"What about US bars?"

There are no good US bars, they serve american beer and therefore suck.

and obviouly the best bar is the one with the most irish fighting.

Carnage The last time I was in London it was American beers people were buying. I don't know why. However, what bar in America does not serve imports?

Harmonia on FARK at home.

Again, I state my argument that US microbrews can beat anything in Europe.

By the way, Jake's in Billings, Montana or Lafete's in New Orleans are the best bars i know of in the US.

My two favorite bars:

1. The Alley Cat Lounge, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Anybody from around here knows it.

2. The Last Waterhole, Amsterdam, Netherlands. 'Nuff said.

Strangely enough, they are much alike. Except you can't legally buy a joint at the Alley Cat. And you can't get a decent amount of ice in your drink at the Waterhole.

What makes a bar great in the UK is if it's in Dublin and you're sitting with an attractive Mol supping your 6th pint of Guinness.

dammit, that makes me homesick, just reading up on all the pubs back in London I used to go to, and some (the Anchor!) that sound wonderful, that I didn't even know about!

I tell you, there's nothing better than to spend a lazy weekday summer afternoon in a beer garden overlooking the Thames, with a few friends and a few more pints.

Ah, how I miss my Student days. ;-)

However, what bar in America does not serve imports?

Well, yeah, they serve imports. But I've found a few miserable excuses for bars that serve the imported versions of Budweiser, that is, cheap piss poor light lagers.

Ah well, those who think beer == light lager won't get MY business, but I'm certain they have a wide enough customer base. Just point me in the direction of the bars where IPAs, copper ales, hefeweizens and porters are served.
