2002-03-19 09:56:49 PM
I checked the webmaster info (linked by the alien language gibberish at the bottom of the screen) and it's an official Lucasfilm site.

Getting paid to do this must be a fanboy's dream come true.....

2002-03-20 10:06:14 AM
Hardware Wars wasn't funny when it came out, and it isn't now.

Thumb Wars, on the other hand... :)

2002-03-20 11:52:20 AM
I submitted this right after the trailer came out. Oh well. It's still as lame as it ever was.
