Why would anyone want to understand cricket?
2002-03-18 04:10:28 PM
it's a silly game...I just don't get it...never have...probably never will.

2002-03-18 04:10:44 PM

2002-03-18 04:10:56 PM

2002-03-18 04:11:01 PM
I don't *want* to understand cricket. Just like I don't *want* to understand Curling.
2002-03-18 04:11:07 PM
This just made me more confused...

I thought cricket was like baseball, yet this has me selecting bowlers and then throwing me the final button, "Bowl Ball".
2002-03-18 04:11:45 PM
Did anyone else's eyes glaze over when you looked at that scorecard?
2002-03-18 04:12:06 PM
I am more confused too.
2002-03-18 04:12:24 PM
Now I'm just more confused than ever! I thought Cricket involved an Ewok in some way.
2002-03-18 04:12:41 PM
oh yeah... ...and, that was a game?!
2002-03-18 04:12:44 PM
I bet all of us farkersd would give a damn about cricket if naked centerfolds played it... I know I would.
2002-03-18 04:12:57 PM
Who does this web app think he is, telling my Bowlers aren't selected.

I'm bout to smack him upside the head!
2002-03-18 04:13:04 PM
If I actually cared enouh to want to understand Cricket, this might be cool.
2002-03-18 04:17:28 PM
No, it doesn't.
2002-03-18 04:18:06 PM
You might bad mouth Cricket. But it isn't an international laughing stock like those excuses of "sports" called [American]"Football" and "Baseball".
2002-03-18 04:18:56 PM
Most of us don't understand dodgeball. Now Fark wants us to comprehend cricket? I'm sure it screws kids up, whatever it is.
2002-03-18 04:19:04 PM
2002-03-18 04:25:46 PM
I like grasshoppers
2002-03-18 04:26:57 PM

I'm curious as to why you consider baseball an "excuse of a sport"..?
2002-03-18 04:27:32 PM
um......that made me more confused.....
2002-03-18 04:28:36 PM
Why do we need a game to understand noisy bugs?
2002-03-18 04:28:37 PM
Okay... I went to the webpage...

...I clicked on their hyperlink to play the game...

...just one click...

...and I STILL DONT GET IT!!!!

[image from too old to be available]

This was the only work I could get once Endor lost its strategic significance to the Rebel Alliance. Bowl those balls!
2002-03-18 04:29:16 PM
No reason, Boomslang. Just feel like getting back at the Americans who constantly bad mouth sports which are played globally.
2002-03-18 04:30:49 PM
A graphic simulation might be more effective for teaching us morons.
2002-03-18 04:30:58 PM
ClownCollegeGraduate:/bold> Just because everyone does it, doesn't mean that it isn't a stupid sport.
2002-03-18 04:31:24 PM
In other news, FARK becomes a victim of it's own success....webpage becomes slower than the Middle East peace process.
2002-03-18 04:32:01 PM
Ahhh nuts, messed up HTML
2002-03-18 04:32:50 PM
I still don't understand why cricket counts as a sport. It's basically a combo of hockey and bowling...both sports that we would be better without. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy bowling, but hockey...hell no.
2002-03-18 04:33:00 PM
ClownCollegeGraduate: baseball is, in fact, played globally
2002-03-18 04:34:31 PM
I don't live in India or England, why would I ever want to know how to play Cricket?
2002-03-18 04:36:05 PM
2002-03-18 04:36:23 PM
weeping, moaning, gnashing of teeht. i hate that game
2002-03-18 04:37:15 PM
Just feel like getting back at the Americans who constantly bad mouth sports which are played globally.

Baseball is an Olympic sport. Cricket is not.

Discuss amoungst yourselves......

"This online game helps you understand cricket"

umm... no it doesn't.
2002-03-18 04:38:21 PM

Ahh ok.. I usually don't bad mouth too many foreign sports. I actually enjoyed curling this year at the Olympics, as it was a sport I had never seen prior...

I am willing to give most sports a chance.. I have never seen a game of cricket living in USA, but I assume baseball is a close relative to it?

I'm really looking forward to the World Cup this year.. I usually don't follow international soccer, but the World Cup is an exception, as it is shown more on our TV networks..
2002-03-18 04:38:45 PM

Have you ever been in a batting cage set to 90MPH pitches? Oh yeah, I didn't think so.
2002-03-18 04:38:52 PM

"This isn't a simulation, it is based upon a crude dice game, so expect no intelligence and wonder why your Rabbit batsmen score Centuries whilst your openers are out for ducks...."

Uh...yeah...I'm unstanding more about Cricket with each passing
2002-03-18 04:39:41 PM
I don't get it and I'm British.
2002-03-18 04:42:31 PM
Yeah, baseball is a farking stupid sport.

I mean, who wants to play a game that is actauuly easy to play?

It just aint cricket...
2002-03-18 04:42:40 PM
This online game helps you understand cricket

no it doesn't.
2002-03-18 04:43:29 PM
Do the Brits even give a damn about cricket? Personally, I wanna be a soccer hooligan.
2002-03-18 04:43:35 PM
oh yeah.. that helps a lot
2002-03-18 04:45:55 PM
It's help me understand that it's quite pointless, don't you know.
2002-03-18 04:46:06 PM
I can't name names cause that's not cricket.
2002-03-18 04:46:14 PM
ok now i'm just a LITTLE more confused bout the farking game...
2002-03-18 04:46:19 PM
I mean, who wants to play a game that is actauuly easy to play?

Easy to understand. yes. Easy to play? Just one at bat vs. Roger Clemens or The Big Unit would change yer mind.

Statistically, it has been proven time and again, the single hardest feat in all of sports is hitting a baseball with a bat.
