If I'm going to die for a can of beer, it better be Heineken, and NOT Nattie Light. Sad.

2002-03-18 02:06:58 PM
So long as none of the beer was spilled....

2002-03-18 02:07:22 PM
As long as it wasn't a can of Mad Dog, or anything priced 2.99 per 6pack.

2002-03-18 02:07:28 PM
Man, them migrant farm workers sure does loves their beer.

2002-03-18 02:07:32 PM
Dobson said about 10 empty cans of Natural Light were found in an area...

Yeeeeees, Natural Light. For when you absolutely don't give a shiat anymore.

Cristobal Velazco? Irish?

2002-03-18 02:09:59 PM
Natural Light, Immigrant Farm Workers and Murder. Wasn't this in Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck?

2002-03-18 02:10:23 PM
Hello...
My name is Inigo Montoya.
You stole my beer.
Prepare to die...

2002-03-18 02:10:49 PM
PSA: the guy who died was NOT the hero. The guy who killed him was :)

Read the story! The Velazco guy came in and demanded the other dude's last beer, then proceeded to pull a knife on him and try to take it. I tend to believe it's a case of self defense.

Although if someone tried to steal a Natty Ice from me, I'd probably just say, "hell, take it."

2002-03-18 02:11:07 PM
NATURAL LIGHT ?!

That shiat ain't worth dying over.

Now, a quart of Colt 45? Now we're talking MURDER...

2002-03-18 02:11:35 PM
Touch my Yuengling and I'll stab you too!

2002-03-18 02:11:49 PM
Not that any beer is worth dying for, but but no good beer comes in a can.

2002-03-18 02:12:46 PM
...now had it been "The Beast," it would have been GAME ONM, Muthafarker!!!

Did someone say Natural Light? Good god, even Maxim magazine admits that's crap.

2002-03-18 02:13:40 PM
ummm...or game on. Yeah, that too.

"Have a beer with FEAR !"

2002-03-18 02:15:14 PM
A can of Natural light, I thought killing for a pair of Nikes was low, but this gotta be lower.

NORM!

2002-03-18 02:17:15 PM
I'm confused on who the hero is in this situation.

2002-03-18 02:17:39 PM
You die for a 30 yr old bottle of scotch, or a box of Havanas, or a pair of Master's tickets. For Naural light you thank the person for taking it away.

...duh.

2002-03-18 02:17:56 PM
i wonder if he drank the beer while waiting for the police?

2002-03-18 02:18:34 PM
wow, just think of what he will do for a beer after 15 years

2002-03-18 02:19:47 PM
I'm pretty sure this was episode #9 from the third season of "Chico and the Man."

2002-03-18 02:19:50 PM
This was not a fight over a freakin can'o beer? This was about some farker comming into another mans home and trying to rob him. Then, when the man defends himself, he get charged with manslaugher?

That guy should get a medal and lifetime supply of beer (the man is drinking Natual Light, for chissakes. Give him Shiner Bock or Bass at least.)

How could anyone be charged with manslaughter for defending himself?
Read the story carfully, and pay attention to the names of both guys, and where they were when it took place. It's clear enough to me why this was manslaughter and not defending yourself from outside aggresors.

2002-03-18 02:21:04 PM
I suppose if Budweiser is the King of Beers and Tuborg is the beer of (Danish) kings, then Natty Light would be ...what... the beer of lowly pawns?

2002-03-18 02:21:23 PM
Dobson said about 10 empty cans of Natural Light were found in an area of the field where Velazco liked to drink and that people had seen him drinking heavily about midnight.

NATURAL LIGHT?
um.. NATURAL LIGHT?
WTF?

2002-03-18 02:22:51 PM
Anyone else notice that the fight was most likely over a Nattie Light. I can see Natural Ice, or Sierra Nevada, but killing a man over a Natural Light is like killing a man over a can of dog piss....

2002-03-18 02:22:51 PM
My in-laws live there and it's a sad, sad place. I mean, c'mon people are killing over Natural Light.

2002-03-18 02:23:15 PM
Permagined:

It's clear enough to me why this was manslaughter and not defending yourself from outside aggresors.

Why? Because they are both Hispanic? What the fark is that supposed to mean? Our white supremisist society cares if one spic kills another one? Hmm...

2002-03-18 02:24:11 PM
fark yea! Finally, someone else who feels the same way about natural light as me. I don't care what anyone says, that's some quality beer.

2002-03-18 02:25:37 PM
I believe that's "pus-nuts", as coined by Richard Marcinko.

2002-03-18 02:25:39 PM
Top o' the Anheuser Line-->> Michelob, then Bud, Busch, and finally, the scrapings at the bottomn of the keg-->>>Natural Light

2002-03-18 02:26:41 PM
I have to agree- Natural Light isn't a quality brew. Sure, it's great at 3 AM when you've had a case of something else and you're only interested in maintaining your buzz, but as a starter I'll go with something else, thanks.

2002-03-18 02:26:46 PM
I believe it was a stunt by the brewers of good ole' Natty Light for their upcoming Public Relations/Advertising campaign:

"Natural Light...taste so good, you'll kill for the last one..."

2002-03-18 02:27:08 PM
tasty stuff....not
