Icelandic women own more vibrators per capita (52 percent) than women in any other country

Mabye it's one woman with a really huge collection.

hey....nothing wrong with that

2005-01-19 09:49:27 AM
Only a tiny fraction of Iceland has midnight sun, and that's only one or two days or so.

Batteries be damned, in a tale passed down in the sagas and in the name of my father Johan, I will do what every good Johanson does, I'm firing up the geo-thermal powered suck machine. Eventually, I will pass this precious machine to my son Johansonson. If the cows lick the trees and Loftar smiles upon us we can get it unclogged he will pass it to his son Johansonson.

I thought I noticed a strange buzzing sound from up there.

vibrators per capita (52 percent)

That's not a per capita statistic. Iclandic chyx own .5 vibes per cap.

Per capita, every Icelander has 1 testicle and 1 breast.

No not bjork.

Are Women in iceland hot?

2005-01-19 04:07:53 PM
Norwegian newspaper Dagsavisen says that the survey, conducted by condom manufacturers Durex, that the vibrator category is the only category Norwegian women do well in,

This statement is completely unqualified in the article. The *only* category? It's not the only sex related category or something like that? Apparently Norwegian women are absolutely good for nothing.

Well, I'm off to the airport...

2005-01-19 04:08:41 PM
That article was woefully uninformative.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

I guess that explains Minnesota.

Ah-EEEEEEEHHHHH-AHHHHH now esplained.

Perhaps, then, this is why Icelandic women have been so...cold...to me in the past.

2005-01-19 04:17:27 PM
During college, I had three female (platonic, more or less) friends from there, and they were among the most sex-obsessed people I've ever met. The guys there are even worse.

but since I'm from The American South, to me Icelandic women just aren't that hot across the board. Now, when you find a really hot one, she's world class, but otherwise, meh.

Another note: Never believe per capita stats from that country. With 270,000 people total, it's easy to be #1 at many per capita rankings. They are also the "most well read" and "most traveled" people on the planet on a per capita basis.

2005-01-19 04:17:51 PM
What is the major industry in iceland, anyway? Doesn't seem like the best place to farm, or much of anything else. Of course, I've never been there, so what do I know.

2005-01-19 04:18:49 PM
Excuse me, Iceland should be capitalized.

2005-01-19 04:21:13 PM
I'm thinking that this says more about Icelandic men than it does Icelandic women.

/got yer vibrator right here, ladies *grabs crotch*
//only has distant contact with reality

2005-01-19 04:22:32 PM
ChickenFriedMonkey - I think maybe they have the largest battery manufacturing industry in the world. I'm not 100 percent positive on that though. In fact, I'm guessing. Actually, I don't know.

Never mind

2005-01-19 04:23:51 PM
Yeah, maybe every other girl has a vibrator... but that just means at least every other guy visits prostitutes.

Vive la difference?

America: "What's that humming sound?"
Canada: "Oh, that's just Iceland."

They also lead in the category of chipped teeth per capita. They should read the instructions.

The best of both worlds.

Farking in Rythm and Sorrow

A divorced lady arrives home from a bar
Guess, guess what she sees, sees there
There is a naked person in my flat!
He's got a weird expression on his face!
Oh my god and jesus as well!
W-what are you doing here?
Are you hurting your chest?
Offending yourself?
Forcing yourself into pain and sorrow like there is no tomorrow?
You should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour!

He looks at me hopeless with tears in his eyes
Goes out of the window and up on the roof
Naked man, naked man calm down!
I-I'll give you some strawberry cake

Don't act like there is no tomorrow
You should use the pain and the sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour!

Aaaaaow!
Life's both sweet and sour!
Life's both sweet and sour!
Life's both sweet and sour!
Don't act
Don't act
Don't act-act

Like there's no tomorrow!
You should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour

Don't act like there is no tomorrow
You should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour

Ta ta ta ooh woah!
oooh...ooh....
Life's both sweet and sour
Life's both sweet and sour

Yes. Masterbation.
So very, very strange.

woot!, GREAT Sam McGee reference.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

Now Sam McGee was from Tennessee, where the cotton blooms and blows.
Why he left his home in the South to roam round the Pole, God only knows.
He was always cold, but the land of gold seemed to hold him like a spell;
Though hed often say in his homely way that hed sooner live in hell.

On a Christmas Day we were mushing our way over the Dawson trail.
Talk of your cold! through the parkas fold it stabbed like a driven nail.
If our eyes wed close, then the lashes froze till sometimes we couldnt see;
It wasnt much fun, but the only one to whimper was Sam McGee.

And that very night, as we lay packed tight in our robes beneath the snow,
And the dogs were fed, and the stars oerhead were dancing heel and toe,
He turned to me, and Cap, says he, Ill cash in this trip, I guess;
And if I do, Im asking that you wont refuse my last request.

Well, he seemed so low that I couldnt say no; then he says with a sort of moan:
Its the cursed cold, and its got right hold till Im chilled clean through to the bone.
Yet taint being dead--its my awful dread of the icy grave that pains;
So I want you to swear that, foul or fair, youll cremate my last remains.

A pals last need is a thing to heed, so I swore I would not fail;
And we started on at the streak of dawn; but God! he looked ghastly pale.
He crouched on the sleigh, and he raved all day of his home in Tennessee;
And before nightfall a corpse was all that was left of Sam McGee.

There wasnt a breath in that land of death, and I hurried, horror-driven,
With a corpse half hid that I couldnt get rid, because of a promise given;
It was lashed to the sleigh, and it seemed to say: You may tax your brawn and brains,
But you promised true, and its up to you to cremate those last remains.

Now a promise made is a debt unpaid, and the trail has its own stern code.
In the days to come, though my lips were dumb, in my heart how I cursed that load.
In the long, long night, by the lone firelight, while the huskies, round in a ring,
Howled out their woes to the homeless snowsO God! how I loathed the thing.

And every day that quiet clay seemed to heavy and heavier grow;
And on I went, though the dogs were spent and the grub was getting low;
The trail was bad, and I felt half mad, but I swore I would not give in;
And Id often sing to the hateful thing, and it hearkened with a grin.

Till I came to the marge of Lake Lebarge, and a derelict there lay;
It was jammed in the ice, but I saw in a trice it was called the Alice May.
And I looked at it, and I thought a bit, and I looked at my frozen chum;
Then Here, said I, with a sudden cry, is my cre-ma-tor-eum.

Some planks I tore from the cabin floor, and I lit the boiler fire;
Some coal I found that was lying around, and I heaped the fuel higher;
The flames just soared, and the furnace roaredsuch a blaze you seldom see;
And I burrowed a hole in the glowing coal, and I stuffed in Sam McGee.

Then I made a hike, for I didnt like to hear him sizzle so;
And the heavens scowled, and the huskies howled, and the wind began to blow.
It was icy cold, but the hot sweat rolled down my cheeks, and I dont know why;
And the greasy smoke in an inky cloak went streaking down the sky.

I do not know how long in the snow I wrestled with grisly fear;
But the stars came out and they danced about ere again I ventured near;
I was sick with dread, but I bravely said: Ill just take a peep inside.
I guess hes cooked, and its time I looked; . . . then the door I opened wide.

And there sat Sam, looking cool and calm, in the heart of the furnace roar;
And he wore a smile you could see a mile, and he said: Please close that door.
Its fine in here, but I greatly fear youll let in the cold and storm
Since I left Plumtree, down in Tennessee, its the first time Ive been warm.

Forget the vibrators, what's with having to pick a legally approved name for your kid...?
