I heard he's going to trip defenders with his dick and catch a touchdown.

What a gangsta.

2005-01-14 10:05:51 AM
Hm. He's a tard.

2005-01-14 10:06:20 AM
meh... I do that everytime my wife lets me have some nookie.

/Married 10 years so it's not that often.

2005-01-14 10:08:09 AM
Hmm maybe he'll bring back the SUCK IT sign!

2005-01-14 10:08:27 AM
This guy is just rediculous. I wish ten grand was nothing to me.

2005-01-14 10:08:33 AM
dammit why was this one green-lit, now i gotta go repeating myself!

if i were in his shoes i would be a dick too.
why is everything always about the children?! that fine is ridiculous. and having the press spin it like they do would only piss me off more, and THEN to have them throw it in my face asking if i wrote a check for it?

sorry, but i'm with randy, they can go fark themselves.

2005-01-14 10:08:44 AM
So much for the 'professional' aspect.

/idiots and their money.

2005-01-14 10:09:02 AM
Mabye then we can see all his short-comings

Sammy

2005-01-14 10:10:10 AM
i submitted this with a funnier headline

2005-01-14 10:10:55 AM
Where does all this fine money go?

2005-01-14 10:11:45 AM
I'm kind of on his side too. People are blowing this way out of proportion, and the only reason this keeps coming up is the press is pursuing it. He's a guaranteed sound bite, so they keep shoving a mic in his face. Easiest story to make.

I kind of hope he hangs 4 TD's on Philly and causes riots in the stands. F' Philly.

2005-01-14 10:12:39 AM
a class act, all around, he is. I'm assuming Marshall Unversity is a member of the Ivy League, right?

2005-01-14 10:13:39 AM
F' Philly.

here's hoping you'll be eating those words with cheez whiz and onions this weekend

2005-01-14 10:14:16 AM
albo - hey, now...i went to marshall (one of my good friends had an experience with randy moss's assholiness, which is part of the reason i can't stand him).

GO THUNDERING HERD!

tee hee

2005-01-14 10:15:07 AM
"Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand, to me?"

"When you're rich you don't write checks."

-Randy Moss

Holy crap. What an asshat.

2005-01-14 10:15:44 AM
Ok ok...wait...since this is greenlit, I have to choose a side:

A:
Well, he was a poor black gifted athlete. You now give him more money that he ever dreamed and essentially give him a free pass everywhere. He's going to do what ever he wants. Why? Because he can. Let the ignorant do what they want and ignore it. Move on with your life.

B:
I thought it was kinda funny. I mean, he obviously did it to get back at the Packers' fans for a specific reason (which is they do they same thing to losing teams). Therefore, it was clever and well timed. He didn't actually do it and he did something that was light and funny when people are too damn serious all the time. Get over yourselves. Especially Joe Buck, geez dude...take a chill pill. Who gives a crap. Move on with your life.

Please, help me choose a good starting angle before the liters start posting

2005-01-14 10:16:27 AM
F' Philly.

i hope you burn.

/not really

2005-01-14 10:16:50 AM
Here's hoping for a career ending knee injury...

He'd be dead in 2 years.

2005-01-14 10:17:17 AM
I thought it was funny**, and was not offended in the least, ESPECIALLY since there was no nudity.

**I am from Philly, and love T.O.

2005-01-14 10:18:00 AM
i think its easier for you guys to hate him from your armchair - if you were in his shoes you'd probably think a lot differently.

i mean, he stuck his ass out. that costs $10 grand? gimme a break.

he gets kudos for not compromising himself in the face of a bunch of whiney spineless crybabies.

2005-01-14 10:18:41 AM
use A and B, bulldg4life. it was funny and innoculous thing to do, didn't hurt anybody, but he's a pro and getting paid to do his job, and as such and as a grown man he should act professionally on the field.

2005-01-14 10:19:13 AM
Good for Randy. The NFL and country are overreacting on this bullshiat.

2005-01-14 10:19:21 AM
and i have a whole box of kudos if anyone else wants one.

2005-01-14 10:19:35 AM
Normally I think this guy's a dickwad but damn that was some funny shizzle. I gotta give him credit for creativity. At least he really didn't pull them down or worse pull out a sharpie from his shoe.

Reporter: "Write the check yet, Randy?"
Moss: "When you're rich you don't write checks."
Reporter: "If you don't write checks, how do you pay these guys?"
Moss: "Straight cash, homey."

Damn Straight.

/AND I'm a GreenBay fan!

2005-01-14 10:20:13 AM
bulldg4life - agreed. Anyone ever play a pick up game of basketball. This kind of thing happens all the time. I know I know, professional athlete. See bulldg4life's 1st point.

2005-01-14 10:21:45 AM
albo: and as such and as a grown man he should act professionally on the field.

The only problem is...he's a young black man that is getting paid millions of dollars to play a game that he would also be playing at the local HS on Saturdays.

It's a game. It's not the office downtown.

As much as you'd like them to act professionally, it is a game and they aren't getting paid to act like saints. They're getting paid to play a game.

2005-01-14 10:25:07 AM
It's just my opinion, but it seems like Pittsburg and Minnesota are the only teams with any personality left, so I hope he keeps it up. I'll add the Eagles if T.O. ges back. I hate people that think a violent sport needs to be family friendly.

2005-01-14 10:25:42 AM
The only problem is...he's a young black man that is getting paid millions of dollars to play a game that he would also be playing at the local HS on Saturdays'

huh? what does his race have to do with anything? it's still a job. he's a working man and should act like it. in fact, he should work as hard as that guy on the practice squad who would kill just to spend a game on the kickoff return team

2005-01-14 10:26:45 AM
homies

2005-01-14 10:28:13 AM
harrywalby: I hate people that think a violent sport needs to be family friendly.

