Dear Mr. Farrell:

You are a no-talent asshat. People don't want to hear how much you are overpaid; they want you to go away.

Thank you

He was pretty good in Elf and Old School.

2004-12-22 05:05:41 PM
As long as people are talking about how overpaid he is, they won't notice that I'm overpaid.

2004-12-22 05:08:39 PM
He's nailed pretty much everything nailable in hollywood - even if he made my pathetic salary, he'd be overpaid.

2004-12-22 05:08:45 PM

To me, entertainment shows like Extra! are just proof that the downfall of mankind is rapidly approaching.

"Colin Farrell admits to being overpaid"

You know, the other day right before I bought MC Hammer a cup of coffee and a hot sandwich, he told me that he used to say the exact same thing years ago.

Hey, as least the executives and upper management of corporations know better then to say things like this. No body likes to hear the truth.

Right?

/right?

I remember reading an interview with Jodie Foster back when she was at Yale. She said she kept expecting someone to knock on her dorm room door and say "I'm sorry, you've got to leave. We meant to admit another Jodie Foster, not you." This seems to be a pretty common insecurity among many talented writers, actors, etc.

Why is it asshats like Colin Farrell never have these thoughts? It's not like he's saying he doesn't think he's talented: he's just trying to be one of the lads by carping about how he's overpaid.

Anyone want to start a death pool on Farrell? He seems like one of those 'artistes' who's determined to die young after drinking his weight in booze.

Langtry,
I'm betting on one of the Olsen twins. Too much, too quick.

Langtry

Believe me, I have consumed my weight in booze, and I feel fine. Now consuming your weight in cocaine...

2004-12-22 05:18:22 PM
Isn't he kind of saying that it's silly how much actors get paid for doing an awesome fun job? I'd think you guys would agree with that.

2004-12-22 05:20:51 PM
I saw Colin Farrell interviewed a short while back, I think on the Charlie Rose show, and it somewhat changed my opinion of Farrell. I thought before that he was somewhat an ass, but he came off as being an alright guy.

/All of the 'A' list actors are vastly overpaid

No sh*t! My money's on Ashley - it's always the one you think is doing okay that ends up buying the farm.

Yes we do have an obvious tag because that is what I tried to submit this story with.

SNL hasn't been the same since he quit.

/strategery

2004-12-22 05:24:22 PM
He'll be dead by 35

2004-12-22 05:24:45 PM
I thought he did an ok job in phone booth... That said, I completely agree that he otherwise is an overpaid hack.

Good point, I concur.

2004-12-22 05:28:37 PM

Ooooh, the irony.

2004-12-22 05:29:13 PM
This guy has been in every other film for the last 3 or 4 years. I , for one , am tired of seeing him.

He's a decent actor , but damn! He's not THAT great.

2004-12-22 05:29:25 PM
Guess what?

Most actors are over paid. The only ones who really deserve any cash are those that can absolutely guarentee a movie showing a profit in a couple weekends. Other than that, a few hundred thousand should be seen a princely sum for any actor to do a maximum of 60 or 70 days of work (usually it's closer to 20-50 depending on the size of the role).

I like the fact that Farrell has the stones to admit that the amount of money that goes to hollywood actors is mind bogglingly out of whack with the service they provide.

2004-12-22 05:30:07 PM
This guy keeps on earning my respect! First the incredibly gay Alexander routine on ANL and now this. Maybe he's not such a douche bag afterall?

COLIN FARREL: no-talent assclown

WILL FARRELL: funny

It seems unanimous. While the vote is split on Collin, everyone loves Will.

/not surprised

I like Colin Farrell. I think he is pretty kick-ass.

That pretty much happened to me. I received an invitation to the honors banquet when I was on academic probation. They had to come around and tell me it was meant for the next guy in the school, alphabetically. It's just that in addition to being a talented writer or actor, I'm also a massive underachiever with little ambition.

/the dean's secretary sure was a screw-up.
//I'm overpaid now, also.

2004-12-22 05:37:20 PM
/me doesnt love Will, hates all of his movies

sorry to ruin the streak people

And i did like American Outlaws

In all seriousness, I tend to agree. Ewan MacGregor said roughly the same thing a few years back, which upped his cred with me.

/farkit extension is the shizz, y'all
