Dear Submitter

Welcome to Kobe beef, circa 1977.

Love, the rest of us who already knew that.

Oh, The Humanity!

2004-12-22 12:02:07 PM
Yeah, but they're probably all drinking Shiat beer anyway. I'd love to see a drunk cow, tho.

Your Cow wants Guiness

All of the increased bovine flatulence associated with beer consumption will only serve to hasten the global warming effect. Your dog wants Coppertone SP5000.

2004-12-22 12:06:28 PM
Yeah, but it is gonna make a killer steak.

2004-12-22 12:07:15 PM
It is also common practice in Germany to feed the leftover slop from the brewing process to pigs; they are kept roaring drunk from the day they are born to the day they die, a short life but a merry one! It's called "Bierbraten" and it's ther best pork you can buy.

Seriously, the slop left over at the bottom of ther fermentation jug is mainly dead yeast, not drinkable anyway. Might as well put it to good use.

According to a PETA news posting, beer is much better for you than milk.

Some of their talking points:

- beer has 0 fat, milk is loaded with it
- beer has 0 cholesterol, versus milks 20mg/236mL
- making beer involves no hormones/antibiotics/etc.

Seriously. You can't make this stuff up.

Aussies would label it Vegemite and eat it.

Beer does taste better than most milk. See Beer is loaded with nutrients, that's why college students are so healthy.

The company asked if the feed business would like to get free beer which had outlived its shelf life, not for its workers but to mix in with its feed, said Jack Fisher, the feed company's owner.

Anyone really want to old drink beer that's expired? It might be fresh beer now, but unless you know of a beer shortage, I can't see how this would be a problem.

2004-12-22 12:11:09 PM
Yup, now there's some real contented cows, son...

Peta sucks and they always lie about everything.
Yeah and as the Boobieser said, Kobe beef gets beer sake and all kinds of things to give them alot of intramuscular fat deposits.

This is what amazes me. Most college students are actually quite healthy (at least in terms of sickness). Moreso than they should be. A diet consisting of grease and alcohol, no excercise, too little sleep, no regular sleep cycle, plenty of stress. College kids should be the weakest, sickest, people on the planet. Yet somehow they aren't.

I'm calling BS. The cattleman's name is Miller. Sounds like some cheap publicity stunt for Milwaukee piss water.

Helios1182,

Kids are resilient. Wait until they turn 30. I'm starting to feel like shait. Should my hands be this swollen all the time?

Pfft

I've been marinating steak in beer for years

2004-12-22 12:17:08 PM
Helios1182 -- Could be that they're still young enough to have kick-ass immune systems despite all the damage they're doing to their livers. I didn't start having problems getting sick until my early thirties.

Never did like beer, though... slow, nasty alcohol delivery system. Always went for the shots, not that I do that sort of thing anymore.

2004-12-22 12:17:38 PM
Beer is commonly used in cattle feed in Japan and Canada

I didn't know that Prime Alberta beef was actually "Primed Alberta beef"

a)college students are also a lot younger and so they don't get as sick as everyone else because we're just natrually healthy
b) beer is better than milk, but i don't want to think of hops when i eat my cereal
c) whoever thought of beer had a lot of free time: "I'll just let these seeds sit in water and germinate... how about I kiln them and let them sit in water again... what if I boil the water and add hops? Now let me put it in my carboy which i sanitized with iodophore, throw on an airlock, wait two weeks, transfer it to a secondary, add priming sugar, bottle, wait two weeks. Okay that last part is a little more modern, but damn if it's not fun.

Your dog wants beer.

2004-12-22 12:24:12 PM

Wait, wait... If the cows don't get massaged every day and is fed a wholesome grain diet, it's not Washu Gyu (Kobe).

The massage encourages the fat to marble with the muscle to give that marble look all over the cow, not just the tender parts. Whole grain diet (I believe this is a part of it) is fed to the cows, along with fruits and beer during summer time for making sure cow's appetite remains healthy.

All that makes for the best beef on the land, screw black anguses, screw canadien beef, once you go Washu Gyu (Kobe), it's like ... well, erm.

You'll have beef, but it's just not the same.

They call that Vegemite and Marmite in Australia and UK. Just so you know.

Pretty good on crackers in small helpings. Very small helpings.

Ummm, the left over grain from brewing beer doesn't contain any alcohol, neither does the yeast. How exactly are these pigs kept roaring drunk?

2004-12-22 12:34:28 PM
happy cows are tasty cows. i approve.

2004-12-22 12:34:31 PM
The left over yeast from brewing, not the beerporker.

2004-12-22 12:34:43 PM
See, this is why I am a vegetarian. Raising cattle is so wasteful of precious resorces... resources like beer.

Those resources should instead be going directly to people.... people like me.
