I say this guy is a hero, honestly. To be in that kind of bad shape and get motivated to change your life in that kind of way would have to be the most difficult commitment to keep.

Granted, it doesn't excuse getting in that shape in the first place, but still, that's a hell of a life changing decision.

This guy is obviously still dangerously overweight, and continuing to smoke is terrible, but good for him nevertheless. 400 lb is a lot of wieght to lose, even with bariatric surgery. Sure, he was in a bad place before, but he's on his way out, so kudos to 'im, I say.
