If Condit killed Chandra, it would have been because he loved her very much....

I wish the money for his pension could be taken from the 38 % of those losers that voted for him.

Chandra Levy must be spinning in her shallow grave right now.

Condit gone, Clinton gone, what's an aspiring Intern to do in DC now? Take up Stripping and Hooking?

2002-03-07 02:52:29 PM
He cheated on his wife so this makes him a bad politician?

Oh please, there is zero evidence connecting him. OK, so a chick he had sex with disappears, but there is no evidence of murder to be found.

Living in a society where you're innocent until proven guilty seems to be really tough for some people to accept.

There was a guy on Larry King a few weeks back, some author who has been really interested in the legal system ever since his daughter was murdered, who says a man in the Middle East told him that she had been kidnapped by a slave-trade group (they DO exist...). And this author was no tin-hat wearer.

Don't you people remember? It was some Puerto Rican guy.

Oh yeah, the author wasn't a Condit fan by any means.

Ya, but the problem is that at first he was saying Chandra who? And "I don't know her." Seems a little strange that he was saying he didn't know her when he was banging her. It also seems a little strange that he was the last one to see her alive.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...thanks I needed that.

He needs more...

I mean, his little story made million$ in ad revenue for the cable news channels. They should at least kick a little of that back to him... right?

2002-03-07 03:07:00 PM
Hm. If I make my daughter wear a tinfoil hat, maybe she'll be immune to the slave-traders...

Boot20: You still failed to counter my point that there is no evidence. OK, so he tried to protect his political career...all that shows is he's dishonest like every other dirtball in Congress. But that's not evidence of murder, as much as your silly widdle wingnut butt would like it to be. Put it this way...there are lots of politicians who screw around with women...hell Larry Flint exposed a bunch of them during the Clinton hearings. By your logic, every time one of these women happens to have something bad happen to them, a politician MUST be to blame by default.

As far as the kidnapping thing goes, yeah I know it's out there, but I'm just relaying what this (conservative) dude said. There's as much evidence for this scenario as there is for Condit killing her (none).

Warmbeer: There is enough evidence that makes it REALLY looke like Condit did it (though not enough to prove he did it). There is so much stuff that points to him that it is hard to say it isn't him.

As for the slave trade thing...there is no evidence (unless you have a link to what that dude says) that links any kind of slave trading with her going bye bye (and wouldn't more girls have going missing?)...

Lord Argent promises to be an honest politician.

"yeah, I banged her, like cheap gong. I banged her on the bed, then I banged her against the wall. I banged her when the dog was watching. I banged her on coke and weed. I banged her in the car. I banged her on the plane four times. Once during takeoff and once during landing. and then I just kept banging her after that."

As far as the slave trade in general goes, it does exist...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&node=&contentId=A539 69-2001Jul12&notFound=true

And you say "wouldn't more girls have gone missing"...well, people go missing and never turn up (ever) all the time, it's just not normally news. Who knows what happens to them? I know it's just speculation, and when this dude saide it Larry King kept questioning him on it, and he basically said "anything's possible" but he still didn't trust Condit.

Blah...

I don't think that the scumbag Condit killed her. I think he obstucted justice by not doing every thing in his power to help in the investigation right away. This includes giving the police all his information, good and bad, so they wouldn't "have" to concentrate some of their investigation on him. Why the hell did he have an aid throw a watch that she had given him away in a trash can in VA? His "save you own ass first" mentality is not what anyone should condone as good public service, especialliy in light of the fact that this girl may have been still alive. (She may still be alive I guess). To anyone who did vote for this piece of human refuse, I say couldn't you find some other candidate (D)w/ simular views?

I wonder what Kato has to say about this.....

Condit is going to retire from political life and move to a secluded island with a long-time friend. Yes, he and OJ will be sharing a condo on the island of misfit toys. Maybe they can find the real killers there. Or maybe on the 15th hole at Pebble Beach?

Condit's Haul. Taxpayers aren't finished footing some of the bill for Rep. Gary Condit (D-Calif.), who will receive $721,603 in a federally funded pension if he lives to the age of 82.

Even though Condit recently suggested on CNN that he will not be getting a pension, in June of 2003 the Congressman will start receiving an annual equivalent of $19,492, according to calculations by the National Taxpayers Union. Based on actuarial tables and assuming an annual cost-of-living adjustment of 3 percent, Condit will walk away with nearly $1 million in pension money for his 13 years in Congress.

2002-03-07 04:03:17 PM
OK, I know $19,000 isn't a lot for an old edumacated white dude but I didn't even make that much my first year out of college. Perhaps if I had killed one of the kiss ass interns at my job. I think it would have been the intern that liked to show the boys her nipple rings in the back closet. Oh, they loved her so . . . and I despised her. She had that idealism crap and that strive to work that just made the rest of us look bad. I could have gotten a $4,000 a year raise if I had just made her "disappear".

(evil cackling laugh)

2002-03-07 04:03:42 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a federally funded pension for ex-politicians pretty common???

"isn't a federally funded pension for ex-politicians pretty common???"

It's only a big deal if you're a Democrat. ;)

If you say nipple ring you must include picks

Boot 20:
If I were married and got busted for schtupping a junior colleague, I'd lie about it, too. The first rule of dalliance is "deny everything." Of course Condit lied about it. That is one of those pieces of information people aren't entitled to unless they can figure it out from the available evidence. How many people are really, consistently, honest about their sex lives? I bet there are not many. So why begrudge the poor bastard his pension? He lost his job already. The cops even say he's not a suspect -- and they're usually the last to admit that about anyone.

2002-03-07 07:19:07 PM
I first parsed that as "Condit gets 19K years in prison."

The thought of actual justice in America actually shocked and suprised me.
