Quarterbacks in the NFL get too much credit when things go right, and too much blame when things go wrong. Don't you people understand that the game is won or lost solely because of the shoes?

/really

Both players, ESPN.com has learned, will debut new one-of-a-kind shoes for the game. No one should be too surprised if the athletic shoes the quarterbacks are unveiling for the Super Bowl are soon stocking the shelves at a footwear outlet near you

And right there, ladies and gentlemen, is the entire reason behind Pasquarelli's "news piece". If you listen closely, you can hear the last of ESPN's integrity escaping above the ozone.

Can ESPN's journalistic stock fall any lower?

I wonder how much more the winner's shoes will sell vs. the losers?

What happened to the days when quarterbacks used to sell gloves?

Kickers oughta sell the shoes.

Visiting ESPN's web site is like trying to make love to a beautiful woman while being shot by 5-year-olds with BB guns.

In other news, this only applies to the Eagles. The Patriots had to buy their shoes for some reason.

I wondered if anyone was going to jump on that -- honestly, I don't think it matters. Football players of any sort plus gloves are just a bad mix anymore...
