What the deuce?
2004-12-28 05:56:55 AM
That's a big fish. batter it and fry it. mmmmmmm.
2004-12-28 06:00:54 AM
Awww, isn't it cute? Now let's harpoon it's ass and see if it makes for some tasty filets.
2004-12-28 06:05:17 AM
I just want to know what happened to the rest of the fish, it looks kind of half finished.
2004-12-28 06:10:04 AM
I've seen weirder fish. What qualifies it as the weirdest fish, anyways? Can it sing? I think not.
2004-12-28 06:13:37 AM
Funny this; for my b'day recently my neighbour gave me a delft-blue tile with this exact fish on it....

Have you ever eaten sun-fish? Absolutely delicious. Like a grouper/mahi-mahi/monkfish/seabass hybrid. Buttery and fluffy.
2004-12-28 07:01:04 AM
Fluffy? What, is it some kind of sheep-fish thing?
2004-12-28 07:22:05 AM
Sunfish? Looks more like Mr. Potatofish.
2004-12-28 08:05:15 AM
I think the goblin shark is stranger than that.
2004-12-28 08:10:02 AM

Be afraid, be very afraid ... hope dad set up a trust fund for her counseling that she is going to need years later.

there is a really gross parasitic fish that i encountered some years back while fishing in Puget Sound. it was a sultry and ominous summer, the hellish sky appeared blood red. anyway i was an infant i hear, and this fish still lives in my midsection to this day. it grows to about 6-7 inches when alarmed.
2004-12-28 11:51:00 AM
Yeah, that Goblin is ugly.

Do any of these wierd ones taste good?
2004-12-28 11:51:15 AM
YARR, That'll replace the whale in me nightmares!
2004-12-28 11:51:55 AM
I used to sail Sunfish. Very easy. No problem to right when capsized, and fun if you're a kid.
2004-12-28 11:52:44 AM
somebody call PETA! They might wanna protest the word "weird" in the headline!

This fish might take offense to that, and wouldn't want that label to get around to the other kids at school!

This fish's wife is probably a member of the PTA, and all the other fish wives would laugh at her being called "weird"!
2004-12-28 11:52:59 AM
yeah, so? This ain't new. They had a stuffed sunfish at the science musuem that my mom took me to at least twice a year ever since I was like 3. Big deal, it's a big farking fish. Gosh Fark is dead today!

2004-12-28 11:54:30 AM
Didn't we all have a conversation about Sunfish not too long ago? About that pic Gospel of Thomas posted? Am I the only one who remembers this?

Still an ugly fish though :-)

2004-12-28 11:54:45 AM
Wow, suddenly I have a craving to go catch it, and find some garlic, butter and lemons......If we can take pictures of it we can eat it. It looks pretty dumb.
2004-12-28 11:54:48 AM

Looks like a toilet seat lid with fins. But, in my opinion, most fish are strange looking.

Does anyone know if these images are copyrighted?
2004-12-28 12:01:21 PM
I saw one of these once while sailing, and the thing had such a stupid shape it could barely swim. Just kind of flailed its useless fins around without moving. I'm not quite sure how these things survive. They must stink so bad no other fish wants to eat them.

Proof that if Darwin was wrong at least the intelligent designer eats peyote.
