So saying "Hitler was as crazy as batshiat" could be true in more ways than one?

/Does this thread invoke Godwin?

Though vaguely Ironic, I find this discovery to be totally unsurprising. I mean, if there were ever a guy who would kill even his own child because of some sort of "defect," Hitler would be at the top of my list.

But more thna likely he never even knew it happened, like the article said.

2005-01-19 10:25:14 AM
Well, at least he put those ridiculous mustaches out of fashion for 1000 years.

Hitler/Shickelgruber coming from a crazy family? Well, I never.

2005-01-19 10:32:41 AM
Well, I wouldnt exactly call him crazy. He was very smart but he put it all to bad bad uses.

2005-01-19 10:43:26 AM
I had to read that headine 3 times.

Santas90si: He was very smart but he put it all to bad bad uses.

I wouldn't say that starting simultaneous wars on two fronts was very smart, but he did accomplish quite a bit for a paranoid delusional with Parkinson's.

And only one testicle, or so the story goes...

Only if you call Hitler a Nazi.

2005-01-19 12:56:39 PM
Santas90si Which part wouldn't you call crazy, the murder of 6 million Jews or the whole trying to take on the whole world in a war thing?

2005-01-19 01:15:16 PM
Don't forget that we gave him the basis for a lot of his ideas. We were the first major modern proponents of
eugenics for purifying our genetic stock, though we tended to use less severe means than ovens. I'm not trying to say he was good, just they we all suck.

2005-01-19 02:24:14 PM
I'm no expert, but I was under the impression that as he started to get drunk on power and go batshiat crazy, that's when he decided to fight on all fronts.

If he hadn't, would we be speaking German now?

2005-01-19 02:24:41 PM
I bet Hitler was calling the Jews terrorists, and he had to liberate them.

2005-01-19 02:24:53 PM
More deserving of an 'Obvious' tag then an 'Ironic' one.

2005-01-19 02:25:56 PM
Go ahead, go to Superpages.com under the people pages section and throw the last name "hitler" into it.
I was surprised to see that people actually have that last name. Ask yourself, have you ever met a Hitler? I thought it was a "banned" name.

2005-01-19 02:26:29 PM
Hitler had a Charisma score of 25, but a Wisdom score of 3. And he was Lawful Evil.

/Been playing too much D&D...

Ah! If only Lenin had done the same for the goatee...

i agree with : BloodyL

this is only vaguely ironic....if he was trying to protect his relative and ended up killing him then it's ironic...
btw...didnt RTFA

Actually I'd put my namesake a step above Hitler.

2005-01-19 02:27:40 PM
Even worse, throw the last name "Nazi" in there...there a couple people with that last name. Thats kind of shocking

This is ironic but it isn't news. This is a guy that thought that every one should be blonde and blue eyed even though he wasn't himself. He obviously had a massive inferiority complex which he ended up unleashing upon millions of people through violence.

2005-01-19 02:30:23 PM
Hitler is Bush!

wait, that doesn't sound right...

2005-01-19 02:31:35 PM
Well, at least he put those ridiculous mustaches out of fashion for 1000 years.

Weirdest thing... I saw some guy on the subway platform (in Toronto) the other day with a Hitler moustache. Looked like a professional businessman except for that damn moustache.

2005-01-19 02:32:16 PM
At least he wasn't a hypocrite.

2005-01-19 02:32:21 PM
has anybody figured out what we can do with 'tards yet?

slavery is no good because you could get a cripple or a slow learner

my best guess was something like putting the toys in cereal packs but then they would drool all over the place and eat the food but something similar to that would be cool

2005-01-19 02:32:55 PM
That Hitler...what a nut!

2005-01-19 02:32:58 PM
I knew a Billy Hitler when I was in grade school. He was very reserved and got along well with others.

no one who speaks german could be evil

That must have made Thanksgiving dinner very awkward.

2005-01-19 02:36:22 PM
Hitler crazy!?! Surely they're not serious!

Actually, the nazis truly were supermen. They conquered a lot of Europe and were fighting the U. S. and Russia at the same time. When the war was over, and we were looking for nazis to prosecute, we found out that there never were more than about a dozen of them. Furthermore, because of their super German efficiency, they got through a thousand year reich in only a decade.

2005-01-19 02:37:06 PM
This is not ironic. Now if a mentally ill person where killed by a psychiatrist, that might be ironic.

2005-01-19 02:37:41 PM
Great!

2005-01-19 02:38:04 PM
here come the irony nazis

2005-01-19 02:39:16 PM
At Busch Gardens, right as I was getting into one of the cars of a roller coaster, I saw this guy in a Busch Gardens T-shirt, shorts, a fanny pack, and sandals, completely normal "dad" looking guy. He had Hitlers Flock of Seagulls-type haircut and the moustache. I think there were also children with him.

Frightening to see, when you are about to be hurdled at 80 mph on a rusty steel track.

2005-01-19 02:40:02 PM
here come the irony nazis

If the irony tag was gassed and thrown into a mass grave we'd never have to listen to irony nazis again.

2005-01-19 02:40:50 PM
Actually, that is pretty ironic.

2005-01-19 02:41:00 PM
Sounds like the original (and current) mission of Planned Parenthood.
Hitler was a little leaguer compared to the Communists.

2005-01-19 02:41:11 PM
That's not irony.
Stalin had his own son killed.

2005-01-19 02:41:20 PM
Yes, Hitler had a mental illness called manic depression AKA he was bipolar. They could have fixed him with some lithium.

2005-01-19 02:41:51 PM
My favorite German is a coaster designer with a nephew who is a famous American military hero (and still alive today). And for all of you coaster fiends, the family link is of interest. The name Schwarzkopf should be familiar to ya...

2005-01-19 02:42:57 PM
Hitler's 'Flock of Seagulls'-type haircut

Ive never heard it put that way before,
however, it is an amazing observation.

2005-01-19 02:43:47 PM
NuttierThanEver

And Stalin killed how many of his own countrymen?

Why do people try to compare the holocaust to the whole gulag system? The proportion of killings under Stalin is so much greater and no one even gives half a shiat, besides natives of the former USSR.

2005-01-19 02:44:08 PM
here come the irony nazis

I hate Ironios nazis.

2005-01-19 02:44:43 PM
Also this is more sick than ironic, I think. That he would kill his own kin, that is.

Stalin committed the ultimate crime! Genocide of his subjects!

2005-01-19 02:44:45 PM
This article raised more questions than it answered.

/annoyed

2005-01-19 02:45:01 PM

Like rain on your wedding day?

When you walk into a lamp post, does it make a sound like: Dumb-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b....?

2005-01-19 02:45:15 PM
You know the guy was mentally screwed up... he didn't fit his own definition for the "Aryan Race"

2005-01-19 02:45:20 PM
Crazy? In Hitler's family? Say it aint so.

Wolfgang Eisenmenger, a German expert, warned against drawing any conclusions about Hitler's own mental health.

''Given the basis of the Nazi ideology and Hitler's own world view, the very notion that congenital insanity exists in a paternal line in Hitler's family itself is interesting, to say the least,'' he said.

Since when did "congenital insanity" become an acceptable medical term in 2005? I thought the very concept of "insane" was as out now as someone being diagnosed as "nutso" or a "wackjob." Crazy? no. Mentally ill, yes.

2005-01-19 02:45:37 PM
what's ironic is that the vp of a country's daughter is a lesbian and he's pushing for an ammendment to the country's constitution to ban gay marriage.