I completely forgot about that.

This is why it's such a big deal. It's remotely sexual. Everybody, there was the impression that a bare ass was going to be shown on TV.

And, as we all know, sex is a million times worse than violence.

2005-01-14 10:29:08 AM
albo: huh? what does his race have to do with anything?

Race doesn't have anything to do with it. I'm just saying, he's playing a game that he would be playing anyways. It just happens that he is getting millions of dollars and millions of people are watching.

2005-01-14 10:30:54 AM
Moss rarely does any kind of celebration dance after a touchdown, he usually just hands the ball to some handicapped kid on the sidelines. But for some reason his little ass shake has everyone in an uproar, I don't get it. People act like Green Bay fans are so great and honorable, when in reality they're a bunch of drunk rednecks with room temperature IQs that like to moon the visiting team's bus when they leave town. That's classy. And as far as his latest comments are concerned, what would you rather hear, some PC/cliched prewritten statement? It's the truth, $10,000 ain't shiat to him.

2005-01-14 10:31:21 AM
I'm sure that the NFL will be pissed this weekend when 'casual' fans tune in at 1pm on Sunday to see what that crazy Randy is going to do. Those weekday drive sports radio guys who picked up a few more listeners than usual are probably pissed too. Sometimes to get publicity, you pretend that you like Chunky soup. Other times, you pretend to pull your pants down. Seriously, which is better for the NFL and the people who make their living off it? Hate him as much as you want, but know that what he did honestly helped the NFL. And saying "Next time I might shake my [expletive]," which will get even more publicity has helped even more

2005-01-14 10:32:28 AM
I'm a Philly Igglez season-ticket holder (Sec 235 -- 726 in the old barn -- upper deck end zone with my fellow battery-throwing, Santa-booing animals), and while I hope that Randy Moss gets dropped faster and harder this week than Paris Hilton's panties on any given day, what he did last week in Green Bay should NOT be a finable offense.

2005-01-14 10:32:30 AM
Moss can be a jerk, but this is just stupid. I'm also with Randy. It was funny, and he didn't over do it. The gesture took all of a half-second and it was not that big of a deal anyway.

I also thought his comments yesterday were funny. Classless, yes, but that's Randy.

Philly, you're going DOWN!! (I hope... oh please... please Lord?)

2005-01-14 10:32:45 AM
albo: he's a working man and should act like it.

he plays a game. he's not a working man.

2005-01-14 10:33:11 AM
bulldg4life, i guess i just don't see why we need to make excuses for a player's classless actions. he's a grown-up; he should act like one when he's on the field. his shiat already got one coach fired, and could get a second one canned. he's just a jerk

2005-01-14 10:34:18 AM
I kind of hope he hangs 4 TD's on Philly and causes riots in the stands. F' Philly.

Sounds like we have a Redskins fan in the house.

Enjoy the offseason. That's as good as it gets for you guys.

2005-01-14 10:36:26 AM
I thought the situation (and the article) was funny myself. It's a football league, not a prim & proper game of croquet out in the meadow where a gent named Jeeves fetches you a bottle of Perrier.

I don't care much for the tired old lines like "we just need to execute better" or "we just need to play our game" that many athletes spew nowadays.

2005-01-14 10:38:10 AM
djemonk, yeah, I'll fess up.

I'm just hoping for a good game, and I'll be laughing all day at the old washed up broadcasters and talking heads crying about his antics.

Plus, I really don't like either team, so it's win/win.

2005-01-14 10:38:11 AM
bulldg4life: It's remotely sexual.
Showing your ass is not sexual. Most people do it every day in many ways, and I don't see anything sexual about it at all.

If he's gonna show the peener, I hope they don't forget the wide angle lens.

2005-01-14 10:43:23 AM
I do the same victory dance in the office everytime the copier correlates my TPS reports correctly.

2005-01-14 10:43:32 AM
There is a rumor here in MN that before the game he told Tice he was going to do something to get fined if we win.

There is know telling what that crazy mofo might do if we win this weekend. I dont think it'll be directed at Philly fans or the Eagles, but I bet he comes up with something to get the media all worked up.

2005-01-14 10:44:37 AM
Sheesh, I'm having homonym trouble again.

Please mentally correct my previous post as you read it.

2005-01-14 10:45:16 AM
Maybe one of the reasons people are making a big deal over this is because throughout his career, Moss has repeatedly shown himself to be selfish, obnoxious prick. And people are sick of him.

Whatever happened to "when you get to the end zone, act like you've been there before."

2005-01-14 10:46:35 AM
Zulu_as_Kono, you have a point, but I'd rather see something like that than the friggin' Icky Shuffle or some other stupid celebration.

Moss rarely celebrates.

2005-01-14 10:47:54 AM
closeminded.: he plays a game. he's not a working man.

He gets paid to do a job in a multi-billion dollar business. Football stopped being "just a game" a very long time ago.

2005-01-14 10:47:57 AM
Whatever happened to "when you get to the end zone, act like you've been there before."

That's what he usually does. He usually hands the ball to a kid and walks off the field. This "dance" was out of character.

2005-01-14 10:49:40 AM
Any othger farkers going to the game this weekend?

I bought way too much food, and I'm looking to give away hot, juicy meat.

Um...I mean...I bought extra steaks. We tailgate in the lot between the FU Center and the Spectrum right across the street from the gate going into the open end of the stadium (I refuse to call it the "headhouse plaza," or, even worse, the "pepsi gate")

2005-01-14 10:50:13 AM
Yeah, I wasn't just talking about endzone celebrations, but about all complaining he does about not getting the ball enough, getting into fights with his teammates and coach on the sidelines, walking off the field before a game is over, etc, etc...
