Just what I want to see Visas of dead terrorists who killed thousands...not a very good post, or tasteful one in my opinion

I did all that and they turned mine away.

It surprised me a little that no one questioned the student paying 27,000 for a years education out of their pocket.

How many students do you know who have that kind of cash. You'd think they'd just take out a student loan. it's not like they were worried about the interest rate or anything.

Is there anything tsg can't get?

Did you see the approval date on those forms: Atta's form was approved on July 17, 2001 and Alshehhi's form was approved on August 9, 2001, with visas issued on October 1, 2001. There must be a bunch of slackers at INS. You'd think SOMEONE would have noticed those names with all the post-attack press coverage.

...but they really shouldn't discriminate against these guys just because they were hijackers. They had a right to get those visas after they hijacked those plans because everybody knows that the US gov't was the real villain in those attacks. esp. Bill Clinton.

(i'm gonna go cut off my fingers now)

Well, the thing is, if you do not have this money, the INS will refuse your application, since you are not allowed to work with a student Visa. Should the INS get suspitious because he could get 27,000 dollars? Of course not, that's what it demands from it. Any person that managed to get a student Visa for the USA had to prove that it already had the money to pay for all expenses.

Uh, dudes? The point of the TSG thing is not "ooh! look! here are their student visa apps!" The point is that they were just approved and the flight school received them on Monday.

Well, clearly, the solution is privatizing the whole government.

Yeah- this is the great bureacracy that is now keeping us safe by providing airline security!!!!

Nobody who's actually had to deal with the INS will be at all surprised about this.

HyperX, the INS is not supplying airport security.

They're missing the Even More Amusing bit, which is that *all* visitors and visa holders who enter the US must answer 14 questions at the port of entry. Question 4 is particularly pertinent:

"4. Have you ever engaged in, conspired to engage in, or do you intend to engage in, or have you ever solicited membership or funds for, or have you through any means ever assisted or provided any type of material support to,
any person or organisation that has ever engaged or conspired to engage in sabotage, kidnapping, political assasination, hijacking or any other form of terrorist activity?"

I'm not making this up. They also have questions asking if you're a Nazi war criminal, or if you're intending to be (or have ever been) a pimp or a prostitute.

I think it's terrible that these nasty terrorists lied on their visas, when they clearly knew they were entering the country for nefarious purposes. It's not INS's fault they missed them - they *did* ask, after all.

$27,000 for flight school ? The monthy payments would have been a biatch, thank god they killed themselves !!!!

I guess he won't be needing that visa now.

Thank God that it was federal employees who did this. If they'd been in the private sector people would have lost their jobs over something like this.

This never would have happened if Bush wasn't distracted from his duties by trying to recall the lyrics to the "eensy weensy spider" song.

9/10 - INS is supplied by the government who also supplies airport security. Same type of dumfarks working there..
