The STE?

Damned shame.

Still farked. I'm amazed at how many people have lame-ass web servers. Granted, about 20,000 clicks from Farkers over the past 6 hours. But shouldn't a decent web server be able to handle that? Mine does.

Sorry y'all, I'm just ranting. I get frustrated with servers that get farked so easily, and then when I click on the post late I can't see it.

My apartment overlooks what MUST be the accident capitol of the midwest. I see at least one accident per week, sometimes spectacularly weird. I have often thought of starting a webcam what for ta watch all the accidents like. I've been saying I would do that for well over three years, though, so...

Damn your annoying.

07734: Ok, he used em-dashes instead of a comma or parenthesis...

They're en dashes, you stupid fool! Ha ha ha ha ha! A full em dash is represented by three hyphens---like this!

When used like they are in the headline, an en dash makes no sense!!!!! Just like the headline! Ha ha ha ha! You got owned!

Beatle = John, Paul, George or Ringo
Beetle = Volkswagen product

And don't spell ever spell it "Volkswagon" in front of me!

That F50 was terrible. Desert? Sand?

I wonder if it was some Hollywood-type burning ass on 15 up to Vegas at 140 and lost it?

Anyone know the story behind that one? It can't be that hard to figure out, it's not like there are that many F50's anyway. And besides that, who would want to drive that in the desert with no A/C?

A kid I knew drove a Hummer onto the sand at Virginia Beach on the area near the water that you can drive your cars on and he drove a bit too close to the water and sunk the farking Hummer.

Most of these 'high end' cars are all inside.. the body is just aesthetic, providing no protection.

You get what you pay for... High end speed and looks, or actual protection from death.

Personally, I'd rather be driving a 20k Dodge ram than a 200k ferrari in a crash, regardless of the speed or 'chick magnet' appeal of the car.

Still farked. I'm amazed at how many people have lame-ass web servers. Granted, about 20,000 clicks from Farkers over the past 6 hours. But shouldn't a decent web server be able to handle that? Mine does.

Let's calculate, 20000 clicks over 6 hours... that's 3333 clicks a hour, or 55 a min, or .92 a second. Let's say 75% of the people click on a picture (I viewed all the pictures, so likly this rate is much higher).

The site main page is 112k and the avg picture size is 221k, so that's .92*112=103k a second for viewing the main page, and .92*.75*221=152k, or 255k a second, not even counting all the overhead of accepting a connection, ack's, etc. That's only if 25% did not click a single image or anything on the link, and 75% of people only clicked one.

Honestly, that's a hell of a lot of stress on a machine/connection that's not designed to take it.

You might be surprised at how badly your web server may handle a farking.

I believe this is where the site is being hosted:

http://www.divide0.net/index.php?link=Web_Hosting

Doesn't mention how much bandwith they give you with each package, but judging from how slow their site was, it can't be much. Oh and you can also get a whopping 25MB of space for only $25 a month!

/goes back to work laughing his ass off...

Not that it hasn't been said before, but www.wreckedexotics.com is a much larger and faster site.

It even has normal cars that got in very bad wrecks, for your additional amusement.

Anyone else notice the charred human remains in the diablo?

Webmaster again. In defense of my server, my site recieves around 3-4k visitors per day. Today I recieved 44k in about 12 hours. Thats about 20x my normal traffic. Not that I'm complaining but why should I pay extra for a really good server when its not necessary for my everyday traffic. I didn't know I was getting listed on the main page of fark. If I had advance notice I would have contacted my host and moved the site temporarily to a better server. I contacted my host and they did the best they could to accomodate on short notice and I removed a lot of the pictures to speed it up a little.

d00d I'm not going to crash the car!!!

So, in summary, as a former auto body prepper let me say:

Honda S2000 holds up pretty well. So does the NSX. Overall, not bad.

Chevys are death traps to this day. So are Fords.

Ferrari is quite disappointing. I expected much better. Finally something Lamborghini beats Ferrari at: structural integrity.

BMW is close to Porsche or Mercedes, but they all looked pretty damn good.

WORST ACCIDENT EVA!!!!! *pops i hope*

that's the fastest way to stop a bike.

anyone who buys a powerful car and drives like a moran, deserves to have darwinism applied to their ass. that's one less idiot to endanger my family's life.

Not picking on you, just thought I might be able to offer some assistance here.

For a link to pop, you need to format it as follows...

And there you go...

Good God...looking at some of these cars makes me wonder why anyone would be insane enough to buy one. Take this one for example:
http://www.rapidcars.com/murcrash.JPG
I wonder how far the driver was thrown from the car on impact?

2005-01-09 09:42:27 AM
07734, the original headline read: "Totaled pics of the some of the most exotic cars on the planet", the headline was changed because we were blatantly trolling it. see, get Total Fark and you can view totaled headlines before they get fixed. :)

2005-01-09 08:44:10 PM
As a claims adjuster, I can tell you that you would be surprised how many people want their totalled exoltics repaired...I'm sorry, but rebuilding the entire unibody of your car is just not safe. Take the cash.

...I hate my job
