Her sexual liaisons with him after the alleged rape do not make sense if she was upset about what was later reported as rape. Admittedly it's possible that she thought it was rape but couldn't do anything about it at the time, got to know him better and actually decided to go about sex willfully, and then after being apart from him decided that she really was mad about what happened initially. Unfortunately for her, her continued voluntary sexual contact with him has wrecked her credibility, and it appears that she has no actual evidence in the form of medical records or anything else, so there's really no evidence that anything actually did happen.

I couldn't really care less for William Smith, but speculating about the reasoning behind some of the court decisions in interesting.

Nobody in the press managed to notice that, but they sure as hell had all the time in the world to help a billion-dollar industry totally trash a helpless little $8-an-hour hotel clerk.
