I think they may want to test that kid for autism.

David wore the jersey throughout Christmas vacation in 2003 and just kept going. His goal was to establish a Guinness Book of Records mark on most consecutive days wearing a Packers jersey. According to Guinness officials, no such record currently exists.

How long do I have to go before I get the record for "Most consecutive days not wearing a Packers jersey"?

2005-02-06 12:07:22 PM
In other news, I've worn the same pair of shoes everyday for over a year since I bought them.

/who really cares?

2005-02-06 12:50:54 PM
eeew. I hope that he's washed it during that time

2005-02-06 02:33:49 PM
So, if this kid dresses like Brett Favre does that mean he swallows like him too?

2005-02-06 02:35:48 PM
"David has a lot of sticktoitiveness, his father, Chuck, said...

I bet that jersey's got quite a bit of sticktoitiveness by now, too.

2005-02-06 02:36:12 PM
This is news? Can someone include my article on "most days without giving a flying fark?"

2005-02-06 02:36:41 PM
David has a lot of sticktoitiveness, his father, Chuck, said from the familys home in Ridgefield, Ct. This wasnt an idea of ours.

Good old sticktoitiveness.

How do you friggin' pronounce the name "Farvverevvvrrree?"

It sounds, like French or Klingon or something.

Quicker on the draw than I

Chuck Witthoft grew up in Milwaukee and maintained his allegiance to the Packers through moves to Minnesota, California and California.

Huh? California is so great they have to list it twice? (I suspect they meant the last one to be "Connecticut", but it took me a minute.)

2005-02-06 02:41:56 PM
Why did this get a strange tag?

2005-02-06 02:42:35 PM
I guess the two Californias must mean the Blue state Californians and the Red state Californians.

2005-02-06 02:47:09 PM
If he was wearing a Culpepper jersey, Daunte would've taken it back by now.

At least he idolizes the best player in the league.

2005-02-06 02:47:30 PM
I hope this kid never tries cocaine

2005-02-06 02:48:30 PM
Why is the Connecticut news always so asinine? This, and before there was the evacuation alert that nobody noticed...
For *once* I would like some crazy news, and Connecticut shall be distinguished on Fark, if only for a day...

2005-02-06 02:49:04 PM
At least wear a jersey of a player that doesn't suck......

2005-02-06 02:50:00 PM
Jersey to appear on eBay in 4...3...2...

2005-02-06 02:55:19 PM
This needs a [image from img.fark.com too old to be available] tag.

The fact that the kid does it despite negative reactions from others is great.

2005-02-06 02:56:27 PM
Does anybody else think that this kid's parents need a firm slap to the face?

They are letting their kid wear the same thing every day for over a year. Hell, his mom is used to washing it every night. This kid is going to grow up thinking it's okay to wear the same thing over and over and over. Sure, he'll fit right in during his college years, and I suppose if he gets a desk job he'd be able to get by, but still! Jeez.

irulebiatch

back to back to back MVPs = suck?

Nice logic on that one.

/story needs hero tag

2005-02-06 02:58:37 PM
He's worn the same shirt for more than 1/8 of his life?

His goal was to establish a Guinness Book of Records mark on most consecutive days wearing a Packers jersey. According to Guinness officials, no such record currently exists.

No such record exists? Imagine that....loser.

This stunt brought to you by NFL Starter Jerseys

They won't put him in the books, unless the kid gets some fatal disease or something.

/wrong on so many levels, but meh

2005-02-06 03:01:10 PM
I was wondering what that smell was.

2005-02-06 03:02:07 PM
Mike3k22

Yeah, I just loved his perfomance last Packer/Viking game.

And BTW wearing a shirt every day is just sick, I don't care if you wash it, HERO tag would be well earned if this was for charity or something. Hell, I wear the same shoes and hat almost everyday.

2005-02-06 03:07:25 PM
This is pretty cool. You Farkers who think this is dumb are just bitter old cynics. Oh, and consequently, you're making fun of an 8 year old.

2005-02-06 03:08:46 PM
the fact that he's taken the shirt off should count against him, points wise

2005-02-06 03:12:44 PM
He's ready to move up to vicodin and beer.

2005-02-06 03:14:48 PM
Alright, I'm kinda confused. He only wears the jacket when he has the opportunity. It's not like he has worn it for 408 days and not ever removed it from his body. This is terrible "feel-good" news.

/Feels better for belittling an 8 year old and his jacket

2005-02-06 03:15:11 PM
He better not commit any crimes.

Could you describe the suspect?

Well yeah, he had on this ratty, faded green football shirt with pale yellow stripes on the sleeves...

Oh, we know that kid.

It's pronounced "Farve".

Chuck Witthoft grew up in Milwaukee and maintained his allegiance to the Packers through moves to Minnesota, California and California.

So, he moved to California from California?

2005-02-06 03:26:44 PM
Before everyone starts giving oral to Mr Favre, lets all remember that John Madden has it taken care of.

/go bears

2005-02-06 03:28:29 PM
I live in Wisconsin, and Brett Favre could literally be governor. He wouldn't even have to run, he'd simply have to ask for the position.

he is after all, the only reason the packers havent been 5-11 the past 12 or so years (we won't talk about the 20 before that...)

2005-02-06 03:41:36 PM
David has a lot of sticktoitiveness

Really? Is "sticktoitiveness" a cromulent word?

Oh well, at least my vocabulary has been embiggened.

2005-02-06 03:47:46 PM
me fail english? That's unpossible....

2005-02-06 03:48:32 PM
Brett Favre seems to be quite a hero to the people of...um...Connecticut?

2005-02-06 04:17:39 PM
I've worn the same pair of underwear since this morning.

/ Why do underwear come in pairs (a pair of underwear)when bras don't (a bra)?

[image from img.fark.com too old to be available] or [image from img.fark.com too old to be available] : You decide!

IMO, this comment calls for a new hypocrite tag.

2005-02-06 05:06:21 PM
Do you think it's too late for this kid to start a life?

2005-02-06 05:07:35 PM
Rashind

Shoes don't need to be washed with this magical creation called a sock, hats don't need to be washed if you wash your hair every day, washing it once a week won't kill it though. A shirt will soak in all kinds of nasty oils/odors. If I ever saw someone wearing the same shirt every day, I would deem them a hobo. Moral of the post, the kid is a hobo, and Rashind doesn't wear socks :)

2005-02-06 05:10:06 PM
It clearly says in the article that his mother washes it every night.

And Daunte Culpepper is not an asshole.

2005-02-06 05:11:41 PM
I don't feel like I'm making fun of the 8-year-old...I'm making fun of the asinine parents who are allowing their son to do whatever he wants - can parents today be any more spineless when it comes to letting their kids do whatever they want??

/you want to collect guns in your room, Timmy? Okay, well, don't you go using them!

Can someone post pics of the Observers after their brain pans were taken away and Brain Guy transformed them into raging Packers fans?

2005-02-06 05:38:03 PM
Typical story coming out of the Green Bay area press. Hard hitting stories involving the Packers. I see they're really scrapping this year since Brett's stellar preformance againts the Vikes!

2005-02-06 05:51:01 PM
The kid needs to be treated for his OCD. It will only get worse.

2005-02-06 05:53:50 PM
/Packer fan.
//Wishes Favre would retire. GB needs someone more solidly dependable like a Tom Brady.

2005-02-06 06:58:49 PM
Ewww, imagine the goatlike adolescent boy-stench that follows him wheresoever he may go.

/classmates should sue
