2004-12-22 12:20:33 PM

2004-12-22 12:21:02 PM
I'd like to tinker with her manuscript... no, wait...

Hey, I've heard someone new dies in this one... anyone know if that's true?
2004-12-22 12:21:22 PM
So she's rich and single, eh?
2004-12-22 12:21:27 PM
Would somebody please shoot Harry Potter?????
2004-12-22 12:22:04 PM
Someone new dies? As in, someone who is not already dead? If that is what you mean, then by golly I think you are right! :)
2004-12-22 12:23:06 PM
does Rowling need a boy toy? 'Cause my wife is willing to rent me out for, well, rent.
2004-12-22 12:23:37 PM
Roland of Gilead or even Randall Flagg would kick Potters arse any day

/still though, it is good that people are reading
2004-12-22 12:23:44 PM
i pre-ordered it last night
2004-12-22 12:23:52 PM

2004-12-22 12:24:18 PM
I'm posting in this thread.
2004-12-22 12:25:00 PM

I'm with you.. I happened to be in the room when one of those movies was being watched and I just don't see how adults get into that.. no offense to anyone, too each their own, but this is slightly out of hand

Who hear wants to see the seventh book titled "Harry Potter and the Flesh Eating Parasite"?

Or better yet "Harry Potter and the Broken Condom"?

Hey, I'd read the seventh book if either had that title. Hell, I'd buy two and keep one in a bank deposit box just in case the first one disappeared.
2004-12-22 12:26:37 PM
"magic is real, that's right, we've known about it for years"

hate money biatches
2004-12-22 12:27:25 PM
Everyone was talking about the last one being impossible to find and sold out at the bookstores on the day of release. My wife found one a week later at Kroger for 40% off.
2004-12-22 12:28:09 PM
Whatever it takes to get kids reading again.
2004-12-22 12:28:09 PM
Replace "hear" with "here" in last post, and please apply "Asshat" sticker to my forehead in a timely fashion.

Things to do today...

1. Take over world.
2. Learn how to spell.
3. Drink.
2004-12-22 12:29:14 PM
Hermoine is hot. There, I said it.

And Dumbledore is Harry gone back in time, conceived by Weasley and Hermoine and Hagrid is really Lord Voldemort. Whoops, sorry.
2004-12-22 12:29:23 PM
I can't wait. All the Anti-HP people can go stuff it...
2004-12-22 12:29:48 PM
Well, refarkedbeans, if you think someone can't die twice you're just not trying ;)

I don't remember, who died in book five? Was it Sirius? Hopefully so, since XM is hella better...
2004-12-22 12:30:07 PM
Mugato: Hermoine is hot. There, I said it.

She's only 14. WTF is the matter with you people?
2004-12-22 12:31:27 PM
...Standing in line is half the fun though. You get to fark with people and start rumors about how you heard on the internet that in this episode ron and harry experiment with their sexuality.

/not that I'd ever...
2004-12-22 12:33:43 PM
only 14 eh...where is that countdown page for her again?
2004-12-22 12:33:59 PM
PLease don't base your opinion of Harry Potter on the movies, they suck comparatively.
2004-12-22 12:34:30 PM
Don't let THEM immanentize the Eschaton!
2004-12-22 12:34:31 PM
people who buy these books should be administered free euthanasia in the parking lot.
2004-12-22 12:35:53 PM
Harry Potter book releases make as much money as an opening weekend of a major film.

Fun books.

And JKR is on her 2nd husband and 3rd kid.
2004-12-22 12:36:10 PM
Harry Potter and the Ass That Wouldn't Quit . . .

2004-12-22 12:36:11 PM
Roland of Gilead or even Randall Flagg would kick Potters arse any day

say thankya/
2004-12-22 12:36:27 PM
I can't wait. All the Anti-HP people can go stuff it...

Well said! I just preordered mine about a half hour ago.
2004-12-22 12:37:24 PM

The entirety of Mugato's post was sarcasm and you choose to focus on the Hermione bit as truth?

2004-12-22 12:37:32 PM
I love the books. Love them. But they bother me too. I don't like how the characters know how to travel back in time, yet, when Sirius is killed, Harry can't go back and save him. There are so many holes and questions like that that bother me while I read.
2004-12-22 12:37:54 PM
Prisoner os Azbakan was the best reflection of the books and it was still very far away.
2004-12-22 12:38:05 PM
Also, all you Anti-HP people: why are you even here? Last time I checked, there were plenty of other threads to check out. So, git.
2004-12-22 12:38:17 PM

The movies aren't terribly good. I ended up reading the books, half on a dare, half on my desire to find out what-in-the-hell the big deal was. Three weeks later, I had read 2000+ pages of the first five books.

/24-year-old dude
//not ashamed to admit he enjoyed the HP books
///too proud to stand on line at Barnes & Noble all night with the rest of the freaks
////saving that for Star Wars III
//Which will suck
2004-12-22 12:38:20 PM
Harry Potter and the painful erection

Harry Potter and the film canister of coke

Harry Potter and the mystery martian

Harry Potter and the science fair winning rocket

Harry Potter and the ugly chick that dials 911 with her tongue

/obviously bored
2004-12-22 12:38:31 PM
Okay, they're good books, and I'm going to get this book eventually. But preordering it the moment it's complete?
2004-12-22 12:38:42 PM
Emma Watson (Hermoine) may only be 14, but she is still hot. Three years and 114 days (April 15, 2008) until turns 18 -- not that I'm counting.
2004-12-22 12:39:15 PM
Sirius will be back Obi Wan Kenobi - style

/that sounds way worse than I meant it
2004-12-22 12:40:44 PM
I pre-ordered mine yesterday morning. Sure the books may not be on the same playing field as Grapes of Wrath or something but they are incredibly enjoyable books all the same and I'm not ashamed to say I'm a major fan (but if one more person makes a joke about my being related to Harry Potter due to my last name I will snap)
2004-12-22 12:41:20 PM
Hermione Countdown (pops)

Not that I visit it or anything...
2004-12-22 12:41:26 PM
Customers who pre-order Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince avoid standing in long queues at bookshops on the day of the book's release next July.

Because there's SUCH a limited supply that none of them would ever be able to be a copy say...later that week?
2004-12-22 12:42:14 PM
Jimbo they're not ordering the barley completed manuscript.
2004-12-22 12:42:47 PM

a joke about my being related to Harry Potter due to my last name I will snap

One of my friends looks kinda like Harry Potter. Scraggly hair, skinny, crazy eyes.

When he visited japan, everywhere he went, people were screaming "HARRI POTTA!!!" and asking to get their picture taken with him.

He played it up, using chopsticks like wands, and getting many a laugh out of the people around him.

/pointless story
2004-12-22 12:42:47 PM
because we're embarassed to be from a country where most adults dont read unless it's a hyped-up childrens book?
2004-12-22 12:43:04 PM
Tricky Chicken: only 14 eh...where is that countdown page for her again?

That would be right here.

/didn't know that offhand
2004-12-22 12:43:20 PM
Rowling is quite the MILF, i've never noticed that before today
