And people keep saying that oil is bad. Sheesh.

Oil wouldn't be bad if it was corn oil. Goddam American farmer propaganda telling me my SUV pollutes the environment, and I should make a car that runs on corn oil. Greedy bastards.

Come on people! This is Fark, the land of beer and boobies! 6 comments on this thread. It's a sad day in Farkistan when the prospect of 2,783 beers each brings almost no response.

Being Swedish, I think it's about time we took that country back. 95 years of independency is quite enough.

Psh! That's only like $70 in US dollars.
In Alaska we have a much better deal; a fund close to $25 trillion dollars. Every resident gets a fat check for about $2,000 every year just off the interest from this thing.
If you don't believe me, check out the permanent fund website

Unfortunately, the government have decided to not spend it on beer, better education and health care.

Instead they will use it to further their goal of a drug-free society.

Every sheep-stink covered Saudi peasant is a millionaire many times over, yet all the Norwegians have to show for their OPEC status is a few thousand beers? Haven't Socialists yet figured out that "how to handle money" thingy?

Javaman: You have to be an Alaskan resident (not sure of the requirements for this) and you have to have lived in the state for about 9 months out of the year I think. They're pretty strict about it, so you'd actually have to -live- in alaska for a decent amount of time to get the money.

(oh..and sorry about the double post...)
