Heh, it's funny 'cause it's true. Well, sorta true. That would be a crappy middle name.

Loser, that is.

Well what can you expect? Hillary Clinton couldn't keep her husband in line, either!

How crappy must Kerry feel knowing that it was never about his ability to lead a nation, it was his beating heart, age, and citizenship that the left cared about.

ABB, nothing more than a small footnote in our nation's history.

Will this ever end? I have a feeling there will be some idiot at the swearing-in yelling "Hold up! We found these votes over here!"
I'm all for letting go, and moving on...

Combined with one Minnesotan casting their presidential vote for John Edwards, a minor crisis could have existed if Kerry had won with a small margin.

Massachusetts Senator John F. Kerry carried New York as the Democratic nominee for president, but lost the nationwide election to President Bush.

What? When the fark did that happen! This article must be satire.

No, no it wouldn't have resulted in a small crisis. Cause everyone in the farking world knew the electoral votes were going to John Kerry or George Bush. Jesus farking christ. This is the most trivial piece of BS ever. This is not someone trying to overturn the election, GET A GODDAMN GRIP.

And by "witty" i mean "retarded," and by "undiminished," I mean "burns with the senseless intensity of a man pole after sex with Courtney Love."

To all the Bushies crowing about his win being a 'mandate':

Hell, even Saddam Hussein got %98 of the last vote in Iraq for an even bigger 'mandate'. And look where that got him.

Indeed, A Midnight Bout of Frenzied Concupiscence. George W. Bush has, by contrast, done an excellent job of "leading" the nation...

..into a friggin' hole.

I mean, who could doubt the leadership abilities of a man who has uttered such powerful statements as "The benefits of helping somebody is beneficial," and "You teach a child to read and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test," and "Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream"?

We'd be better off if we'd elected a seeing-eye dog.

Only if the rest of the country followed New York into the election. They knew who to go for and they were the ones attacked by terrorists.

The "W" in George W. Bush stands for "Waterhead".

Tee hee.

It'd be much more amusing if Texas' EC voters certified their votes for George H W Bush.

Hey, if Bush could get elected the first time because a bunch of Floridians couldn't fill out their ballots correctly, he could lose the second time because some electors screwed up theirs. Seems reasonable (except that it didn't actually happen, of course).

supergimpman4 seems to be implying that I was pulling for Kerry.

Actually, I was pulling for not-Bush. I don't really care that Kerry LOST, what bothers me is that Bush WON. What bothers me is that he's in the White House, AGAIN, and not where he belongs at this very moment: Prison.

How stupid is this country, to ask someone with an obvious, 4-year record of nothing but FAILURE to give it another go?

You tell me. I mean, you're clearly part of the "stupid" contingent, as evidenced by your sharp-as-a-sack-of-wet-marshmallows variety of wit, so maybe you can give those of us who aren't similarly burdened an idea of what it's like.

Incidentally, the FY 2004 actual deficit of 596 billion dollars is, adjusted for inflation, the 3rd highest in history, behind only 1944 and 1945.
The US debt as a percentage of GDP is the highest it's been since 1955, and is 8.5% higher than when bush took office.

I hope your kids like 60% tax rates, cause that's what they're going to have to pay to cover the interest Bush is setting us up for.

The Real Deal

The American people generally elect the party that is not acting like a bunch of freaking clowns.

When Bill Clinton was running for second term we Republicans had absolutely nothing to say but foaming at the mouth screeching about Bill Clinton and Jerry Fallwell trotting out videos. We had a nice, experienced, qualified, war hero as a candidate and we acted like a bunch of loons and got our ass handed to us when we shouldn't have.

This time, Democrats have gone off the freaking deep end. Taking off their clothes and spelling rude things about Bush, calling him a chimp day in and day out, calling him an idiot, sending out Whoopi and Barbara and every ditzy 15-minute celebrity to cuss at him. Throwing up on cars and causing traffic jams. You had a nice, experienced, qualified, war hero as a candidate and you blew it and got your ass handed to you when you shouldn't have.

So Democrats can continue the same strategy or they can take off the chimp t-shirt and put on a suit and tie and start talking in a normal voice and start calling him "the President" when you criticize him and MAYBE the American public will begin perceiving you as a serious party capable of actually governing seriously and behaving like they want the party in power to behave.

Thats it. Just friendly advice.

Hey Midnight Bout, who were you responding to? Me? It must be me, seeing as I'm the only one who addressed you directly. Let's see if I can respond to your comment accordingly:

A Midnight Bout of Frenzied Concupiscence said:
Nah,

"Nah"? "Nah" what?? "Nah," all that stuff I said isn't true?

We've literally turned Iraq into a flaming hole in the ground (well, a whole bunch of them, anyway). The economy, regardless of the shiny statistics Bush's people try to jangle around in our faces (y'know, those ones that don't actually prove anything good), is basically a hole. "Hole" also seems to be a pretty good metaphor for taking one of the best budget surpluses in history and soundly turning it into a record deficit. World opinion of the US, especially in terms of our government? Yep, "hole" works pretty well there, too!

I could probably go on, but you get the point. So, your disagreement with THAT part of the statement shows you to be either monumentally ignorant or stupid, or in great deal of denial. Possibly some combination of the three. Maybe that's not what you disagree with, though...

You couldn't be disagreeing with my assessment of the quotes, because, again, only a really stupid person would feel they reveal anything else; or the existence of the quotes themselves, since they're on factual record. Nope. Couldn't be that.

Oh, I know! Maybe it was the seeing-eye dog thing! Well, to be honest, as any idiot can plainly see, I was mostly just being facetious in that case, but hey, I'll humor you. Demonstrate to me through critical comparison that George W. Bush has greater leadership capabilities than an ordinary seeing-eye dog.

At least the dog can learn that when it's getting its nose rubbed in something, that means its made a mistake. George, meanwhile, believes himself to be infallible and couldn't name a SINGLE mistake made by him in his capacity as President when pointedly asked about it ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.

I mean, good lord, he could've mentioned those three dumbass quotes of his that I posted and he would've merely looked stupid, as opposed to looking like an arrogant jackass, but noooo, that was too much to expect from the likes of him!

I'm happy with who we've got.

Good for you. Give me one reason why I shouldn't believe you're an imbecile, now.

2004-12-22 01:25:56 AM
As an American, I have a problem with many Democrats distaste for the "red" states. I can understand that you believe Kerry to be a better candidate. What I can't understand is why everyone that voted for Bush is automatically stupid.

Exit polls showed that Bush received more Dem. votes (percentage-wise) than Kerry received from Reps. Though I can understand your anger with those who made the "stupid" choice of voting for Bush, I can't see what you could possibly gain from calling them such. Had I voted for Bush (or worse yet, voted straight ticket Republican) being labeled stupid or ignorant would dissuade me from considering these people's opinions in the future.

I guess what I'm saying is: What could you possibly gain by attacking the majority? 51% is a majority. I don't want to vote for those that belittle me. Telling someone you're smarter than them is not a way to gain their ear. If they won't listen to you, you can't persuade them to choose you. Why dig a deeper hole?

That's both sad AND disturbing. He must have been touched by a dirty, coke snorting, gay communist news reporting liberal when he was very young.

I'm going to make a movie with a guy f*cking a pig, and have him turn to the camera and say, "I'm a conservative." And then a guy blowing up an abortion clinic. "I'm a conservative." Then a klansman, lighting a cross on fire. "I'm a conservative."

You know, because those stereotypes are so helpful and really improve public discourse.
