My thoughts exactly.

So, when the whole world is taken to the planet Blisstopia, and I am alone to fend for myself in a world doomed to be destroyed by a big-ass farking comet, can I take all the cool stuff everyone left in the way?.

/Scavenger all the way, baby.
2005-02-27 12:06:05 AM
Nostradamus didn't predict any new viruses. I'm cool.

You're all going to look pretty silly making
funny of this, when they appear.

Then who'll have the last laugh!
2005-02-27 12:08:44 AM
The date...close enough to panic yet long enough to forget about when the day actually comes we'll never remember. I wish Fark had a "follow up" calender for these tin foil stories.

Me, because when everyone's gone, I'll go get all the stuff the saved people left behind, and create an army of impromtu droids.
2005-02-27 12:09:08 AM
Gullibility isn't in the dictionary.

2005-02-27 12:12:57 AM
You're missing the bigger picture here: Yes, they'll save us, but can they help us get better car insurance deals? I bet they can't!.
2005-02-27 12:12:58 AM
Hey aliens! Take me with you! And my boyfriend! And my banjo!
2005-02-27 12:13:28 AM
Just as long as I don't have to cut off my "boys" and wear Nikes, I hate Nikes.
2005-02-27 12:13:43 AM
JOEKC: Gullibility isn't in the dictionary.

Yes it is, I checked.
2005-02-27 12:13:55 AM

2005-02-27 12:14:28 AM
You know - only ONE nutjob claiming that the UFO's are coming needs to be correct... Maybe he's that nutjob?

/Mmmmm. Nutjob.
2005-02-27 12:14:30 AM

2005-02-27 12:15:16 AM
Well, you do have to commend the guy for attempting to assign Nostradamus' prophesies to something before they happen.
2005-02-27 12:15:48 AM
Stve347: No, but I think that's the point.
2005-02-27 12:16:45 AM
All is well. . .we'll be saved at the zero-hour by a koala mutant fish bird.

Good headline.

And the "writer" of that "article" seems to "have" a "serious" case of "quotation issues."

See, Karen, I told you the end of the world was nigh!

Now will you have sex with me?
2005-02-27 12:20:54 AM
James Finn is not a person who makes predictions as a rule, however, he feels strongly about the 21st of March 2006 being the possible starting date of the next "superwave" event. He says "My position on this "date" is that I would rather be wrong and say something about it, than be right and say nothing about it, because I wasn't sure.

Why? So he can say I told you so?

/smells like attention whoring
2005-02-27 12:21:01 AM
After going to that site, I have only one question. the HELL...did this make it to the main page? It's not like they can pay Pravda-level money! :)
2005-02-27 12:21:38 AM
So here's a thought... it says that "the superwave will be preceded by earthquakes and volcanic activity." Gee, that's a tough statement to make, because it's not like there are earthquakes and eruptions every damn day!!!

/and end rant

2005-02-27 12:24:10 AM
Hopefully we'll have found a ZPM by then and have Antartica powered up. If so, bring it on!
2005-02-27 12:24:15 AM
Hmm, speaking of which, what was the name of that group that claimed to have cloned a few babies, the Ragulians? What is the name?.
2005-02-27 12:25:01 AM
I remember thinking that Peter Jennings' UFO special the other night seemed about 40 years past its relevance.

Now my face is red. Thanks for being on top of current events, Pete.
2005-02-27 12:25:08 AM
Was it the fact this article was retarded that no one noticed the article says March 21 and the submitter put March 26?
